There’s a cliff near our home that overlooks the ocean. It’s become my family's “sunset spot”. We’ll pile into the van and head there to watch the sun come down over the Pacific, usually with some In N Out or ice cream in hand. It’s always a beautiful time together. I recorded Hymn Of Heaven (Acoustic Sessions) with that exact scene in mind. I actually have a photo of my kids at our “sunset spot” and throughout the project, I kept coming back to that photo. I wanted to make a version of Hymn Of Heaven that would be a soundtrack to those kinds of moments.

Hearing this music while reading all of your testimonies reminded me that He is faithful and good. We had a very toxic household before and my parents would usually fight. Through constant prayer and declaration that our household will serve the Lord no matter what, He was able to restore my parent's relationship. Nothing is impossible to Him.

I was ex Buddhist and now I am Christian Child of God.
I just wanted to tell you how God has used your music to bless me. In April 2010 my pregnancy was not going well. As I rushed to the hospital early in the morning, obviously scared, your song Safe came on the radio. I had never heard the song. The words of the chorus stuck in my head. I was in the hospital for a few weeks and then had to go home while my son was still in the NICU. That whole time, when it was quiet, that song stayed in my mind, a constant reminder that God was protecting me and my son. This month my son will be 12. Praise God!!! Thank you for your music that proclaims Christ and is a reminder that God is with us and for us.

Im a truck driver and I first heard this song driving down the road...I had to pull over and cry it spoke to me so much. It felt so good. Now it's my favorite song for the moment. The Holy Spirit woke me up this morning at 4 am, and I finally was able to ask Him what do I need to pray for, whom should I pray for and He told me that He woke me up so I would not die today in my sleep, He said "pray for yourself to stay alive". Yes, the pain is gone, or even if it isn't gone it feels as if it is no longer there, because I'm finally enabled by His grace (after I surrendered everything) to rejoice in pain and for the first time in my life to know what it means to walk in the power of YHWH. Reverence, Obedience, and staying Humble before Him Who alone is able to do far above what we can imagine or ask for, is the way. "Look where I'm standing now!" The Truth! I am from Liberia ( a small country in west Africa). i grown up never seeing my both parents. things were very hid specially during the 14years civil war in my country. I had to become a child soldier just to survive. I did all kinds of things to get through each day. I never felt good enough for anything because I never saw my parents. i tried killing my self so many times, but God always saved me. I was a broken and lost soul until I gave my life to Jesus, and He saved me! I never had a family growing up but today, I have a beautiful wife that loves me very much! and we have an Orphanage 69 children living with HIV that we take care of and they are our family. THANK YOU JESUS!

I feel you brother. The symptoms of MS appeared in my life also at the end of 2021 beginning of 2022. In 2023 I was officially diagnosed and I'm going through the exact same thing. Continuing from last comment. I have listened to this 30 or 40 times over. Manifesting on the words and the promises of God's great love for us. My wife and I lost a child to suicide in Nov. 17,2020. His loss has been devastating and the anguish we have went through and been unbearable. God using you to produce such an album in such a timely manner when I needed it most just shows who He is as our Savior. I love 29 minutes in the song, Look Where Im Standing Now. Phil whickhams music is a blessing from God. Through his music the Lord has helped me so much. I’m 19 years old, grew up in the church, knew about God, was even baptized at 13. But I rejected it all completely by the way I lived, and there the Lord came running inspite of it all, there he hung on the cross to save me and he rose again. The King of King, Lord of Lord, God in the flesh he died for me. He saved me. If he can with me you can with you. If you would just turn to him and trust him completely, forget all these worldly things and get in your Bible and prayer have a relationship with him devote your life to him and do it because he has loved you all the way to cross and died for you. Come on! Turn to him!! Is his arm too short that it cannot save!? I reckon the Lord can and will saved the “worst of the worst” you are never ever too far gone for him to reach he is God. And he loves you and will forgive you please just come to him and turn to him. I beg you, there is only love in the heart of God!

I was in an abusive relationship for 7 years and God pulled me out of it. I am free from alcohol 27 months, free from cigarettes 10 months and marijuana 2 months and I do not take anymore more Valium for anxiety. God has saved me from all addictions and he calms me down when I have anxiety and when I am super tired and weak I ask for strength and he gives it to me. I just turned 73 yesterday--praise Jesus! Because some years ago, He healed me of heart failure, cuz if He hadnt I would have been dead long ago--not celebrating another birthday! It was the kind of heart failure that no doctor or surgeon could help with--only my Great Physician!!!

Lately, I've been experiencing anxiety/depression (I didn't got it checked by a professional/psychiatrist) but knowing that what I've been experiencing shows signs of anxiety. Perhaps, most Christians think that "you shouldn't be like that because you're a Christian as well" "you have a little faith" "maybe you're not praying right" And thinking that it's a taboo topic for Christians and oftentimes what you received was judgements/condemnation without knowing the real story behind. Everyday, I cried to God while praying/talking to Him asking Him to keep me strong in the crisis I'm facing. Failure after failure = pain after pain, it came to a point where I said to myself "Perhaps your story is not to be successful, but even if, please be strong. Let God's glory shines in your failures." I'm battling with the enemy's negativities raging in my head, clouding my thoughts. Then I realized, having anxiety/depression doesn't mean I lose my faith, for me, it is a battlefield where I am most close to Christ. With each tear that falls, with each negativity that strikes me - I'm holding to God's hand and pleading Him to hold me tighter when it seems I can't. With this experience, I knew my identity was not based on what I might achieved or being successful but rather my identity is in Christ - it is fixed, unshaken, and secured. May this testimony inspires someone today. Always remember God loves us all. He loves you more than you could ever imagined🤍🙌
I feel very similar to you during this season of my life. We must continue to cast ourselves into his presence daily, for strength to abide in his love for us in Christ. Please read Psalm 31 and pray through it with me in spirit as we trust in him during our trials. Blessings

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother passing away. My grandmother passed away two weeks ago, and she always said how wonderful it is that God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. It was her favorite passage in the Bible. She reminded me of His promise every time we talked, right up to the day she died. Can you just imagine what both of our grandmothers are seeing and doing at this very moment? Praise the Lord for their lives. God bless!

My mom died when I was 30. Cancer throughout her body. She got baptized a cpl months before she died. God is good. Her life was so hard. I had just left the hospital and she was unconscious. I got home and a feeling swept through me .The phone rang. It was my step dad telling me she passed. I felt her spirit tell me "I'm OK Laurie. It is beautiful here" Our life may not be good, but God is always GOOD.

I was addicted to my partner... I hoped that we could be really happy... But we were different and Jesus saved me that day that I had an accident. I understood that it was a warning... I followed Jesus in everyway but my partner don't. So we broke up. I pray to peace for both of us. Thank you God. You saved me from that situation. Now I'm here enjoying this moment feeling at peace!

God touched and healed me in a special way when I was 16. I had depression and my life seemed to be going nowhere. That was 27 years ago. Needless to say, I have never gotten over His peace and the love that he filled me with. There is a fire burning in my heart for Him. Thanks Phil, for giving a voice to this deep love that never goes away.

Ask God for help and glorify HIM through it. He will come through for you. My wife almost done with her masters degree. She is working full time, internship 2 days out of the week and school work on top of all that. She's 2 months away from completing this journey. It can be done, just leave it in HIS hands and trust HIM.

Hi. I just wanted to share my thoughts.. listening to these songs always made me feel so calm and at peace. But right now it's different, I feel sad, in my heart, I feel this sadness. Mother's day is about to come up, and God reminded me of how much we all should appreciate our mothers and even our fathers. In the Bible, it says that in the end times children will disrespect their parents. Jesus reminded me of how He assigned John in place of Him, to be the son of Mary, when he was about to die. I am adopted and have always felt like I was not enough, or out of place for some reason. This is not because of my parents, I love my parents, with all my heart because they raised me and treated me like their own daughter. But it was something in me--a battle of my own mind. I am writing this so that you know that you are enough, and you are where you need to be because God placed you where you need to be. There have been many times when I felt incomplete, thirsting for more accomplishments, stressing over the feeling of success. I felt like I was losing sight of what was actually important, He reminded me to focus on Him and dedicate my talents to Him, because His promise is if we give Him our talents, He would multiply them. If you ever feel that you are not enough, remind yourself that God covered your missing pieces and made you whole. Jesus said that He knows the adversities that we are facing because He has been there. Trust me, my God is a God of healing, unconditional love, and hope. He said that He has called you by your name and you are His. Whatever adversities that you are facing today, my God is even greater, He is omniscient, a power you cannot describe because of how great it is, yet He still died on the cross for you so that you can claim salvation through Him. If you feel that you are not loved, you are! God will provide a breakthrough, revival and healing. I love you. Jesus loves you. Reach out to Him because He is always listening to our prayers. On one hand I am nothing but a sinner and deserve nothing in this life and without Him I wouldn’t have breath in my lungs. Thank you Father God for healing my husband, and keeping him alive to finish his race strong. Also Father God, thank you that my precious grandson did not have to have major surgery to remove a calcified lymph node. Thank you for the doctors who were involved in both of these cases. Thank you, Father, for the stripes that Jesus bore for their healing. Amen!

The Summer of 2022 three things happened: Our landlord decided to sell the house we were renting and gave us a month to move out. What we could find was half the square footage of were we were living (860sq with two energetic kids). The second thing that happened is we found out my husband's testicular cancer came back in his lungs and he was going to have to undergo chemo. We found that out on moving day. The third thing that happened is this album was posted on CZcams. God used this album to give me HIS peace...I would listen to this over, and over and over again. I knew it was going to be difficult, but I knew it was going to be OK and the Lord would be with us. I highly doubt Phil Wickham will see this comment, but if you do, thank you for letting God use you in your talents
We all have a story. And "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.". The Tsetimony is OUR STORY. I was abused as a child by a perverted Bible banging grandfather. My dad got shot out of the sky in Viet Nam when I was 10. I had no siblings. I picked abusive partners and I wound up with 4 little boys as a single mom. Little Child support. Homeless 9 times through out my life. Put myself through college to become a nurse. Fast Forward to another marriage, divorce. Had had my 5th child, the only girl when I was 36. All my abuse memories decided to come back then. When my daughter was 17, she got the Gardasil Vaccine and got something similar to Multiple sclerosis (A.D.E.M.). Became disabled. Just 6 months prior my son had a brain hemorrhage. Became disabled. I had emergency abdominal surgery and my house went into foreclosure. All in 12 months. My life has not been good. But God has Always been good. I own 2 pairs of shoes and can't afford a bottom denture. And I consider myself really blessed and am very grateful. You will make it through and will look back in awe at how He did it.
