- DiMarzio's new Black Angel Piezo and Magnetic pickups have been sitting in my review queue for awhile now, so I decided to do a cover of one of my favourite songs of all time, Albatross by the amazing Big Wreck. Belted vocals are definitely good for the soul!

All acoustic guitar tones were done using the Black Angel pickups either together or panned wide in stereo. No preamp or active electronics - straight into my Apogee Duet. Some EQ and compression were applied post. The piezo really works perfectly in concert with the soundhole pickup, adding depth and warmth to the low end and filling out the sound.

Good solid playing. Fantastic vocals. Great sound quality. Only thing I'd change is hit the strings harder to give more definition to each note. This might be a good song to try on a 12-string. Might want to consider that too. By far the best cover of that song on YT. Good job, buddy! 2 thumbs way up from me.

Do you have them blending at once or two jacks for each separate Black Angel model?
I'm sorry, I honestly don't remember how I did it, it was 5 years ago and the guitar is long sold. From memory I think I just had separate jacks and any blending was done in DAW
