the Black Angel Piezo dp235 has a 3.55 input jack for the Black Angel dp234 magnetic directly attached to the endpin it comes with so you can connect it directly to the sound hole Black Angel pickup.
You just have one output but it is TRS stereo. A regular guitar cable will just pick up the piezo pickup but if you split the trs into 2 mono signals you can have both the piezo and magnetic coming out so you can preamp them on a mixer.

that's a great combo but I still prefer the sound and the air of a piezo + internal mic system expecially if you are into percussive fingerstyle ...all soundhole magnetic P.U are great for wet or overdriven signals since they should be quite feedback free but they still sound a bit plastiky! You guys of DiMarzio should develop a great piezo+ mic or mag+mic system...It would definitely rock this world! cheers

I absolutely love what youve done here... but it is just lacking in what I am looking for. It has that sort of "twang" and "manufactured" sound I would really actually want on a regular electric guitar.(Could that be Antoine's preamp or effects doing that? I just do not ever hear that twang on any of his other recordings...) I recently bought an Agile 8x Renaissance 8 string acoustic. I knew right off the bat the pickups in it wouldnt get the snare sound I so desire, but if I mess with the eq and presence enough it works... I am unaware of ANY pickup for acoustic 8 string guitar, whether it be piezo, magnetic or mic. Closest thing I can find is the K&K with the mic and preamp. The sound I get out of a Fishman Rare Earth Blends microphone is just amazing, but with just a bit too much on the high end. Plus. the humbucker isnt long enough for all 8 strings, so I am currently stuck with what came pre-installed on the guitar. If there were some way to get rid of that twang on these Black Angels and add a mic to it, I truly believe you would have the perfect sound. You should totally make me one haha

Hi Larry! I've just purchased my first set of dimarzio pick ups and want to know if I picked right. I bought a tone zone and a air Norton to put in a PRS se tremonti, do you think this will work well to get a good fat sound like guns n roses?

Or the Black Angel Piezo and Magnetic are available separately from Musician's Friend. You'll have to do a little rewire.

is there somewhere some kind of instruction ho to rewire the seperate party , because i'm afraid of buying the system and not getting it done to connect the piezo with the magnetic pick-up
Hi, Currently they are only available individually. However, I did a redesign on the Piezo output jack and comes stereo pre-wired with an 1/8th inch connector for the magnetic. Once the piezo is installed the magnetic just plugs into the mini and it's up and running.

One pickup is different from another based up what magnet it uses, number of winding turns of the wire, tension of the wire while it's being wound....what else?
And how can you keep those things consistent?

He's using both pickups but only has one jack out of the bottom of the guitar. Wouldn't he need two different jacks and chords for both systems?
Hi Jaymin, Yes, the output Jack is stereo. One channel is the magnetic and the channel is the piezo.

Hi Larry, can you tell me how to connect the black angel and the black angel piezo in one system like in this video? Antonie has only one cable, but two pickups.
Hi, The single cable is stereo ... one channel carries the magnetic on one carries the piezo. The new Black Angel Piezo pickups includes the a stereo output jack with an1/8" cable (for the magnetic) pre-wired.

Hi Larry No complaints about the Black angel Magnetic but when i install the piezo dp 235 it gives me ground hum and the output is also weak is there anything goin wrong with my pickup or it needs pre amp as well
Hi Rob, Sorry to hear that your having a problem. Please contact DiMarzio at 800 221 6468 and ask for Eric. The piezo is very quiet and actually louder than the magnetic so something is wrong.
