I never thought i'd miss this type of pop punk. I thought it was slow, glossy crap compared to the older stuff. It still is but i listened to the story so far and neck deep recently.....Wtf happened to this genre??? Theres nothing punk about autotune and hipster culture.

Suryo Ardi well yea the lineup started to fall apart and they changed their sound again. If anything my favorite release from them is anywhere but here when derrick plourde(lagwagon) and marko disantis(sugarcult) were in the band. At this point the band has gone through too many lineup changes its just kris and a bunch of hired guns that he swaps out every couple of years

Does anyone know how to do that growl type singing kris does? Like when he sings, "never should reply"
I'm not an expert, but this is how I do it. Just sing the last word normally (but save more breaths), and while you are ringing that ending note, you ramp up the volume/strength. Start squeezing your lungs and chest muscles, holding your cores. Holding/Squeezing your throat, too. Imagine the strength goes from the top back of your neck (behind your ears) to the front neck (where your mustache/chin is). Then you begin transitioning into yelling that ending word.
So, basically two things: Sing the word + Yell the same word.
But you have to practice a few times, slowly. Eventually the transition would be smooth.
For the yell part, you can practice it alone. Imagine you want to call someone from so far away. You have to yell "HEYYY!". Not just say "hey", hold your cores, and then yell louder.
Also, if you are new to screaming/yelling, start slowly and start small. Drink lots of water. Don't practice for hours on the first day. Spread them out. If it hurts, stop and rest. More water. Eventually, you'll get it. Good luck!
