@@carole8142 Yes - that is not possible for many and it is our job to assist them as best we can.
@@carole8142 , I agree that is a MAJOR issue for the homeless. There's NEVER a "good" time to be homeless but a cold winter seems to be the worst. Likewise, a scorching summer heat is also a threat to those who have no home. I'm involved in some organizations that are ATTEMPTING to ease the discomfort of people while they are exposed to the weather. There are so many people in need. Thank you for remembering them.😥

Hello sweet friend Nicolas! Thank you yet again for another calming soothing video. Please do us some soft spoken story time and ASMR vids when you can. I for one would greatly appreciate any video you did for us. As someone who has dealt with severe anxiety and panic disorder since a small girl you have no idea how helpful your videos are to me and how calming your voice is. Being someone who has fought stage 2 triple negative breast cancer this past year and a half your videos has helped me more than you know, especially those days I was so weak and sick from chemotherapy and stuck in the house due to being afraid of exposure to Covid when dealing with a severely weakened immune system,..it was your videos who helps me pass that time and soothed me. Now being in remission for a year now I’m back to dealing with worse anxiety than ever. Having a fear that breast cancer will come back I turn to your videos to help ease my restless mind day and night when I need them most. Thank you again @Nicolas Fairford for the videos you create for us, please keep them coming! Sending so much love to you, your family and our friends here in the comments all the way from the southeast Kentucky mountains 💙

I've been on that journey too. All we can do is try and not thinking about it and try and plan 1 thing to do every day to get out of the house. I find it's helped me enormously and keeps my mind right.
Like you I love Nicholas's voice and its so lovely gentle and soothing and he's helped me through the alone times when I couldn't go out near people incase of covid.
It's not so bad now but still I'm keeping away from crowds this winter to lesson the chance of getting covid pneumonia again. I got it 2 days after finishing treatment.

Glad you added a few festive touches to the table setting. The first edition looked stylish but not especially Christmassy. Here's tip that I do. I have plenty of evergreens in my garden, that I can bring inside to decorate for Christmas. However, there are few red berries. So I pick up sprays of berries at the dollar store and weave them amongst the greenery. With so much natural greens, the red berries look authentic also.
@@Wisdom-Nuggets-Tid-Bits I'd say, that any place that sells faux flowers might have them. But obviously the dollar store is less expensive. Hidden amongst the greenery, the berries don't have to be of superb quality.

I love that your garlands are real leaves and berries. I also think even though your tablescape is nice and earthy and green, I agree with others that adding that christmasy garland with berries makes it look more festive. I love it.

@irene morley for your info: We the subscribers of this channel enjoy the luxurious hotels Nicholas visits, it's a lot cheaper for us to see it this way then booking a trip and we will do what ever we can for it to continue. A tip a friend showed me too keep candle sticks in they're place is to wrap a bit of cling film on the bottom then put it in the holder and then they don't slip or tip when you move them around.

Yes, I started embracing the gray sky and the bare gray trees a few years ago. When I finally have a well insulated house with central heat, and a nicer barn, I'll no longer dread January and February so much. 😊❤️

Nicholas, I believe what your lovely table needs is some balance in the background, think of a theatre play or a ballet the stage has layers of decor and lighting from the back leading up to center stage where the performers are. So how about giving your imagination free reign regarding your background such as your side board and the spaces on either side of it? I should also think about “height” and add something whimsical or traditional to your mirror, perhaps some dried foliage or a garland with pinecones and mistletoe to remain in your masculine theme colours and of course more candles, happy decorating. Happy holidays from Switzerland

Well doesn't look very wintery. All is green😄in my country all is muddy, wet and grey. Hopefully we get some snow soon. Winter doesn't feel like winter without the snow, and all the greyness is so depressing really. Lovely garland, very festive and beautiful 🤗Your tree is also very pretty and cosy.

I know the woodland theme you are going for with your table scape but that striped table cloth reads summer evening. Perhaps a solid plum or garnet cloth may have appeared more festive!
