Restoring A Case 530CK: Brake Replacement

The saga continues and this week we are working on the tractor brakes because I can’t keep using the loader bucket to stop. By some miracle the brakes were never removed but they are very worn down. Here I show how I removed the old brakes and installed new ones.

Hey! I have taken on the same project and bought an old rusty 1966 530ck. Which brake kit did you order? Also what are you spraying on the components at the end? Are the brakes working well for you now? Thanks!

How did the brakes work for you after the replacement? I have heard that even new brakes are pretty sketchy.

They worked fine, they just needed a bit of adjustment. I did not replace the seals for the differential when I did this so if they start leaking onto the pads, I’m sure stopping power goes out the window.
