They try to do too many things at once both inside the house and outside and then they get disheartened and nothing ends up being finished.
Love that Nadia and Dina are taking over an area of the garden but I’ll always refer to it as Mark and Nanny Di’s garden - Mark - stand your ground lol! I went back to the first few GFH’s - omg - the transformation is amazing - so much hard work and time - gorgeous garden
a Mac I think Nanny Di has previously said that corner was too much for her to take on. I think she loves working side by side with Mark. I can’t wait to see the end result of the love island garden

These garden vlogs inspire me to get out and get creative in my garden. I love the garden gnome, he looks so snuggle. I can just imagine the colour of your garden when all these plants/flowers have gone into their homes. Will be so vibrant and look so nice once its all done.

I learned from my mum to put a handful of bonemeal in the hole before the plant
There is a company called festive lights who do the poles for festoon lights which will let you create the effect you want
Nadia please listen to Mark, and take his advice he is the gardener. Both he and Nanny Di have make your garden beautiful and I am sure your garden area will turn out beautifully. The plants you bought are so pretty.

*Mark you need a man hole cover for that drain as you need access to it incase of an emergency you can get them on amazon, then put a large potted plant on it for decoration then when you clean up around it and before puting any stone down why dont you put down heavy duty black polythene sheet which is also on amazon and cut to size you want then place edging stone were you want the path then cover the polythene sheet in stone gravel that way you get no future weeds and do the same on all the flower beds, just soak the beds to loosen dried soil best you can and cut weeds down then apply weed killer to weed roots then put the polythene sheet down or weed control membrane fabric ground cover sheet then cut a a plus sign eg (+)were you want to plant new plants and then when all the plants are in then cover the sheet in fresh top soil or gravel, that way no weeds will keep growing in the beds and everything will look neat and tidy👍🏼*

Agree with the gravel area , but doesn't plastic in gardens kill the nutrients in soil ...not keen on poison either to get rid of weeds just soften with sprinkler and pull out ..lots of plants and mulch...I sometimes just have compost for mulch , where I want plants to self seed ...self seeders cost nothing and look natural where ever they pop up ..Birds will bring weeds ,they are easy to pull out with the root if ground has plenty of compost ...Because you have lots of tree roots everywhere ,you'll need lots of compost to replenish the soil ....the garden keeps getting better each episode, so enjoying GFH..love the new pots and plants ..very exciting ..
I would still.like to know what happened to the hole Mark stuffed with material few weeks ago.Did you find out what it was?

If that manhole needs to be accessed Mark you can get a kit to recess the lid and then put a pot on top.

If you’re looking for paint for things like the hot tub have a look at frenchic paints. Just got some to paint our upvc doors and trimmings outside.
You will need it for the lights, keep the tree

Remember Mark with Cosmoss you need to dead head and they will go mad and reward you with flowers till september i love them and have grown them from seed loads xxxxxxxx
Debra Willis we’ve brought a couple of Cosmoss plants but my daughter has grown 1 from seed it was her only 1 that survived from 3 she was growing yes I’ve dead headed the flowers & got more cum do. They live through the winter ?xx

I really think Nadia and her sister should have left the garden to Mark. The garden is transforming so much and you really are good with the names of plants Mark - I have a Magnolia Stellata in my garden and it's white flowers look beautiful in Spring, the only thing is the flowers only last a couple of weeks , I also have the same weeping tree ( much better than a weeping willow) that Toffee tried to gnaw on , it's quite mature now , but they are really nice when the wind blows and they don't grow out of control
The fern area is going to look great with the fox gloves and they seed easily too

They are both instant gardener's when there's any digging to be done they are no where to be seen, she would go barmy if you started putting stuff in the kitchen and interfere with her cooking.
