Unbelievable how people feel the need to comment on your railings...if you have nothing nice to say, simply say nothing or better yet, mind your own business!!
We love your garden, Linda & I'm beyond grateful for you sharing!! ❤❤❤
Anyone saying anything negative...has problems...
The garden is spectacular ❤
I can’t believe the amounts of people viewing, yet, not give a thumbs up!
I've noticed it's typically 10 percent of people who "like" after viewing videos on most channels.
@@MyFocusVaries Thank you for noticing that! I thought it was just my small channel…
I’ve wondered, if folks are watching on TV, can they still 👍? If not maybe that’s why, it’s the same on every channel I watch. I always 👍 even before watching so I don’t forget. 🇨🇦
@@peggy-ann1961 you can 👍 on TV using the remote
I heart always before I even watch because I know it’s going to be good ❤❤❤
These are my absolute favorite types of videos from you-- just you taking us on a stroll through your garden, making notes about what you're loving at the moment.. It's always wonderful to walk along. Glad you are getting a break from the heat!
Fairytale garden....BEAUTIFUL, Linda!!!
Just gorgeous! Can’t believe that you have it looking so spectacular with this summer heatwave!
Linda, thank you for this walk through your garden. It is truly lovely and inspiring. Stay cool
Your cottage garden is beautiful. I can't believe it's still such a young garden! Kudos to you and your vision for the front and the back. ❤
To me, strolling through a cottage garden provokes the same feeling of peace as listening to beautiful music. Each instrument/plant is lovely on its own, but when combined and well orchestrated, it’s magical and yours certainly hits all the notes. Enjoy your sabbatical!
Going to miss you all! Especially the bantering 😂, you’re all so down to earth. Mostly I really appreciate your frugal tips❤
I would love to know how to propagate begonias. Thanks for all your great information.
The view from the footpath looking up is terrific. Normally you peer into gardens but the garden is peering into you
Hi Linda, I'm in steamy Richmond Virginia. I've been watching you since 2020 and you are my biggest inspiration and teacher. My neighbors are loving my yard but it has a ways to go. The former owner of 40 years was a gardener but it got neglected as she grew older. I've been here 7 yrs now and it's getting a lot of love. - Cheers!
Your cottage garden is spectacular. I truly love it speaking as one cottage garden owner to another 😅
Everything is looking so lovely Linda! Enjoy your well deserved sabbatical - see you in September! ❤🍂
This was a great Wednesday walk about! Everything looks beautiful! Thank you for taking us along.
Cottage Gardens are beautiful chaos.❤
The lushness of your plants and flowers never ceases to amaze me. So beautiful!
All your garden looks simply 'beautiful'. Love the pastel colour of the front, and a little
more daring in the back. Thank you, from Australia.
Beautiful cottage garden… just perfect! Love the pumpkin plant too! Pumpkin pie come Thanksgiving!
Enjoyed the view of the garden today . I will miss your frequent walkabouts !! Have a wonderful and blessed summer break!! Will look forward to September!!
Enjoyed this Wednesday walk about! The length of the video was perfect for a work break. Everything is looking gorgeous.
hope you enjoy your sabbatical and you get what you want from it. love when you do these walk abouts yourself. we see more of the garden and you talk about your plants. Be well Linda!
I’m leaving a 24 year garden, that the purchaser commented on, as a promoter of our property. Now we will start over at a Lake House, with local differences.
I feel now like you did moving, yet wanted the change. A lot of work again ahead.🇨🇦 Southwest Ontario.
Garden abundance.
Your garden is looking beautiful in both the front and the back. It is taking the high temps very well.
Sigh....I can only aspire. Thank you for this treat!
The heat has reached the mountains in Western North Carolina!! We had some rain this morning maybe more later. I will miss you for the next few weeks!! Hurry back!!!
I am enjoying the tour. I must say, I am really going to miss you in August. I do understand your wanting to take time for yourself and your family. Looking forward to September when you come back. My coffee is just not going to taste as good. 😢 Love you and God bless you.❤
Well done Linda, the garden is gorgeous. I look forward to seeing it mature, but amazing growth in such a short time. You’re right it is the essence of an English cottage garden, stay true to your vision. Cheers from Geelong, Australia
To me a cottage garden is controlled chaos at its best! I love everything fighting for its little piece of the pie. When you walk about... I am always so happy that I had gotten your obelisks in the front in the urns urns ,and also a pair of the pineapple finials! The finials are on my old brick fireplace mantle in the garden and look amazing! I just pulled out so much ajuga in my back garden yesterday. It literally covers and consumes my flagstone patio. Love the back steps. as my heart was always on that back stoop at the fairy tale house. It was magical with the patina of the copper dome over the door. I am looking forward to see what you put over this door.
Thank you for your positivity!!
Hi Linda, May I suggest that your beverage/bar station in your family room a small beverage refrigerator for cold drinks. The beverage refrigerators have the smoked glass front, which looks amazing. Looks like the wine coolers. I have one purchased from Best Buy, also sold at Homedepot.
I love the “over planted” look.
I love your garden Linda! I am doing the same, planting densely allows for a sweeping impact and a lot less weeding.
Beautiful! Would love to hear/see your tips for successful begonia propagation.
Thank you for sharing Linda ❤ Beautiful!!
I would love to see some nandina in your backyard!
loved the video, thank you for sharing. your garden is looking beautiful as always.
love your garden walkabouts! i've learned so many plant names and love a trip to the garden centre and can guess the names before looking at the label!
I love seeing a pro assessing their garden and saying oh that will move wrong placement when I feel like such a failure when I make mistakes.
Tips for a 50degree slope. I am thinking steps with plantings in the middle. Steps on both sides. Layering different plantings along the steps on both sides from loriope and extend out from there. Tips please. Agree Scotland gardens are gorgeous.
I always love your Wednesday walkabouts! I am also looking forward to follow your other new channel 😀
I'm a big copy cat, love what you do! By the way, my Cranberry Creeks are doing well here in Florida!
Despite the heat, your garden in looking lovely. Can you share when you sow seeds next year? I would love zinnias, cosmos, and cleome next year.
BTW, I think your lens needs cleaning.
Great job, Linda. Your gardens are beautiful but so much work. I honestly don't know how you have kept up. Enjoy your time to refocus. I look forward to your new channel along with your gardens. Take care of yourself.
It's so pretty and calming.
Your garden is so beautiful! Walk about so peaceful!❤
Linda, why don't u use black and blue salvia? Its so gorgeous...long 4ft blooms airy wonderful! I have alot of the verbena bonariensis too, also chocolate cosmos is amazing ~ smells like chocolate. Also petite jenny! Beautiful perfect pure pink, another airy tall perennial. I love bright orange flowers too so am making it my mission to find tall orange flowers. Its not easy! Orange to contrast all the purple!😊 ive found alot of shorter orange but love the tall flowers!
All I can say is WOW! Gorgeous.
Linda I totally love the cottage Garden and during my last month's garden tour, I explained that I call my garden chaos in the garden because cottage gardens are like chaos plantings where one thing is here and one thing is over there and three things are over here and etc and etc. Which is what I do in my garden I plant sometimes in groups of three but then I like to trial many plants to see how they do in certain areas so only one of this or that... and I have three separate locations. I have an East garden, a West Garden, and a South Garden so I try things out in different places and if they don't perform then I move them somewhere else or I take them out completely. But that's what a cottage garden is, it's bringing the experiential joy of color and texture to your space. And of course we know that planting tightly reduces the weeds that interfere.
Gorgeous !!
Very beautiful! Love the density of the plantings.
Your QVC plant towers have been stellar performers for me, supporting both my peonies and dahlias. I have searched far and wide for something similar after they sold out but have not found anything like them. Please post a link if you know of any similar source. As always, the garden looks spectacular!
Your cottage garden looks lovely. 🥰
The garden looks beautiful,! Enjoy your time off.
Your garden is in full bloom and beautiful thanks for talking the walk about Wednesday with us.
The garden is absolutely stunning! Thank Linda
Your cottage garden is fabulous Linda!!! That is the way they are to grow. The juga is doing so well, mine did well in the long spring in Maryland but the scorching sun is drying some of it. Do you fertilize it? I just clear it out! Cheers
I love your garden and design choices. Enjoy your time off❤
Really enjoyed walkabout today, especially with the views from your eastern sidewalk. Love that perspective which we don’t see enough. Also lower berm in front of
Love the front but your backyard is my favorite 😍
Love it ALL. Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Linda🥰 everything looks wonderful !
Thanks Linda! The backyard is my fav!❤
What a nice treat to stroll through the garden. I don’t know how you manage to keep everything looking so healthy and lush! I think that purple sedum may be the SunSparkler “Firecracker”. I have some in my garden.
I think the east side is my favorite part of your new garden!
Hi, Linda. Thank you for your video. Best wishes to you.❤
Beautiful ❤
Lush, lush, lush! 🌿 🌳 🌿
Love the pumpkin and gourd!
So beautiful!!
Linda, I’m so curious about your concrete basket that Lea kept watering while you were gone.
I love the plants hugging each other in closer quarters
I just increased my monthly subscription membership. I was wondering if you could clarify what it entails. I enjoy your content so very much I am eager to support your channel.
Everything looks fabulous! Can you please identify what the silver/gray delicate foliage plant in the ground by the corner of the garage is? It appeared in this video but I don't think the name was mentioned. Also a while back you had a small cypress (?) tree in a pot on the outdoor dining table but I haven't seen it in the yard anywhere, do you still have it and please identify it also. Thank you!
Beautiful!
Lovely~
Very beautiful 😊
Lovely!
And you speak about the figs... I'm in zone 6B and I have the Dr. Monticello and the Chicago Hardy fig. This is their third year in the ground, and I really don't protect them at all in winter and they come back stronger than ever, so I don't know what I'm doing right.
It sounds like your sabbatical is going to be busier than ever. Please slow down alittle bit!! Enjoy!!
We will be. Here huggicates Linda @
What do you use as a fertilizer ?
What do you do to prevent powdery mildew and other disease on your tall phlox?
I've had big beautiful ones for 15 years and halfway through their growing season they look just terrible. I use neem oil. It doesn't seem to be doing the trick
Hi L, When you come back in September, can you explain how you overwinter the begonias? I know how to get them to root but they get leggy over the long winter. Any tips on how to keep them healthy til spring? Thank you!
I bring mine in and treat them as houseplants. I keep them in sunny windows. They bloom all year.In Spring they get cut back and fertilized, then put back out on my shady steps. I do the same with geraniums.
