Massively. Although i would say it was a tricky situation for Webtoon. If they only had the budget for 12 eps then ending with Daewi vs Mori would of been a bad idea. So i get why they upped the pacing. Fingers crossed if we get a season 2 then they up it to a 24 ep season.

Seems like mappa isnât getting the time or enough episodes to do a lot of animeâs. They had 8 months to do aot, and GOH was severely cut down since they werenât given enough episodes. They need to be treated better

@@doominator-rw2fu I don't think his grandson was really "dead", I think Jaegal's power is to sort of absorb others via his hunger. When pushed to his limits, his control of the ones he has consumed is also weakened, so a strong "soul" can break out of it. Mori pushing Jaegal was enough to let the grandson use his music abilty to control alchemy and change Jaegal's body to stone.. or at least, that's how I understood it :D

For those thinking about the name changes like Jaecheongdaesong-> Seiten Taisei, or Yeoui-> Nyoibo, itâs because God of Highschool is adapted after Havoc in Heaven and Journey to the West, both of which are Chinese legends. All of the original names are Chinese, so Jaecheongdaesong/Seiten Taisei was Qi Tian Da Sheng (éœć€©ć€§ćŁ) and Nyoibo/Yeoui was Ruyi (ćŠæ). So the reason why the names were changed is because both the Korean and the Japanese are direct translations of the Chinese names. I hope this clears up some confusion!

The webtoon creator drew them all, most, of the characters with pink noses but in the anime it looks more red than it should be. As someone that read the webtoon from the start to latest chapters,, it would really have been disappointing if the red nose wasn't there. But i can see how it can bother people

The character of Jaecheondaeseong and his weapons are all from a Chinese Mythology/Book/TV Show named Journey to the west. The original names are: Name of the character: Qi tian da sheng in stead of Jaecheondaeseong although that is just a nick name meaning ' Great sage on par with the heaven' his real name was Sun Wu Kong. Ru Yi Jin Gu Bun instead of Yeoui and a just a mere copy of Ru Yi is roughly 7,960 kg and he could change the size of ru yi the larger it is the heavier and he could shrink it to the size of a pin and put it in his ear, Jin duo Yun in stead of Guendowoon, in the original story he has no magical armor that makes him op af and his gourd bottle was just the English translation for a gourd there was no special name for it.
P.S. in the original story he does pass the last test with his friends and ascend to become a god. Some extra little information, in the original story Sun Wu Kong can change into 72 different things from a dog to a fly following that because he can change into 72 different things he also has 72 different heads/bodies so he can die 72 times before he is truly dead. He erased his name from the life book of the jade emperor so that the Monkey king basically will never die of old age and the fact that he became a god and went to the god realm well that in itself makes him insusceptible to old age.

Also a fact, Wukong was gifted with three hairs. These hairs can transform into anything Wukong needs.
All of the 80,000 hairs on his body are also weapons themselves and can be used to make clones of him.

Not sure on my mythology, but isn't the Monkey King's staff the thing the Creator(s) used to pound the Milky Way flat? Kind of overkill to hit someone in the face with it, but that guy kind of deserves it.
The Monkey King is pretty famous for his brutal overkill. Dudeâs generally easy going, but heâs got a nasty temper when he gets set off.
Just seeing this now but his staff is actually a rod used by the Dragon King to control the Eastern Ocean that he decided he like so he took it and made it his primary weapon. This is how it is in both mythology and the Webtoon as far as I am aware

Say what you want about the plot, I just really love this fight. The camera movement was incredible, props to the director.

That's because of the different language it's still the same just different translation
They actually updated the webtoom translations recently. At least in the US app of webtoon yeoui and geundoowun are different in the first couple of chapters.

The animation is godly and we all know that but can we just talk about the music. Whoever produced this deserves just as much recognition as the animators
In general, yes, the music is bomb, but this scene was mis-scored IMO. Using the same theme as Mori vs Daewi brought the wrong tone to this scene.
the music composer is a new composer who's name isn't recognized at all, so she really made a name for herself here

@@sorcererkiller15007 But this fight was really Mori desperately trying to save his friends and put down the menace that is Taek Jegal. Using the same rousing theme used to cap off a heartwarming rivalry just doesn't feel right.
