  • My daughter returns once again with an awesome thumbnail. Here we get to look at a game where "bad" cards can still provide good value when they fit into your game plan.

    Any card can be good, even that 3 cost card which gives 1 heat is playable (played it once for 2 years!)... that's what i love about the game.

    Well played! I hope in one and the following games you will show us Underground Detonaitons in action! =)

      Very very unlikely, but I do know others have used it in an extreme all in terraforming setup.

    Thank you for all those interesting replay analyses. It's gonna be nice to see the differences between prelude format and normal format when prelude will be available in ranked on bga :)

      Glad you enjoy them. It won't be THAT different except that starts will be more explosive and on average games will take 2 less generations so you'll need to edit your mental math when it comes to production payoff.

      @@ThreadPacifistTM I was also wondering how much science cards will be weaker knowing that games are shorter.

      @@BobFromChat I wouldn't consider them weaker in prelude. AI, mass, and AGT are all very strong. It can be a bit harder to get them online every game as you'll see two less drafts on average but the real strength of the cards is coming down in the early-midgame, so seeing 2 less drafts at the end of the game doesn't affect the overall power level. Also some preludes give sci tags which makes it easier to get the requirements met.

    Do I have to play Arena mode (3p) to go up on ranking? or the normal game also works(2p)?

    • @ThreadPacifistTM

      Either mode will raise your elo as long as it's not "friendly mode". If you want to climb in Arena ranking, then you have to play arena.

    In the gen9 draft you talk a bit about not taking mars u, but i find it way more discussionable you take industrial center? i didn't think you'd press that button even with playing it for free it'll be 3 money to block a spot that he has no plant prod to get anyway, sure credicor can standard some greeneries but is it really gonna matter that you blocked one spot? i guess you take 4 money rebate for yourself and take 4 away, so it's a +1 money swing, basically a worse sabo?

    • @ThreadPacifistTM
      @ThreadPacifistTM  Před měsícem

      Right, it's an 8 cash swing, but it also gives me access to tiles in the north for more cash back and is another tile for landlord. So if I place the greeneries, You can think of it as +8 cash for me and -4 cash for my opponent for 7, which is +5 MC in the 1v1. However, all of that kind of goes out the window when I get mining rights in Gen 10 and can just go to the south for the rebates.

      @@ThreadPacifistTM Ah ok, i was just going to gamble on no noctis city without mining rights, but that just greenery at the top following industrial seems good, gonna remember that
