People hate Apple for many reasons. For one, nothing they've done is original, and their phones are worse in many categories to other phones.

Its def not like the wild west of PC, there are pros and cons to both, for a PHONE? iPhone is wonderful and secure(ish) device, especially in the iphone 3s-5s years. hell i still love the 6, just hear more complaints but idk, I'm not an edgy enough to complain about them for being so profitable. (in b4 Android sells more) yes as MANY different companies, apple is 1 company using 1 OS.

+Nathaniel Beven I agree that the iPhone 4S is still alive and working, 'cause I have one. But compared to modern phones, it's not really the ideal one to have in 2016. I only use it as a backup, and I always put it on airplane mode because battery efficiency with iOS 9 sucks. I'd say prior to iPhone 5, they were the best, and they were kinda monopolizing the smartphone market. But iPhone 5 just launched with other awesome phones, prominently, the Galaxy S3, so they started desperately giving new features and not catering to what people really liked.
And there's this issue that you should not upgrade your previous-model iPhone to iOS 8/9 because it will slow it down to the point where you're forced to buy a 6S because you'd think it's unusable anymore.

Honestly I've had experiences with both... I'm used to an iPhone now but I used to have a handful of Android phones, liked them all, but since I'm so used to Apple now; it seems unnatural to use anything else now. Could just be me though...

My first phone was pretty garbage. It was one of those ones with a slide out keyboard. The screen was a pretty unresponsive touch display. But by far the worst part about it was that it didn't connect to wifi! Yet they decided to put like 5 keys on the keyboard that would launch the Internet to different webpages. But the Internet only worked on data. It was so annoying. But I loved the actual physical keyboard. At the time touch screens on phones were still pretty new. And full qwerty keyboards were becoming increasingly less expensive.

Chewi My first phone that I bought myself was the original LG Rumor, which had a slide-out keyboard. The moment I saw it, I was in love and HAD to get the one in white, no questions about it (though there was a lime green one that was also cool). My second phone I upgraded to was the LG Rumor 2, which worked exactly how you described your phone, a touch screen and slide-out keyboard but no wifi. In my eyes, I hated full touchscreen phones and thought those with physical keyboards were superior. Whoa boy, lol.
I think I was also still trying to do whatever I could to get a bit of the long-past awesomeness of the Sidekick, the phone that flipped the screen when you opened it. I thought that phone was the most amazing thing since sliced bread, but my family definitely couldn't afford it at the time, XD. However...to this day, I actually still have both of my Rumor phones and even used my Rumor 2 in 2015 for a few months as my Galaxy S4 was having some issues.
All IPHONES suck... I've got an outdated Droid Incredible 2 and the latest IPHONE is just now catching up to it!

iPhones are amazing
N-Gage was one of the best smartphones of it's time. It was a full Symbian phone at a fairly cheap price (around 300€). All the games were possible to be put on the same memory card (no copy protection of any kind) so no card switching.
2:00 that phone was ahead of its time.
My worst phone was a nokia n810, only a few days and i got so agitated with the device i literally threw in on the floor and stomped on it... In the bus, where everybody was gawking, the busdriver was too much in awe to kick me out. My iphone 2g got stolen at the time and i was a bit hesitant to buy a new one since it was expensive ofcourse, after that obnoxious nokia n810 i was convinced. Have been an iphone user ever since.
Microsoft had a shitty ass phone back then, and even their latest phone is a piece of shit. Hardly ANY apps or games, like the Xbox One, LMFAO!!!!

Ben Reed Other companies make those phones. The last phones that Microsoft made were the one's shown in this video. They no longer make their own phones, just the OS. And currently, people that like Windows OS on their phone, like the phone in general, its not much different from other ARM based phones.
I'm not hating, I'm a MS guru, its worlds easier than LiNUX, LiNUX in turn is worlds easier than OSX. I don't have anything to hate on, but the fact that a cell phone carrier charged full rate for an internet appliance the size of a cell phone.

The worst phone I ever had was an Alcatel phone (not a smart phone) that had a slide out keyboard. The shittiest stand alone memory of that phone would be the difficulty surrounding changing the volume. You had to navigate through several menus in the settings to simply turn the volume up or down. There were no physical volume buttons.
Pantech Pursuit II. Touch screen works on everything, no lock button, lacks a headphone jack, no way to lock the screen, password failure, bad graphics, hard to text. Need I say more.
I had it for 1 year, then I lost it, So I got a new one, Then we found it, Now I'm going to get an iPhone.

Worst phone I've ever used is the 2012 Samsung Dart. Had less power than a Nintendo DS, and with only 16MB system memory for apps, it is undeniably the worst phone I've had the misfortune of using.
My upgrade was a 2013 16GB iPhone 5C. Perks this phone brought were the 16GB storage, near-HD retina resolution, 10-hour battery life, current-generation OS (with continuing support) and compatibility with the Apple Watch I just got recently, and more power than a Nintendo Wii. The only downside to an iPhone versus any budget phone is lack of a micro-SD slot. I personally would prefer to have all my music on the card, not the internal storage.

Most of the shortcomings of the N-Gage was rectified in the N-Gage QD (which was actually shown in this video). The QD featured hot-swap game cards, and the speakers were faced the right way and was a very cool phone. I really enjoyed the QD
going from a current video of yours to this is very weird from the table where you build the ultimate consoles to just seeing your face and background instead of all the other camera angles but still a great quality video

in 2007 I had the Samsung Juke, a tiny Verizon-only phone that pivoted open like a jackknife to reveal the buttons. In general it was really nice and the battery lasted like 8 days on a charge. It was also a 2 GB mp3 player. Unfortunately, you had to buy the mp3s from Verizon to get them on the phone and they never had songs from the artists I listen to. I bought it thinking I could just transfer any mp3 from my computer, but it wouldn't let me. The phone always pivoted open in my pocket, too.

You were holding an N-Gage QD which fixed both of the problems you mentioned about the original N-Gage. It has a game card slot at the top (or the bottom), allowing you to swap out games on the fly and can be held like a normal phone during a call. But unfortunately, thanks to the shambolic piece of hardware that was the original N-Gage, the damage was already done.

I can't say a lot bad things about other Android phones, like HTC One M8, One Touch One or a lot of other Android phones, but S5 is pretty shitty.. it's not as expensive as an iPhone, but it sure is too expensive for a phone that starts lagging after a while and is built out of cheap plastic

Nye Covington The glass is as good as any glass on any other high end phone, it's scratch resistant, but not drop resistant ofcourse, so that argument makes no sense.. it also has sapphire glass on the home button and the camera.. and I don't see how they break too easily, they break just as any smartphone, and also, there are protection cases, so you solve everything with that.. even the bending issue on iphone 6+

My brother had one of those Ken phones, he actually really liked it, but the reason he didn't have it very long is that it had some reliability issue, and he had 2-3 of them in that short time they were out, all just up and died on him and were replaced by Verizon. The last one he had got replace by something else, as you couldn't get them anymore.

In the final days of the KIN, Verizon dropped the data requirement making it a great alternative for a basic phone. Having email and web browser through wifi was an amazing value, not to mention the added bonus of the under-rated Zune as a media player. It was not an amazing phone, however i'm not sure it earns such a high ranking here..

when I was 5 my dad had a phone that was like a smartphone but not touchscreen....there was a pullout keyboard+navigator like.....i thought it was pretty cool but that was the time when everyone had a flip phone or te easy phones
I actually worked in online webchat at Verizon when the Kin2 was out, which your thumbnail made me click this video. People wanted an easy phone for their kids yet with a few minimal smartphone specs and that was the closest thing Verizon had at the time. The phone sucked and I hated recommending it to them. I was pretty relieved when I moved to the customer service half of the company instead of sales so I wouldn't have to feel bad for recommending crappy phones just to get a sale.
The game slot on the N-Gage was under the battery, so you had to shut it off and disassemble every time you wanted to switch games. The only way they could have made it more inconvenient is if they required you to use a screwdriver...

I had the Blackberry Storm on At&t and my wifi worked great. Even browsing without wifi was fast. My only issue was texting on the touch screen wasn't easy. But if you slid the phone open, the keyboard underneath made typing really quick.
The Motorola Razr (1st gen). I was a phone tech and those were basically the worst phones ever. They broke just by looking at them and had to be replaced almost every time someone came in with them. These days there aren't really any more Phone techs, but if you find any of us out in the wild...man do we have stories.
iPhones are the best phones you can possibly get on the market. They work beautifully and they are just plain awesome. I never will regret buying one. :)

DUDE! I totally had a Ken! And yeah, the interface just screamed, "Hey youths! Look how hip and with-it we are! Texting!" I got it because it was the only phone at the time that could access the internet without a data plan. (Although the video said it required one. I think some of them did.) I finally gave mine up when the screen spontaneously died at Universal Orlando after just owning it for 3 months.

My worst phone ever was the Metro PCS Samsung Code, which would keep disconnecting from the Internet, requiring a reboot to reconnect. It also lacked the basic ability to keep an app running in the background, which was inconvenient for AIM users.

The Samsung Instinct was probably the worst phone I have ever owned. It was right before the popular multi-touch smartphones were coming into play. The phones screen was soo poor to touch and even to look at. Typing was the biggest hastle and the phones software was a huge annoyance. This is why I took that phone in after 2 weeks and replaced it with a Blackberry curve. One of my favorite nonAndroid phones ever.

The Motorola Q. The concept was so amazing (Windows on a phone?!), I bought it the day it came out. But the device was too underpowered. None of its advertised capabilities really worked because the hardware could not satisfy OS and app demand. Then they kept on having black screens of death. I think Verizon replaced my Q like 5 times under warranty before finally asking me if I'd just like a different phone.

6. IPhone 4 (the battery doesn't even last, screen breaks too easily, overheats quickly and do I need to go on.)
5. Samsung Galaxy Ace (utterly fucking useless. The memory is so small you can only install a few apps then it starts crashing because of how much memory youve used up. Uninstall the apps and you won't lose used up memory. That's what pissed me off the most. )
4. Samsung galaxy s4 (don't get me wrong, I love this phone, but drop it once and it becomes a complete piece of crap.)

I had nokia asha something and I really liked it. It's not for everyone, but the games were my favorite part about it. Let me explain:
Every week there was about 20 new games and I could download them all. Then I would play all of them and keep 0-3 of them, because there were A LOT of bad games but few good ones. And I like that there's touchscreen and a keyboard. :)

I owned a Moto G3 for all but four days, then promptly returned it. The thing kept freezing and required a hard reboot several times a day. This goes to show that editor reviews have about as much weight as a feather.

If you think about it, iPhones are overpriced but iOS is simple to use, and has some great features. Yeah, I'm pretty sure iPhones can stay off the list.
My dad loved all of his blackberry's but he never had the storm. His favorite one was one of the ones that had the keyboard. Then he was forced to upgrade to a iPhone.

Austin Evans That's a QD! 😅 And a QD didn't need to be held sideways to talk... A QD didn't need to have the battery removed to change games. And the QD definitely sold a lot more than the N-Gage ever did.
But demonstration purposes aside, the N-Gage did suck pretty bad... QD tried to correct those errors, but even that was a failure given the fact that Sony had just launched the PSP after the N-Gage and the handheld could handle anything you threw at it and not just Rayman or Bounce 3D. Coupled with the fact that Nintendo came out with their DS just a year after the N-Gage, Nokia was in no position to win over customers from Nintendo especially considering the fact they were targeting Nintendo Gameboy owners at the time of release.
All that aside though, I believe that the N-Gage was a significant contribution to the mobile world, because it was one of the first devices to introduce the concept of serious gaming on a mobile device and one of the first phones that took gaming landscape. That it was powered by Symbian S60v2, a partially open and powerful platform at the time gave way to the N-Gage platform 4 years later on their N series range of phones which took mobile gaming to a whole new level.
Without the N-Gage or the N-Gage QD, mobile gaming could have taken a serious turn for the worse. The introduction of the iPhone and the iPod Touch four years after this device marked the next generation in mobile gaming and perhaps one of the best mobile gaming platforms the world has ever seen. Although I'm a huge fan of Android and I develop apps for it, I'd say Android is still miles off when it comes to quality gaming when compared with the iOS platform.
To wrap it all up, Nokia started a revolution with its N-Gage device and despite its shortcomings and flaws, it set a benchmark in mobile gaming that took 4 years to better.
Well done Nokia. If only you hadn't signed that deal with Microsoft and abandoned all your Symbian S60v5, S^3 Anna and Belle users, you would have perhaps been somewhere else today and would have still remained a key player in the industry.

Amogh Harish Orginal N-Gage had something that kept me from buying a QD. Native 44 KHz mp3/aac support. And swapping memory card wasn't such a big issue, since it had a usb port on the side, QD didn't. 2-4 gb MMC was enough for everything, music, games, other software etc. As far as I know, only original N-Gage could be overclocked to 140 MHz from 100.
Stille94 True true. Quite true. I went back to my old QD a couple of days ago, and my GOD! No MP3 support, a 2.5mm "Nokia" earphone slot, a MMC slot that had raked up dust after all these years and quite honestly, a subpar kaypad when compared to the original N-Gage.
I bought the original N-Gage just to get an experience, and my God! It was such an improvement! Even if I certainly looked like a clot while I was taking a call, people would come up to me and ask me what phone I was using...

I'd say the worst phone I've ever had was the Optimus S... I literally only bought it for the non-capacitive buttons. It was scary, too. I had it freeze completely, so I tried to force-shut down but it didn't respond. I took out the battery and the screen stayed on for a good 30 seconds after. After a while I switched to an iPhone 4, then 4s and haven't had a "bad" phone since.
I’ve sadly owned two of these phones. I bought the Microsoft Kin Two M right on the downfall with Verizon back in probably 2011? It was offered without a data plan, for only $20. I thought it was a steal while getting an upgrade. 8mp camera, a Zune pretty much built in, and a pretty good battery life. For the most part, it made a pretty good non smart phone. Until it decided to stop working and I ripped it in half out of anger. The Blackberry was next after when I bought it off of a friend for $30. Absolutely awful. The design to actually press down got very annoying right away.
The last android i had was, was the original HTC Evo 4G and i loved that phone. sadly i downgraded to an iPhone 4 after that... thanks obama.

I got a Kin One M- the M's had a redesigned OS and would have been actually quite nice if it worked how it was designed- calendar was available, excellent camera even by today's standards for phones, ability to check email, wifi connectivity but no in browser video support, nice music playback and ability to listen to the radio, no ability to download extra programs even though messaging and other programs were called apps. The phone was a mixed bag.
+Austin Evans Even though they included 2 batteries doesn't mean that the phone's battery is terrible, maybe they want to give the consumers a spare battery if the battery is broken or they are going for a vacation.

BlackBerry Storm, used it for 30 minutes before returning it. The second worst phone I had was the iPhone 3Gs the 32Gb version; it was my first experience using an Apple product and it was also the last after it stopped working with only one and a half years of regular use. Right now I'm watching this video on my Samsung galaxy s7 edge. It might not be the best and it is already a year old but it does meet my standard as a useful device.
