the playstation beats that flip camera. Sony and Nintendo was making a playstation console together. But then, without telling Sony, Nintendo discontinued the product just before it was announced. Sony actually wen't on stage, giving a presentation of a product that was already discontinued, something they where only informed of after they held the keynote. Thusly, this product lasted negative a few days compared to the announcement press-conference. (fun fact: Sony had no intention of ever making a console on their own, but when they where approached by Nintendo they agreed to do it. However, after Nintendo screwed them over so badly, they made the PS1 on their own, out of spite)

It's not the fastest discontinued product but it's one of the most failed, and that's iOS 6 default maps app.
How about the longest lasting tech product? I'm doing research on the Bose Acoustic Wave Music System for an upcoming video and they have done very little changes to the product since 1984. Even then it only has made a small blip on their usage stats. It amounts to maybe 3 minutes a month more per active account on average. So people on average use Google+ about 7 minutes a month now. Which is almost a doubling, but double nothing is still nothing...
Keep in mind that for other social networks, 7 minutes is terrible. On Facebook the average user spends 400+ minutes a month using the site. Twitter and Pinterest are also in the multiple 100's of minutes a month.
Also... do they distinguish between posting on video comments versus posting on Google Plus itself? I doubt it. So the average user's usage probably hasn't changed at all.
The only reason why Google Plus is still functioning is that Google throws huge amounts of money and resources at it.

Another tech stillborn product was the Sony Elcaset in 1976, which was to replace the popular compact cassette, developed by Phillips and Sony.
The Elcaset was to use 1/4 inch tape, have twice the speed, and have direct drive - all for better sound reproduction for audiophiles.
I even saw a full page ad for it.
It would have required all new player/recorder machines, also.
But the product never appeared.
But in 1982 Sony and Phillips announced the Compact Disk, which we still have with us today (though fading).
Now that is a format I truly forgot about, but yes I do remember it. Metal tape, and later Dolby C noise reduction (along with Dolby S and dbx) vastly improved the performance of the Philips Compact Cassette. The frequency response went past 20Khz with a very low noise floor on a truly good 3 head deck. However reel to reel still had cleaner audio.

Derek Price Apple Products are notorious for their quality, build, and user friendly interface. I can say that yes some of the things that apple releases are "junk" or "trash" but there is a lot of great things that apple has released that has changed technology over time. For example apple was the first the introduce x64 bit processing to a mobile platform. Im pretty sure that samsung would have never had the balls to do that? I mean look at them now, they are copying the design of the iPhone including the "bendgate". So its pretty evident they are followers. Point is every damn company has its drawbacks when it comes to products and its really just a race to see who can make the best of a type of device.

Windows Vista... IMO, it wasn't half as bad as Windows 8 is. Especially on good hardware. Most of the problems like the UAC pop-ups can be fixed with third-party software, extended support for Vista is still active, and copies can usually be picked up for bargain prices.

The HP Touchpad along with the Palm Pre and the paring tech was awesome, even after installing Android on the Touchpad, miss that thing. Haven't had another tablet as cool as that.

There was a time where the Zune was a better product than the iPod. Problem was that Microsoft absolutely sucked at marketing their products.
To this day they make really stupid mistakes. Their products have bugs, or lack obvious features, or their pricing is just way off. Basically someone needs to start firing people at Microsoft.

The Virtual Boy was bad, but it did let Nintendo do some important experimenting that eventually led to the 3DS. Maybe we'll eventually get some VB games on the 3DS.

I bought a G4 Cube a couple of years after its discontinuation, although I didn’t use it much. It's still in my living room (nonfunctional), and I think the concept was great. In some ways, Apple later refined and repositioned the idea in the form of the Mac mini.

I had the Kin after they cut the required data plan. Honestly I loved the keyboard and music player. Probably the best "dumb phone" other than my enV.
i had one too and i agree do you feel as i do that it should be a law to have a physical keyboard touchscreen KBs if you are one damn pixel off its the wrong letter hell i use my s pen (note 9) EVERY time i have to type for that reason

What has Google+ done to your channel? I have multiple accounts some 4+ years old. GOOGLE added Google+ INTERGRATION. This is not on the Google+ side. It is the Google/CZcams team that change it. Not Google+ You are just forced to have a Google+ account now.
