    I mean, one of their marketing campaigns featured some really weird stuff, like men wearing helmets and wielding chains around, in tank tops to show their biceps. They were trying to associate the brand with ruggedness and I guess manliness? But got backlash for promoting violence and dangerous riding.
    Their snow helmets have really bad issues - the muffle on the RG-D1x is prone to snap and stab you in the cheek or eye.

    I’m my option - they are style over function and like you say people buying them for the looks and not safety.
    The one that for sale with the Harmon speakers all I’d say is - how much for the comms kit??? If the comms cost £300 then you have a £70 helmet. If the price was £370 all in (I haven’t looked for the actual price).
    I’d recommend buying a proper brand and stay alive.

    They have them at BikeStop I believe, but they just look ridiculous, way too big. The Arai RX-7V Evo, now that’s a cool helmet 😉

      All I’ll say is do your research and if you can try the helmet on before you buy it… do it!

    ok I have to ask, I'm 42 and a harley rider so slow heavy bike, in the US. As an MT10 owner do you think I'm possibly too old to be on something like this? I'm really tired of the big bagger lifestyle and my shoulders/back can't handle a sport bike riding position. I literally just ride day trips and maybe 1 overnight here or there with buddies. Trying to not buy another cruiser and get something different, but worried this just isn't a "me" bike and I'll look like an idiot trying to casually ride and tour with it. I'm not a racer/track rider at all.

      You’re definitely not too old, I ride with a couple of guys who are also in their 60’s, both on supernakeds. I’m interested why an MT10 is on your radar? The MT10 is a brutal bike, likes to wheelie, sounds aggressive but it is very capable and can be used for long trips etc. have you thought of bikes like the BMWXR1000 or a Ducati Multistrada? Both powerful bikes and so comfy.

      @@BikeLikeMike92 Thanks for the response. I've loved the MT-07 for a few years just from the sound of it, however the wife and I just went this past weekend to the dealership and I sat on one. It was a bit cramped for my height at 6'4. they had a 10 as well and when i sat on it it felt really good and weighed next to nothing (I'm used to 1000lb baggers so I saw that based on my experience). Something about the naked bike feels fun but not too aggressive. I have not looked at those bikes you mentioned but will. we don't have a ducati dealer anywhere near me however bmw car dealer in town, not sure if they do bikes also.

      The mt10 isn’t the best for the pillion (according to my GF), she says her feet are too high and seat is small. It can work, but there are probably better alternatives if you take the wife with you regularly. I’d defo suggest taking a few different bikes for a test ride. Visit the main dealers of big brands and tell them what you want, see what their bike is like and move on. Will help you draw a picture in your mind of which brand suits what you want. Then you can weigh up your options after. It’s also a lot of fun riding random bikes about!

    I have one and the wind noise is terrible. Looks really good but the quality is just rubbish. Already planning my next helmet, the new Alpinestars R10 carbon.

      Sounds like a good plan! Nice helmets the Alpinestars!

    • @Hailon

      Decided after todays ride the Ruroc is getting binned off. The wind noise is awful, really bloody awful.
      Alpinestars R10 here we come.
      Another rider made a good point, you never see them on the track. Why?? Cos they suck...

    • @Hailon
      @Hailon Před 2 měsíci

      So thought you may like an update... i went ahead and brought the new Alpinestars Supertech R10, and the difference is night and day. Wind noise is significantly reduced, no more wobble or snatch when looking over your shoulder.
      And being able to walk into a shop and try it on before you buy it makes a huge difference.
      Also nice the helmet is in proportion, unlike the Ruroc which has a huge shell size and makes me look stupid.
      The styling of the Ruroc is all it has going for it, everything else about it sucks. Real world comment!!!!

    I got a Ruroc and it's shit.. Wind noise is unreal and the fit is shit too. Soon moved on to my Scorpion Exo r1. Much better.

      😂 good move 👍🏼 it’s a shame people have to buy a Ruroc in order to know what one is like rather than being able to try them on before they buy them.

    Got a Ruroc. Nice looking, but not functional really. Also after some use, the visor has scuffed up the top of the helmet. Also.. a very noisy helmet. I wouldn't get another one. And as u say, they are over sized looking. I have the Gold and Black Carbon one. £500 odd pound. Wore it once or twice last year, looks good, thats about it. Not functional.

      Interesting! Good to hear from someone who has got one. I have heard of their quality issues to be honest. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼

      @@BikeLikeMike92Don't rate the sound system in it either, very quiet. Loving the bike, I've just got myself a 23 MT10. Hence came across your channel. New follower. 👍

      Agree big time with the noise, I've got a cheap Ls2 lid that was 60 quid and is far quieter than the ruroc I've got.
      The visor is also a pig to open and noticed its scuffing the side from all the opening and closing.
      Another thing, is that I'm a Large with helmets and as Ruroc have this stupid M/L or L/XL I couldn't decide and went L/XL, so I genuinely can't tell if it's fitting me properly, it's tight to get on but wiggles a little bit on the head. I bought into the fad of it all but regret it now, currently eyeing up a Bell Racestar DLX or a Scorpion R1 Air.

    @richrides9 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Personally they make me cringe. I think they’re cheap crap and if you have one, you’re just not interested in your own safety, or bikes for that matter. People think they look cool, so they buy them to look cool. I think they look crap 😂
