@@Invidente7 From what I remember gameplay wise it wasn't too bad saying that you mainly flew around as Nights as mostly flew around completely certain objectives like playing a song or going through hoops. The only downside I clearly remembered was the sensitivity of flying up or down as they can be slightly sparatic (which makes doing loops harder). Another thing to note as I don't know how much it costs now is that in order to fully complete the game you have to beat both sides of the story, which can make certain moments repetitive (certain levels and bosses are exclusive to each character).
I forgot how hard the soundtrack slams, especially the boss fights. I mean, they really ＧＲＯＯＶＩＮ＇down in the nightmare world.
real shit. queen bella's theme in particular is an absolute BOP... the rhythm and guitar are enough but the funky sax is almost overkill at that point

I feel like NiGHTS inspired so many of Sega's titles from the characters to the music to the story. Really hope that NiGHTS gets more love in the future

Things have been pretty rough for Sega. About the only things that have gotten back into the limelight are Bayonetta, Valkyria Chronicles, and the now widely-popular Yakuza series.
Yes, I believe NiGHTS is the main source for the creation of Chaos and Black Doom from Sonic series.
They sort of did with Balan wonderworld but it performed so poorly that it became the worst game of the year it was released.

The bosses aesthetics reminds me of Dark Gaia monsters, i wouldn't be surprised if they're indeed took inspiration from the NiGHTS series.

Dark Gaia spawn feel like a mix of the nightmaren aesthetic and the concept of the Heartless from KH.

This brings back memories. This was a wonderful game, despite the old graphics. I made it through Helen’s playthrough, but never made it through Will’s play through. It’s great to see the game once more.
Strange, mine was vice versa. Made it too the witch cat lady and got annoyed, put it down then the disk broke.
LittleBigB i agree the witch lady was so damn hard when I was a kid! I would spend hours trying to beat it but it just never worked lol maybe as an adult now I would beat it? Lol 😂
Witch lady with the girl was irritating at first but made sense after a couple tries. I couldn’t do Will’s section where you have to save all the children getting sucked into the sky, and you can only miss 5 or something like that.

An extremely visually interesting game. Gives off early 2000’s arcade game vibes despite being a wii exclusive.

Journey of Dreams easily has one of the best boss battle themes in all gaming. Too bad this game is so obscure.

This is a game about score attack, so of course, they are supposed to be easy and fast to defeat so you can get a higher scores this way (Well, except for Bomamba... that boss just doesn't make sense in a game like this)
Zero Todona if you use the wii remote on its own, I used the nunchuck and the controls were fine. ( at least for me )
They are more difficult than Balam's.

Balan Wonderworld is a terrible game.
So I think these bosses are based off fears.
Girania: thalassophobia/aquaphobia
Bomamba: Ailurophobia/Wiccophobia
Queen Bella: Arachnophobia
Donbalon: Coulrophobia/Claustrophobia (if you get where I'm coming from)
Chamelan: Rhabdophobia (fear of magic)/xenophobia
Cerberus: thanatophobia/cynophobia
Reala and Wizeman are...um, they've got to be based off something, right?

Oh dear god, this part of the video reminded me of a *part* where you had to save these "Nightopians" in a certain level. It was my most hated part of the game back when I played this for the 1st time. Otherwise I liked playing this game.
Are you talking about the 3rd level in the first world of Will's playthrough? If so, then yeah. I kept failing that level over and over, I eventually got through but that level is the bane of my existence.
These bosses don’t seem particularly difficult. Though I suppose I haven’t played so I wouldn’t know.
Like many Bosses, they're only hard when you have no idea what to do... once you figure it out, it's easy to cake them.
Most of them are, though Bomamba (cat witch) is a pain, even if you do know what you're doing.
And I had a hard time figuring out how to beat Chamelan (chameleon wizard) the first time around.
This is game about score attack, you fight those bosses after making a good sccore at the levels and if you beat them fast enough, you might double your score, so of course, they must be easy to defeat, the challenge is at beating them fast, well, with the exception of Bomamba, I don't know what SEGA was thinking when they designed her.
It's a bit difficult because the controls are fucking weird
Man I miss NiGHTS.. I remember one time I managed to beat Queen Bella in like..5 seconds. It's possible, just have to aim the first silk ball just right. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was aiming, but luck was on my side I suppose!

The design of the bosses are so good. You can see so much effort went into them, and the music is great too
the beginning theme to wiseman's theme reminds me of mephilis the dark's theme from 06

Funny how Wizeman is the god and creator of all nightmarens and Cerberus is feared by all of the nightmarens, yet, their fights are the easiest fights in the game.
Meanwhile, A Cat Gruntilda is by far the worst.

I don't think I could be any more confused about what's going on than I have been now.
Short explanation: NiGHTS, the purple jester creature is a nightmare who was created by the nightmare kingdom to do evil, but he decided to go against it, and now he is trying to stop the nightmare kingdom from taking over the dream world and stealing humans dream energy (the glowing spheres).

Dang, the music in this game is really kicking for these bosses.
This game has some phenomenal music, there are also many simplistic missions which have some badass music, such as "Crystal choir - Jewel Fever" and "Wandering Wildness - Bomb Panic".
If these are nightmare then it stands to reason that they would be based on fears.

Bomamba: Fear of the supernatural.
Queen Bella; Fear of spiders.
Donbalon: Fear of clowns.
Chamelan: Fear of deception.

As a kid who was a diehard fan of the original's legacy, I had a hate love relationship with this game's bosses. They were interesting in design, but went overboard in terms of detail when compared to the simplicity of the original marens. Maybe that's just a personal gripe, but that always bothered me as a fan.
omg same here, I mean, in the first game we had a giant blue Piranha, ok, but then in this game we got a giant fish with a knight armor and a french mustache? Like... they don't look like they are from the same game series at all...
Agreed I wish they didn't change the art style so bad, I love the designs from the first game, same thing goes for the kids, Will has to many colors compared to Elliot and Claris.

Not too much, since the timer is mostly pretty generous. It's only really difficult when you try to A rank every level
Like another person said here, the main goal of this game is to make high score, it's basically an Arcade Game, so yeah, the timer makes the game more difficult when you're trying to do that.
