Keep up the great work! Have you noticed less gas in the face shooting suppressed with the bootleg BCG? I wasn’t sure how well the gas sting would be mitigated by managing the gas that far rearward.
Honestly after changing out my charging handle, buffer weight and grabbing the Bootleg I don’t notice any gas in the face. Really the only time I noticed it was when I put my suppressor on pretty much my stock MK 18

Went with Adjustable Gas Block with my DDMK18 Upper. Waiting for my Sandman to get out of FFL Jail to see if I need to make any Adjustment with that Can. I do like that idea of Unity Riser since I am fortunate enough to have PVS14s. I will look and see if they have a longer version of that riser so I can put a magnifier behind the EOTech during the Day.
My mk18 setup is nearly identical to yours. Where the handstop is in relation to the pressure pad and everything. Need to get the light bar though, ace looking rifle bro.

What happened to the lower? It looks like you have a Knight's trigger guard but there is something wonky going on with the ears on the lower. Is that a repair from a mishap during install?
Try wrapping your grip with black medical tape. You can get the width of the grip just right for your hands, I've done it with my G23 and all my AR's 👍
Right on! I would recommend BCM, Aero precision or even a PSA. This was my first AR and I think you can get it Much cheaper and still train and determine what's important to you. DD's IMO or really expensive for what you get. If I could do it all over again, I would have purchased a cheaper AR and trained with it.
Nice rig! I’m still trying to decide should I go through with the sbr tax or not with my mk18. You think the tax is worth it? I wish magpul pro sights pop up like the plastic ones lol. I wanted them but when I found out that they didn’t do that, I went with some classic lmt irons.
Honestly idk if it’s worth it. It’s extra money going to a stupid simple modification. I think the pistol braces work fine. But the actual stock feels much nicer and looks better as well. The length of pull on your weapon will feel a lot better as well.
Quick question man, since you SBR’d the MK18, did you engrave inside the mag well? I’m currently in the process for my SBR and I’m thinking where to get it engraved so that it isn’t noticeable
Ran 100 rounds through mine. Even with the Surefire mini it's a blaster. Had 10-15 failure to resets on the drop in Timney. Pulling it and doing a Geissele.

I know I’m pretty late but I just wanted to say that I’m a big fan of Radian charging handles myself but I’ve found that PRi’s M84 Gas Buster charging handle is freakin legit when it comes to gas blow back mitigation

Personally i think adjustable gas block is more superior than adjustable bcg, because limiting gas block is cleaner than pushing all that gas back to the bcg and let bcg getting rid of the extra gas

I would say about 400 rounds. it definitely helps with gas blowback. I need to test more on which setting I prefer. If you run the BCG on full suppressed and take off the suppressor the gun doesn't run. I would like to run a healthy balance where the gun will run suppressed and unsuppressed on the same setting.
Look at all the upgrades people have to do to the Mark18, everyone who owns one buys a new trigger, iron sights, charging handles, QD mount, stock and sometimes a new bolt. I know, I too have one and for what we paid the gun should not need all these upgrades, not to mention mine had a few tool marks. I just bought a LWRC IC and honestly, its perfect, stock trigger is 4lb, has nice metal sights, ambi controls and short selector levers. I am not a spokes person for LWRC, I just wish someone would have told me to look at both before buying.
If I would do it all over again, I would have just bought a 10.3-inch barrel and assembled the gun exactly how I wanted it. With the RIS II rail. But you live and you learn. I would love to try and LWRC Thank you for your comment.
You can buy just the stripped upper and use whatever lower you want. Won’t fix the over gas issue but it fixes the issues with factory furniture and triggers.
I got a sandman in jail.. probably will be sitting on a build similar to yours .Do you honestly see a difference with the .223/556 end cap? Flash and db?
Absolutely I can not see/hear a difference. Although I’ve yet to shoot it under camera in low light with both caps to see if there is a significant flash reduction. Which would be ideal to give you a better opinion. Although I just love the way it looks. And you already know looking cool is half the battle. 😂
It’s hard to say. The gun cost me 1700 without anything. Then you got sights, optic, suppressor and some of the small things I put on. So over 3000 is my guess. It took me awhile to get to this point. I’ve had the gun for about 4 years.

@@OEDArms Yah they dont play nice with all uppers. Took them off my LMT even after shaving down the rear. They cause the bolt catch to high-ride and rub against the bolt causing a failure to feed. Nice build regardless 🤘 Love the UNITY I run the same and have my NV / Thermal rig on order

Unity doesn't. But their are some other brands out there that do. Unity does sell a new mount for the Magnifier, but its expensive.

Send it to capitol armory and have them do it on the underside of the trigger guard

it's hard for me to say because I've only used Milspec and Radian. Although the Radian I have is a very minimal difference.

Honestly I don’t run it much. I thought about getting rid of it. Although now that I put the unity riser on I need one for the magnifier as well.
