- Today was the first day of my married life and I had a great day with the family. Sneaky date night tonight, we unfortunately can’t go away on a honeymoon as I have chemo and have to be close to care but do have a hotel for a few days. Thank you everyone for the support and love.

Jaelle Kaylor You are so SPOT ON, hun! I actually use to collect porcelain dolls, as a lil girl, and one of my absolute favorites was a doll w/ very fair skin & gorgeous red/amber hair! I'm pretty sure the reason I loved it so much is because her doll name was "Erin", which is mine, as well! (And, if you look up the name Erin, it actually derives from the word/country meaning 'Ireland'. Which is probably why her hair was red, & had the fair skin.) I really hope this made sense, as it sounded a lot clearer in my head! Haha! I think my favorite part, of this vlog, was seeing Dan helping Becca down the hill. It was so obvious that he just wanted to protect her, by keeping her from falling. (which shows what a REAL MAN does, no matter what his situation is.) He has such an amazing heart, and actually reminds me a lot of my fiancé! Even after being together 8 years, he STILL makes me laugh every single day, and then holds my hand while we're watching TV or walking around a mall/store. I can totally envision Dan being the same way, which is so great for Becca! I know that they'll both be cherishing every single moment they have together, I just wish they'd have more time. But, honestly, I'd rather have ONE DAY of TRUE LOVE, w/ my fiancé, than a lifetime w/ someone who WASN'T my soul mate. (And, btw, I bet you'd look beautiful, no matter what color hair you have! So I just found out the news. After watching the video family recently put out, I thought I'd go back and watch Dan when he was still doing relatively well. It's truly heartbreaking to see how happy he was with all the new and exciting developments going on in his life, knowing that the end wasn't very far off. It's bittersweet to watch him having so much fun now knowing that just a short time later he is no longer here. But his outlook was simply awe-inspiring.
I love that he and Becca mentioned the "the sun is shining, the tank is clean" bit from Finding Nemo. I actually quoted that specific part a few hours ago, well before I found out the news, but hearing them both have a laugh over the same thing I laughed at made me smile and made everything seem a little more human, a little more real, if that makes sense. It made me happier knowing that Dan didn't simply roll over and let his cancer consume him. He fought it by living his best life to the bitter end, and that is admirable, to say the very least.

I think that's a lovely gesture and wonder what dans thoughts on a charity are, does anyone know has he ever mentioned anything before about any cancer charity's he thinks are the best ones to support. Also about cancer research being a scam I'm going to read that because I've donated before to them especially after seeing there recent adverts about the little boy who was having chemo in Southampton hospital and then was filmed playing in the school playground looking really healthy. That's advert definately makes you want to support them. Also a school friend of mine who died after 11 years of fighting and 3 times of having lukemia he died about 20/21 and at his funeral we were all asked instead of flowers to donate to cancer research, so I know a lot of people support them but I will click the link to find out what your saying.
elleinad x to say that charity is not a good thing is often an excuse not to give. The hardest friends I have say 70% are in the wrong hands. If that's it, it's fucked up. However, still 30% more for the right purpose than they give. Possibly naive but still choosing to have some faith in humanity.

At 40 I have found that my depression has become .........well shits been bad in my head and its hard sometimes to hide from my kids when I just start crying. I have been taking medication for some time now but its really not working yet . I just want you to know that so many people watch your video's and are inspired by the strength and courage that you show. Not to be creepy but I watch one of your vid's every time I get really low because you inspire me. So again from my heart thank you and I wish for you and your wife years of happiness and memories.

My dad had terminal pancreatic cancer. He went to work normally and came home one Friday , checked into the hospital and died on his day off. My mom gave him injections so he could go to work. He wanted to make sure he was working so we would get life insurance from his job.
Hi guys! First off CONGRATS. Dan I must tell you how invested I am in your life and all you must face. You inspire me. I feel as though I know you and I become very emotional at times. Life seems so unfair, but finding ppl like you who carry on with a smile, and enjoy every moment tells me volumes about who you are. You are an amazing person and your loved by so many, including myself. Keep up the fight.

This guy changed the world. What a magnificent gift of positivity and determination he had.
