      Yoooooo for real. At the beginning of my journey I assumed because I am darker that my hair would be kinkier but I'm a type 3 girl. I know better now but it crazy that people still associate skin tone with hair type. That's just ignorant

      That's where you just messed up sis! You most absolutely can; you just need to find the right product. I'm learning more more about as I watch her channel along with plenty other. Check out curly proverbz. She's from London, but she came to a hair convention in New York, where there were tons of sistaz, dark-skin and light-skin alike, always beautiful luscious long hair.     For low pority I use THE DOUX. Found in target. Sister owned and salon type results. It's multi faceted and easy to use and reapply no flakes and great shine

    When my hair was long I would only air dry and my twists would be wet for 3 days before I finally took them out, soooo low porosity strikes hard sis lol

    The fact that you have that much shrinkage makes me WEEP for how long my hair will have to get before I don't have to stretch it 😭😭😭

      But you should always try to stretch either way because stretched hair is less prone to tangling and knots (I think).

    I’m low porosity and I always air dry over night. What I have learned is to start my wash day earlier in the day so when I do my twists/ braids, they dry completely

    Thank you for the tips! About a year ago, I bought the Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion mousse and deemed it a huge fail. I'm going to try it again with a cream styler for a twistout and braidout .

    My hair literally dries in 2 hours wash and go state but twists over night, the middle part of my hair be playing GAMES..

      2hrs!! You're lucky! My hair takes two days to dry when I do a wash n go, and three for a twist out. I just give up on trying to air dry my hair.

    First of all the result, BOMB! Definitely a lot of definition and stretching out your roots put the icing on the cake for me! Second of all, this has to be the first video I’ve watched of yours where your hair process looked a whole lot similar to how my hair reacts to this method of doing my hair and it was crazy because I have high porosity hair. I’m starting to think my hair is changing !

      Enjoymykinkz a lot goes by genetics and care combined. So if someone has naturally thin edges no amount of care can make them thicker .

    The design essentials mousse is really nice it’s moisturizing, mixes with almost every product you pair it with (even rinse out conditioners), and it allows me hair to dry quick but I guess that’s a characteristic of most mousses. The DE mousse also smells good and makes it easy to detangle

    i’m low porosity too and i air dry my twists but it never takes just one night i have to keep it in for at least 2, i just always do wearable twists and usually keep them for 5 days - a week

    I have low porosity and I air dry for 2 days or a day n a half. So idk how people can pull out their hair over night.

    When I do twist outs my hair is literally almost dry before the end of the night even! It’s just the porosity of my hair 🙌🏽

    I am low porosity as well and it takes my hair 3 days minimum to dry but I do prefer to air-dry since I leave my twists in as a style then do the twist out after. I have blow-dried my hair but that is normally at least an hour session which I don't got time for that. Your hair looks so fluffy and soft though and I might try the mousse trick

    I have low porosity hair and let it air dry in every style i do.. mini twists twist outs braid outs wash n gos.. i just try to style my hair as soon as i wake up so its drying all day and all night.. i also go to school in arizona so that sun helps too

    I have type 4 edges and Tropical Roots foam lays my baby hairs down. It also works as an amazing mousse with strong hold for my wash n go's.

    It takes my hair around 15 hours to air dry with twists. Keeping it in the twists for two to three days gives me a better twist out.
