Michiru Yamane composed the score for this game. She is composer of many Castlevania games including Symphony of the Night.

Same here! I know it's been out on Steam since last year but the Switch is my Metroidvania console and it's been a while since I've played a good one
Just so you don't get hopes up, it is quite linear and is more a 2d adventure than metroidvania

the game is inspired by 90's animes like Sailor moon and Saint seiya
MC that looks like a genderbent Captain Harlock with a Sailor Moon transformation sequence into Saint Seiya armor.
It literally is the exact same. Not influenced by it, no, they literally just copied it. I should finish the show at some point.
When she swapped armor it looked like Ezra Scarlet from Fairy Tail
Gorgeous metroidvania looking like Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya with a big ax and The only complaint from reviewers was performance issues that have probably been fixed!
I buy immediately
MC really reminded me of a female version of Captain Harlock or Pirate Queen Emeraldas.
And that Archsis character intro pose at the end of that animation was clean too.

Solid game. I pledged to the Kickstarter, wanted it for the Switch originally but didn't want to wait, so I chose to have it on Steam. Very nice metroidvania, not long, great music, nice lore. Just get it, lol
Don't like the not long part, after games like Hollow Knight I've come to expect some length even if Hollow Knight might be the most extreme example.
@@SaberWolf94 well, it's not super short or anything, i think it can easily be finished under 10 hours, I took my time and collected everything and it took me 8-9 hours to complete. If you want more than that then sadly you won't find it here. I hope the release a DLC.

@@Lexington89 Yeah, that's too bad 10 hours is extremely short for my taste even though I liked what I saw here.
I wish i saw this/knew where to see these kinda indie games early on like Kickstarter so i can support. Looks fun!

Swords are cool and all, but I would like more uncommon weapon wielding fighters to play around with. A halberd fits the bill.
Also, metroidvanias are super cool and a fav of mine.
So this looks great to me, and I would very much like to play it.

I don’t really play this type of game but damn! I am loving this beautiful old school anime style animation. Reminds me of The Vision of Escaflowne and Dirty Pair.
