    This video saved me $100 for a service call and I didn’t have to wait a week to get a repair tech out here. I cleared the drain myself in about 10 minutes and am washing clothes again. THANK YOU!!!!

      I’m glad this video was helpful for you. Also, before you unscrew that little plastic valve, you can drain the water by simply removing that black hose just unplug it and let the water drain before you unscrew that valve.

    Thank you sooooo much, as if anyone hadn't already said so!! I was going out of my head trying to figure out what the code was. After SOME research, I finally got nowhere (big deal, now I know what the code means). How to Effin fix the 'draining slow' issue. Nowhere on any countries' official Whirlpool website or CZcams channel was there anything to be found about how to simply drain the damn thing. I was about to stick a damn wire hanger in back drain, just because I'm old school 80s micky mouse (doesn't always work, Micky!!)...
    ...now I'm in a peaceful place. Thanx again, you're the man!!

    Thank you! I just finished the clean out and found a necklace and earrings and a brad nail. 😅 running a quick wash now. I’m doing this because there was a leak from the same area.
    Well darn it looks like that didn’t solve it. But I appreciate your video anyway. If anybody has any thoughts about it leaking from the same area please let me know

    I just stumbled on nasty lint between the drum and rubber boot. There is a drain in the bottom of the boot just above this filter. I used long needle nosed pliers to pull it out … next I will have to clean this filter. Who knew. 🤷‍♀️

    This video is in fact useless for 99% of people. Most late model whirlpool front load washers require removing the back panel to access the filter. The washer machine in this video has the optional automatic detergent option which gives you a pull out drawer and easy access to the filter. Just fyi

      I don’t understand why they making the newer washers like that so people suffer more and Calle technicians to repair it?

      You mean 'early' model??

      Back panel? Nah. Newest ones you can’t access without removing the entire front of the washer. This comment led me astray twice! Since I didn’t have a front access door for the pump I figured I’d remove the back. Not super time consuming, but was a pain in the a** to move the washer since it’s on isolation feet. Only after removing it did I confirm the filter basket is in fact in front, with no way to access but to remove the front of the washer. I had to remove the top, control panel, remove the front gasket (removing and reinstalling the retainer was painful), then finally some bolts to lift the front off. Watch out for the door lock sensor connector! Boy what a stupid design!

    Hey man. Hey. Is the pump and the drain hose supposed to be fully empty after every cycle or is there always residual water ? Thanks

    • @nazarettos6987
      @nazarettos6987  Před 8 měsíci

      There is residual water when you remove that plug to clean it.
