  • Iran's government is conducting a harsh crackdown on women there, violently enforcing the country's strict chastity laws - compulsory veiling, dress codes and other regulations. This campaign of violence and intimidation has drawn condemnation from human rights groups. Dan Abrams says, however, there have been no major protests from the American left. Elica Le Bon, an Iranian-American attorney and activist who is speaking out about what is going on in Iran, joins NewsNation's "Dan Abrams Live."
"Dan Abrams Live" brings a fresh, no-holds-barred approach to covering and analyzing the news. Weekdays at 9p/8C. #DanAbramsLive

Why there are no such reports on Saudi Arabia's, Pakistan (and so on) 'morality polices'? They are way, way more harsh and they only allow women's eyes to be seen, all else has to be covered. Also they can't leave their home without male companion (unlike in Iran where women can walk free).

How are you going to be mad that people are not protesting? Are you protesting? People can protest about whatever they want to protest about. Iran has always had these ridiculous laws and people CHOOSE to live there and CHOOSE to ignore these laws knowing the consequences. I do not think that is the same as a war and innocent people getting killed.
