  • Unedited news footage of the Recommissioning Ceremony of HMS Ark Royal in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother in Portsmouth. This would prove to be the Queen Mother's last ever official public engagement.

      @@KingJackson11355 yes i always thought we would have had her till her mothers age its very very sad the queen mum was amazing for her age late 90s she was still active and even after getting both hips done at 99 she could still walk ..

    I met her that day and was speaking to her, but I can't for the life of me remember what she said, which is a pity. It was almost 20 years ago though.

      @@samadams2575 it was quite random that I got to meet her, I was just picked out whilst we were waiting for her to get onboard. I managed to get a really nice picture of meeting her, which has been framed.

    Aww I miss her. I wonder if the queen will live longer then her. EDIT dam to bad. Rest in peace to both the queens ❤

    Seems like an awful long time on her feet trying to balance herself. Wow. She was amazing, but I feel like she should have been seated and people came to her. That's a lot at that age.

      She was a very proud woman so I imagine she insisted on standing.

      She breaks collar bones. that's why she doesn't have so much balance and needs two canes
