Avs have a serious goalie problem. Won't get out of the first round with the current pair of net minders.
a few of those goals were not on the goalie. Bad defense was the issue.

Give the backup starts. Georgiev blows. I'm finding it more amazing when he actually makes even a simple save.

But you need the goalie to make an incredible, impossible save to settle the team down, or inspire them.
Georgiev rarely makes that save.

The jets have one of the best if not best goaltender in the NHL and experience playoff goal tender and they have been one of best teams this year I think the 3 best Canadian teams this year Vancouver Edmonton and Jets are 3 teams that anyone meeting them first round better be playing there best and goaltending always wins Stanley cups

Send DU & Davis to WPG...at least we will see some fight, toughness,heart,desire,DEFENSE, GOALTENDING & not softness on the level of charmin...good grief.
Jets are for real, and not frauds like some say. They have beaten Colorado 3
games straight and in convincing fashion. They also just shut out the 1st place
Stars, and have beaten other top teams this year. If their goalltending continues
to play like this, they have a very good chance at winning the Western Conference

Jets are good but Dallas didn't care about that game... apparently the Avs didn't either-but they had no reason not to...Dallas performance was completely understandable. They knew they won the Central last Sunday at Ball. You beat us up twice-today,& in mid December...but the other game in Denver you were very fortunate to escape without at least going to OT.But regular season doesn't matter much-albeit a beat down this late might matter more psychologically than most regular season head to heads-we will soon find out.
But if you don't get how it can flip in the 2nd season-you haven't watched the NHL playoffs even once.Florida last year vs the greatest regular season team ever...Montreal in 2021...I could go on,& on.Im not confident the Avs flip the script in the playoffs but to think it impossible is just flat out ignorant of any hockey history at all. Or the immense talent,& potential of Colorado-miles ahead of so many underdogs who've pulled upsets throughout history.

The AVes are the frauds they have 1(amazing) NHL line and 3 AHL lines. Add in two AHL goalies and you have a group of frauds carried by 4 skilled players.

just sounds like theres drama going on we dont know about. just paving over the fact that nothing in todays game felt like normal. seems like avs do better when against the wall, having a few days off does not make them play any better, I bet you we play better against vegas tomorrow despite it being back to back.
Except now the Vegas & Edmonton games don't matter at all-just like the Nuggets game tomorrow.Only thing that matters now-do you compete in game 1 in WPG? If you do-you have a chance but if you lay down,& get blown out-itll be a short series.But tomorrow means as much as an exhibition.And if your goalie plays like a bad ECHL backup-none of it matters.Giorgiev isnt remotely the only issue & cant be expected to match the best goalie on earth-but he has to narrow the gap a bunch.
@@JasonSmith-pe5py if I had to guess they are trying to avoid injuries. if jets somehow lose their last 2 games and avs manage to win their last 2, avs end up clinching home ice no? probably not worth the risk to even try, like you said its basically over for pre season, at least in this conference.

Anyone that thinks the Avs don’t show up for game one is straight illogical. I’m guessing some negativity and frustration and maybe even some finger pointing crept into the bench today. They came in to the game too relaxed from a great performance. I honestly think loosing today might be the difference maker in a close series. And we win from it. There’s no way an easy win (like a swap) today translates to something good. We’ve seen a few of these lazy team games the last week and one very good one. So we know they can do both. I really believe that the will and want of winning is a huge part of winning. Every single person on the team needs to show up to win. No matter what kind of effort. I’m kinda surprised players don’t occasionally puke from effort. Or start seeing tunnel vision from too much effort. Hitting the wall. HR around 200 bpm. I’ve seen it many times racing bikes. It’s not safe to do this constantly but it should happen to a player or two every damn game.
Except the lazy games were against their top 2 contenders in the division, and the very good game was against Wild team that's not making the playoffs.

GM did not get a goalie at the deadline. Coach all year has not gotten the team to play its full potential all season. Changes need to be made over the summer. Joe Sakic needs learn from Pierre Lacroix.

Disappointed, there is little which gives confidence we can beat Winnipeg. We had the best home record and we don't even have home ice in 1st round. It's basically been Nathan Mackinnon who's shown up every game. All season we came from behind but rarely played a full game with a lead. After 80 games that starts to take a toll. MANSON is famous for taking penalties late in the game. He never should've been out there in a close game, we could've had this. There's still way too much overpassing and not enough storming the net. Yeah we have a lot of shots but even goalies on bad teams look great against us because we're holding the puck too long before shooting. We need to do the same team's do to us, crash the net, throw pucks on net, but that's not this team's style. Maybe Bednar isn't pushing enough, if this team is as sloppy as they have been there are some serious issues going on. Last year in our play we didn't have too much depth, this year it's the same. Unfortunately Mackinnon can't carry the team every night. Mike and Cale aren't playing as well as the did last year. I know they're scoring but they're making lots of mistakes too.

I was at the game. Lack of interest in playing, turnovers was bad for every Avs player on the ice. The team deserved every boo from the fans. They we're sloppy. I never leave a game early I did today. I sometimes think its possible a coaching issue. Bednar coaching has been in question for me.
Agreed. I think he's a smart coach but the whole stoic persona does kinda get old sometimes. I can't tell if he has mentally given up for this season or he's confident with a game plan in mind. Games like this he should at least be showing some emotion and better answers as to how they plan on bouncing back
yup I was there and wasnt very impressed, still love our team but todays highlight for me was the $12 smash burger I had when i got there, worth every morsel!

Think that's bad...try working at the arena & therefore not being able to be fully honest about the disgrace we all witnessed this afternoon. Days like this are hard to remember you aren't just a fan-but indirectly work for the team...albeit almost the bottom of the totum pole-lol.
A win like this could be bad for Winnepeg if they meet up in the first round. The AV's now have something to prove, and they'll feed of this humiliating loss.
The Jets put all their cards on the table. Avs now know how they will play in the playoffs. On the other hand, the Jets have no idea what the Avs will bring in the playoffs
