Bhumisparsha Showcase《触地回顾》

Bhumisparsha Touching the Earth is a project conceived by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, to nurture a global community that celebrates the Buddha. One of Bhumisparsha’s goals was to collect 100,000,000 recitations of the Shakyamuni mantra from July 24, 2020 to January 1, 2021. On January 1st, Bhumisparsha announced that its community had accumulated an astounding 588,282,462 recitations. These surely have benefited, and will continue to benefit all sentient beings.
Another goal of Bhumisparsha was to encourage offerings of all types, emphasizing creativity as a way of remembering the Buddha. This video presents how, over five months, admirers of Shakyamuni came together from around the world and shared stories, art, music and more in honor of this man who embodies wisdom, love and compassion.
The video is divided into four parts: “Submissions,” “The Chronicles of Bhumisparsha,” “The Guide,” and “Touching Base,” showcasing the different elements that composed the project. From the Bhumisparsha team, stay creative, continue to “touch the earth,” and keep an eye out for more Bhumisparsha in 2021!
