Pack of lies. Everyone speaking Polish can easily access testimonies of direct witnesses to this crime, which was committed by Einsatzkomando of Hermann Schaper, which forced Christians to participate at gunpoint, which was a typical modus operandi during those days. Many Christians, including in Jedwabne, refused anyway, some were killed because of it.
There are documents showing that in order to cover their atrocities, Germans were to force locals to participate in those crimes.
Stop antipolonism please. It doesn't take much study to realize, that Gross, Engelking and Grabowski are biased against the Poles.
Funny that nobody asks Poles about what happened in Polish town of Jedwabne and in other places, turns out foreigners claim to know better.

@@beni107 None of Jan Gross’ star witnesses from this fiction book were even at Jedwabne at the time!

@@karolina2833where you their at that time?
Or are you still going to say it never happened? (“Fiction” as you wrote). If the answer to this question is “yes” - than I’m truly sorry that we cannot have a civil discussion. I am bound to see the sun for what it is and can not go outside during the day and proclaim it’s night.

@buoazej 'Many Christians, including in Jedwabne, refused anyway, some were killed because of it.'
What sources do mainstream Polish historians have about this?
'Einsatzkomando of Hermann Schaper, which forced Christians to participate at gunpoint, '
bs - even Laudanski mentioned that people were curious about what was happening and they participated freely. Check the interview with him on youtube
I am also Polish, and have family testimony from Radzilow where polish people were directly resposible for pogrom. That's why Jan Gross's version of events in Jedwabne seems more plausible to me than that of Polish nationalists. Many Polish nationalists question Radzilow in the same way.
