  • The Hero Xpulse 200 gets yet another update with the intent to improve the top end with the switch from 2 valves to 4 valves. That's unlocked 1 additional HP and 1 Nm of torque and is backed with a complete overhaul of the internal gear ratios which are now stacked together closer and the overall gearing is shorter. Can this change see the Xpulse 200 4V finally take the fight to the Yezdi Adventure and RE Himalayan? Sarge hops on to find out.

      @Mayank T ya u can definitely go for it..it will really give u some feel like u are driving something great..reliability wise..still i am nt the right person..as mine have done only 2000 kms..but so far so good..give a mileage of 40-45..single ride is awesome..if the pillion is lighter..u will have the same feel..bt if pillion is somewhat heavier..there the bike feels a little underpowered.. the bike really gives u goosebumps whn u do off roads

    Fun off road, easy going on road, able tourer within controlled speeds.
    Very very frugal compared to other options can easily return 40+ kpl on highway infact inside city fuel economy is good.
    Best part is it is very very very frugal to maintain , with economical service cost and very economical spares.
    Had crashed my bs6 2v and the cost of repairs was very minimal with few parts changed and nothing major damage considering the crash was really bad one.
    I am a very satisfied bs6 2v owner.

    This is a great product .. it’s simple and well thought out design .. it can be your daily commuter , highway tourer , off-roader , great mileage , low maintenance..
    I just miss a 6th gear ( something like a overdrive gear) given the shortened gear ratios now , switchable rear channel abs and a slipper clutch.

  • @sushrith
    @sushrith Před 2 lety +2

    The gear indicator going blank when the clutch is pulled in is by design, I think this bike determines the gear based on your road speed (kmph) vs engine speed (rpm) and when the clutch is engaged it evidently can't reliably tell what gear you're in, so this is a feature technically ;)
    The "right way" is to have a gear position sensor but that probably meant more cost so Hero probably skipped it.

    My opinion:
    comparing it with 2v the 4v has better refinement and heat management to munch miles. My only concern is with seats and brakes as you mentioned in the review.

    Hero Xpulse 200 4V with a rally kit is amazing;(for riders not commuters) . if the channel was true, they would have mentioned that this bike is very tall(with the rally kit) and that normal motorcyclists will find it hard to control until and unless they have had some experience with it. The stock Xpulse is a great beginner bike, but with the rally kit; it is one of the best off-road bikes in India.

    • @SagarSheldekarOfficial
      @SagarSheldekarOfficial  Před 2 lety

    I always love watching your review sir. Now, looking at the peak of competition and demands of the Indian commuters and bikers. Hero should approach and try a new platform. They can resurrect the Karizma DNA, a stronger and bigger than this Xpulse engine which has now evolve and it stills need a room of improvement. So why not bring again the Karizma with a sports fairing variant, naked variant, adventure / cruiser variant and even scrambler variant. Sound risky but I bet this will change the whole game for Hero and stand with a upper hand against all his old rival like Bajaj and TVS. They can improvise the Power and torque and upgrade with exciting features and price. Looking forward for this evolution from my favourite Indian Hero. Kyunki hum main hain Hero!

    Sarge, do you find the stock tyres reliable? On road or off-road? I feel the buttons should have been smaller in width...gap between the slits should have been less. When you are hard braking, if the contact patch is fully on the button, it tends to skid, also sideways on wet rocks.

    Very good review! I liked that you covered things like low rpm fueling and how the front suspension felt when going through the ditch. I wonder if Hero will make a variant with the rally kit pre-equipped. That should help cut down the total cost of buying a rally spec Xpulse since you are only paying for one set of components. But in the current scenario, Hero makes more money. Would a company choose to make less money? I think not.
