Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 Review | An Expensive Proposition | Sagar Sheldekar Official | 4K

  • Sarge finally gets his hands on the V Strom SX 250 based on Suzuki's well established 250cc platform. So it is heavily based on the Gixxer 250 but comes wrapped in new bodywork, gets a 19 inch front and also commands a massive 32k premium over the naked. Sarge hops on to make sense of it in this episode of Living It Up RAW.

Hey Sarge ! Got a vstrom delivered last week. Its a wonderful machine. I do a lot of commuting and occasional short trips (max 200kms to and fro) and this serves me well. Coming from a xpulse 200 4v, the suspension is a bit stiff but the handling and stability has blown me away. Its also really comfortable and smooth. The power is not frantic but after a point it sure is fun. I also have a conti gt650 which takes care of the fun quotient. The xpulse felt a bit underpowered with a pillion but the suzuki is a gem ❤ sadly in India, good machines are not accepted by the majority. And moreover i think the seat height is a deal breaker for most. They are even scared to test ride it. Im 5’9” and this thing is perfect ❤

Best review, I thought suzuki might have seen this video. They are now giving good amount of discount on this bike. I own it a month ago I got around 30000 benefit from the showroom the on road price was at
2.25L after all discounts and a rider jacket, normal full face helmet, tank pad and a crash guard I got as free accessories from service centre.
After a month of ride I can say it feels more smoother than before, getting mileage around 38-42.
I can say this doesn’t mean for hardcore off roading but u can take it to some bad roads.
Though the suspension travel isn’t enough but it’s on softer side to soak every pot holes and rough patches and even rumblers

It brakes late and due to this many guys with Gixxer 250 and the SF have crashed. As for the range, I have been consistently getting above 400 km on full tank for past 2 years. Dad gifted me the Gixxer as my first bike in 2016 and it spoiled me so bad that I cannot ride my new RE Classic 350 at a steady pace. For a sub-200cc bike, the old Gixxer was a crazy-handling machine with that lively engine that also provided good mileage and great reliability (I even forget my lunch bag but not riding at max rpm, not even once). Still have it to this day coz my Dad loves it too :) Reminiscing those college days when I'd zip past vehicles (safely hehe) with a grin is always a joy !!
Surely Suzuki guys know how to make a good bike but I feel like they missed the timing with this V-Strom 250. Suzuki purists still gonna buy either this or the other Gixxer 250s coz they know what it can provide all year...

Well explained... technically as well, which gave a clear idea whether to go for it or not. However, I cancelled my planning to go ahead further after evaluating this video, many thanks my bro. Keep rocking.

I’m a very satisfied owner of 2017 Suzuki Gixxer SF carb model, which I bought after watching your review. Till date the motorcycle has done around 42k kms, without any problems. On the other hand I own a Himalayan, which I was planning to replace with a light weight motorcycle. So I visited Suzuki showroom, and VStom’s design caught my eyes. However, the rear light was a biggest turnoff for me. Even my 2017 Gixxer has a clear lens tail lamp whereas this one sports the same design but it’s not clear lens. Additionally it costs 2.55lakhs in Kolkata, which sealed the fate of the purchase, and I decided to keep my Himalayan.
In my opinion VStorm SX is nothing but a grossly overpriced parts bin motorcycle.

Amazed with the review, the way the details are explained 👏 Sargeant can only do it. So, if I need to choose a bike in this price range(or even lower) and need the best comfort level especially for my back, which one shall I go for ?
