You forgot the important role: slug. Cuz I'm always on the ground xD
Damn guess I should be called that too, I avoid salt like it's the plague in that game.
I also hump the ground slowly leaving a trail of slime
Every team needs the enemy reasource dumpster.
Lmao dbd type
I think it's your holistic approach to teaching, your calm and clear cadence, and your general kindness and good nature which keep me coming back. It's often a terribly violent and chaotic game filled with toxic monsters, and you bring some clear-reasoned tutorials that makes my improvements in Apex more enjoyable. Thanks a bunch!
I have to totally agree. You have summed it up so well!
crazy i just made a similar comment then right below mine I saw this. this is exactly what I was trying to say. well said
Topic don’t see covered much if at all. I hope it helps! 😊
100% I’ve been playing for 3 seasons now and this still helped. Now I have a video I can recommend to those I play with to help them improve. Thanks a million Dazs! 😁
It truly isn’t covered that much, one of the reasons I felt the need to cover it was cause of my solo que experience.
Exactly what I've been looking for.
Love this, we need more strat guides. You are amazing!!
Dazs your content is by far the best coaching content for those trying to understand apex and how everything works. I dont think ive seen anyone describe it quite like you do. Thank you for taking the time to explain all this. Even with videos i already know i still learn things. Especially managing a team currently and putting them together im trying to understand the comps etc more...... Appreciate all you do
hey man. i stumbled across ur spectating series and instantly became a fan.
i have watched how u play and listened to the tips and comments u make, and have started implementing them in my game play: hugging the geometry, narrow peeking, frequent rotation and all the rest, it has instantly improved my game play. i still need to work on my aim and recoil control but i am having so much more fun doing it now.
thx for ur effort and keep up the good work. cheers
Yassssss!! Just started the video and I’ve been hoping you’d make something like this!!!! So excited 🤗
As always. SO ABSOLUTELY FRIKEN FANTASTIC! 😃 GREAT JOB! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is something that was never actively discussed in my friend group but we just sort of built up unconsciously over time. I want to say team chemistry can be very helpful to filling your role as best you can, mostly regarding positioning/spacing so you know what your teammates are doing without even thinking about it. I'm always going for the off-angles while my friend forces people from cover, but this isn't even an active choice we need to make at this point.
Dazs I don't know how niche of a topic it would be but a video where you talk about what info you present to the enemy team to try and affect their behavior (showing presence to discourage aggression, pretending to be bad/baiting to try and get them to make a bad push, etc.) might be worthwhile, as I feel not a lot of people consider fights from the enemy's mental perspective.
Love you Dazs, your content has been a game changer for me! Keep doing what you do man
Great idea for a video! Don't see this type of content anywhere else.
So much info to digest. I will have to re-watch this a few times... maybe it can be explored further in a series of videos? Anyway thanks a million!!!
Thanks so much!! This has been extremely helpful. I thought roles were more “rigid” I guess and legend choice kind of cemented your role. It’s great to know this isn’t the case cos I don’t particularly like being pigeon holed 😂 now I’m curious to review more of my gameplay and see which roles I can fill more efficiently and which roles I need to work on more. Excellent content as always!
i actually love this breakdown. everywhere else is just entry/secondary/anchor. but after watching this video ive learned im a mix between support/secondart/co-igl and my friend i play with is a entry/off angle/igl.
I've played Apex off and on since season 7, and I immediately realized strategy played a HUGE role. And I realized I sucked at doing damage because I was just trying to have fun getting kills, which got me killed most of the time. I don't have any friends that play, so I got stuck in pubs everytime, which made it all impossible to figure out, because tons of randoms rush head-first to their deaths. It's like they like to load into a game just to give people kills. Lol...🤬 Anyways I'm now to the point of getting into higher skill level matches, and I'm loving the game so much more because experienced players know what they're doing. But I have never been filled in on all the roles, and didn't know what I was supposed to do. Thank you so so SO much for this video, I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot more fun now!! I really appreciate the work you do to help us with these videos!
it's crazy you're not at a million subs yet, please keep putting these vids out! thank you
So, so helpful! I never realized the need to “flex” between roles mid game. That alone is going to make such a difference. An in depth guide on each role would be amazing! Thank you for the content, it’s very appreciated!
I'm surprised this only has 16k views.
I've definitely seen this before but it is refreshing to stumble upon it again. Provides a certain sharpness.
I play Wraith, and usually end up being the IGL, Entry Fragger and then Off-Angle once I've popped a battery.
At times, even fill the role of Anchor. Players seem to get scared when they see a portal on a door forcing them to either ignore our team completely or wait until the portal disappears
Coach Dazs with them hitters🤘🏽 another banger video!
I love your videos. u have such a calming voice and do a great job of explaining the things u are talking about.
i absolutely love this video dazs! it helped me a lot understand what i should do to enter a fight!!
Thank you man, Sharing this to my team.
Love you dazs keep up the good work
Dang man, your videos are scripture to my squad, your videos spoonfeed my bros their skill lmao, we're improving massively.
Dazs I just got ungrounded I really really hope every gets better for you and your family. I don't think there is anyway I can help you but I'm here for you. Like you are here for me when I'm done. Much love for you and your family ❤️
learned so much from this video, didn't even know this was a thing. thank you very much!
Solid video. Sharing with my squad
Amazing video, also dazs can you make a video on the very same concept with maybe an in depth illustrative gameplay instead of firing range simulation even if it ends up longer. I know you have been having tough times so it is understandable if you can't make it. You're a great teacher and I want to be like you one day :)
Thank you, I didn't realize that perspective on this
Love this video very much needed at least for me who’s someone that kind of switches roles playing solo ranked
Thank you for this!
this helpped skill and knowledge alot thank you man\
Love your videos you made me much better player And more Calm tysm ♥️
Thank you for watching! :)
Strategizing is so confusing to me so i have simple rules for my self like:
1)Make sure your health is as high as it can be
2)Keep high groud
3)use weapons im familiar with
4)only push if there's a knock/the enemy is clearly panicking.
5)flank if possible
6)if im trading shots with a squad anf 1 hasn't been knocked, then disengage.
Simple stuff like that. I've simply played so many games i kinda know what to do in most scenarios. And imporvise for the rest. Whilst also thinking about ways to abuse my legends ability(which is the most fun part of apex legends for me).
Great content man.
Amazing job, thanks 😃
I’ve just started the video and I have to say I need to watch this I need to stop being an entry granger when I’m playing wattson and that’s the main reason I’m dying because I can’t get out of a fight easily
Love your content Daz. I has helped me improve so much in a short time and I love your videos. I do have a question tho. How would I defend a building or high ground without a defensive legends in my team comp. I’ve been having a difficult time when I get the high ground trying to defend it
Such a good video thank you Dazs
thanks for the vids...hope your doing better
I am, friends and family have all been super supportive. Appreciate you! :)
Thank you!
Super helpful vid! Hope all is well :)
Number 1 apex coach on CZcams ❤
really great video
Thank you sir. Btw, what meaning you give to IGL? Leader of the pack?
Good info!
Important video for most of us! :)
Great content
Honestly you help me for being a ok player too an average player, from 1 kill per game to 3 kill per game
Thank you
My friend fucking needed this soooo bad. Nobody EVER talks about this. When you pick someone, YOU ARE THAT CHARACTER.
lol other people should not be telling you when and how to use your stuff.
Edit: Spelling
thank you
Im a solo player i really dont like to group up because people can’t stay focused on playing the game. But with that said i have to play 4 to 5 roles a game plus be the leader to tell my team where to go and when to abandon a fight. All while being a solo guy we need tips for lone wolf type of players. Im a pretty good solo player though i make it to diamond every season I play seriously
Great video! I always see vids about the current “meta” comp. Seer, horizon, and Valk. Or seer, Newcastle, Valk. But they never go into detail about who should be doing what, aside from what their skills do. In those comps, which character would be better for which role?
Used them mostly as examples, but you can fill in the blanks on a specific legend. Any one specific you have questions about.
Example: Wattson / Defensive legend can be used as a potential floater. Think of your defense creating a wall moving forward. Stronger defensive, the stronger the offense.
Vantage can be used for pretty much every role, but other legends also do it better. But having a jack of all trades is helpful.
Lifeline is really a support. Lifeline should never entry frag, If she does, her toolkit is all put to waste. She makes great secondary pushing.
Pathfinder, Vantage, Horizon, Valk, and Loba (and more) all make great off angle legends. Who can get to a random height or spot to create pressure? As long as the entry frag and support are sticking together. Worst thing is having two off angles and then the opponents realize how separate you are.
Thanks for the response! My team is running Seer, Valk, and horizon actually lol. We’ve all def been doing our own thing tho so I can’t wait for them to see this video. Would horizon as entry fragger, seer as support, and Valkyrie the off angle make the most sense?
great vid; sub'd.
Yes
Hey don’t think I can’t recognize the underwater donkey Kong country music. I was a 90s baby
I always seem to be more of a entry *damager* player not consciously but for some reason as soon as I get anyone down to low flesh health I immediately die I'm fairly certain that if I were to 1v1 a person with no weapons, no way to input any controls, no one else in a 500 mile radius and then get them to 20 flesh health a meteorite would strike me directly only exception to that is if they walk into one of my wattson fences but I'm pretty sure you could win a 1v1 against a person who walked into a wattson fence using nothing but voice controls
I have the same problem 😂 I always pump out big damage and at the last second I'll get sniped from across the map, it's so annoying
I have a problem holding high ground alot of times because the whole lobby just starts to focus me
me after literally every dazs video: finally, now i've learned enough, no more apex tips videos
me after watching one of his new vids: nevermind!
Great video. Where is your discord link man?
As a fuse main im guessing i should learn to play in a support role
I know my role, I'm cannon fodder for all the other teams
the seer meta is kinda like a pandora's box. you would need to rework his ultimate, this meta also significantly lowers the skill ceiling of the game in my opinion.
Thank You Lmaoooo
i play different roles sometimes, like being an igl, entry or anchor. which one do i know will work for me and my team?
If you want to be an IGL you have to be able to identify what roles your teammates fit into (assuming you have a team) once that’s done, put yourself in the role that best compliments the others. (Any role can be IGL like Dazs said)
@@aerkiger6068 Nah I don't have a team currently, and what you said makes moreee senseee
@@UnkleDuke Do you play on console? I have a 3 stack for ranked but 2 of us consistently need a 3rd throughout the night if youre up for it. What rank/skill level are you?
@@aerkiger6068 Nah am on PC, first fps so still learning, rn am silver 3
based dazs
This is the way I want to play the game
WOW there are 22 legends now? I remembered when there was only 8
this video can be redone in the new range
Still upset mirage wasn't included as an off angle legend. My boy is OP for off angles
I just gave some initial examples, really any legend can play any role. Just depends how good the player is and their understanding of the role.
I sent this as a reminder to my ALGS teammates/homies!
I may be alone in this, but whenever I watch informational vids like this with highly nuanced tips and strategies, i get kinda sad and feel like its useless for me personally since I never have a consistent 3 stack or even a duo to apply these concepts to. It seems near impossible to apply any high level strategy solo q in what feels like a disparate community with no real way of finding teammates.
so..
Enrtry fragger - Main attacker
Secondary fragger - attacker
Support - protector
Role: surviving in solo q
Which role was crypto in?
He can be a flex role. He is going to be support with his ultimate and he can float for the team with info. Crypto is in such a unique spot.
Ultimate is great opener
Follows up with entry fragger
Gathers intel like an off angle without being in that position
Can anchor by being oppressive with information
This is what makes crypto such a skill based legend. Its all timing and understanding pacing of the fight. But crypto does need a strong team.
@@Dazs Thank you for the thorough and comprehensive answer! I love playing crypto, but I really want to be good with him, so people can see, how good is he in good hands! And he is very fun too😁
OMG ANOTHER CRYPTO MAIN
I can die happy now ;w:
First
Just saying it is the best time to make apex mobile content
My role is to feed the enemy and get revived
You forgot yhe role hiker because he is always carrying
When did loba become a healer?
Always listed as one oddly
