I’m Makayla! I’m twenty years old and a third year at the University of Chicago (though I’m currently abroad at the University of Bristol). Right now I’m studying Creative Writing for my major and Astronomy and Astrophysics for my minor, and I also like to read and cook in my free time. Curious -- do they make you leave the dorm over break or would you be able to stay there if you didn't want to travel home?
We could stay over break if we wanted to! Fortunately I was able to make it home for the holidays but I also know some students who had much longer flights chose to stay in Bristol.
Wanted to know, how long is your course?
It's a full academic year, so I'll be back in Bristol until spring!
I could not comment on your violin video, but if you see this comment. Your progress was outstanding but I think your right hand is blocking your progress on more advanced techniques and maturer tone!
I've been playing the violin for a year so take my words with a grain of salt yet I'd love to hear your opinion back
Oops! CZcams sometimes automatically disables my comments so I have to go back in and manually allow them (it’s so annoying haha). And that’s really good advice, thank you so much!! I definitely get distracted by other parts of violin playing and neglect the right hand sometimes so I’m really glad you brought it up. It’s the perfect inspiration to work on more advanced techniques! Thank you!!
