I'm hoping to join bristol uni this autumn to study physics with astrophysics (if covid doesn't ruin it too much!) and this video was very helpful! I play guitar and I wanna keep going with it at uni so I was just wondering if you knew what the halls are like for musicians and what the music practice rooms in the residences are like? I've seen them listed on some residences but I haven't found a single photo of them. Thanks!
Hey Alex, it really depends on the halls of residence that you will be staying it! But I know quite a few of them have music rooms which you can practice in, if not there is a whole room dedicated to music practice in the students union and a whole building called the Victoria rooms. Hope this helped! Let me know if you have any other questions
@@nicoleveronica4641 this helps a lot, thank you!
You are so amazingly spoken! i would love to know about your experience with societies ;) xx
Thank youâșïž, your wish is my command xx
great video! I'm super nervous about starting next month! (There are 9 accommodation preferences now instead of 3)
Arri Deng Thank you so much, Iâm glad you enjoyed. Congratulations on getting into Bristol thatâs fantastic! Feeling nervous is so normal and common, just remember everyone is in the same boat and probably feeling the same as you. In no time at all Iâm sure you will settle into uni life. I hope you get your first preference for accommodation! X
Nicole Veronica Thank you! Thatâs lovely of you, I did actually get my first preference.. courtrooms, because I study lawđ that was mostly what my decision was based on
Bit off topic but Iâd love it if you could do a hair routine like what you wash your hair with and leave in + straightening it etc xx
I would love to do that ahaha. Make sure your subscribed so your notified for when I post my hair routine! X
Nicole Veronica thank you so much!! And of course of course đ X

heyy ik iâm very late to be commenting this but i was wondering what the class sizes were in bristol? Iâm thinking of applying there but i cant seem to find any information on the class sizes and thatâs something thatâs quite important for me
This was so helpful Iâm looking at going to Bristol or Exeter could u make a video on the type of people youâll find at Bristol and stereotypes ish
Iâm glad you found this helpfulđđœ, Iâll definitely be making more Bristol videos so subscribe and stay tuned for those - I have a video like soon that Iâll be posting!
heya, really useful vid thanks! I've just been given Durdham and was wondering if the rooms have a wardrobe as I cant see it! Thanks :)
Emma Quekett Hey Emma, Iâm so glad you found this useful! Congratulations on getting into Bristol thatâs so exciting! When I was in Durdham there was a clothing rack type wardrobe outside of the en suite towards the left of the door. We also had lots of shelving and draws but Iâm not sure if it is the same, your best bet to be 100% sure is to call up accommodation and ask about the details of the room as these can vary per year and room. Hope this was helpful, good luck with moving in x
Very useful, thanks!:) I'm going to Bristol in September and applied for acommodation a few days ago. We had to make 9 choices:)
How exciting! I'm glad you found this helpful x
Hey I've firmed Bristol and I'm planning to start this September. I also get extra time in exams. How does it affect uni exams and how did you let them know about the requirement. Also, great vid btw x
Hey there, thank you! So when applying and firming Bristol you should be sent some information about other arrangements etc, if not definitely email and get in contact explaining so they are aware before term starts. Also I think the only difference is you may be in a different room is really varies per course but you can email and ask them specifically for your course! X
Hi Iâm going to bristol this September, and Iâm going to be living in Durdham. I see the wardrobe is realistically 3 shelves do you advise bringing a clothes rail?
Hello! Congratulations on getting into Bristol and also Durham, Iâm not 100% sure about bringing extra storage in case you do not have enough room. Maybe call up accommodation and double check the storage which will be available in your room to be 100% sure. I hope this was helpful! Best of luck with moving in xx
Iâm going to bristol next year for med and Iâm thinking of applying for hiatt baker but I donât want to be like the only one doing med at Stoke bishop so if you know by any chance (because o know this is a v specific question) where most medics go?
Ishaan Lehal Hiya! Thereâs no particular halls any subjects go at all, itâs all very random and as Stoke bishop has so many halls your bound to find other medics. I knew medics that were in all different halls so I definitely wouldnât worry about that.
Great and helpful vid......would you know if the School of Mathematics has moved to the new building? And halls which are really near say walking distance about 10-15 mins?
Thank you! Iâm glad you found this helpful :) yes mathematics has moved into the new building and it looks amazing. Halls that are 10-15 mins walking distance would probably be the city centre ones such as new Bridewell, Goldney etc. I will he posting a video about the halls very soon so much sure youâre subscribed for when that gets posted! X
Thanks!

Nice video! I wanted to ask if the uni is ethnic especially with south asians and if you stayed in halls for your second and third year
Thank you so much! The uni definitely could be classed as ethnic, especially with the societies they have which encourage diversity and giving people a sense of home away from home. There are a number of societies such as the south Asian society where they put on events, socials etc. I lived in a house and a flat in my second and third year, Iâll be posting videos all about that soon so subscribe to know when I post them!
hey. I've heard that everyone wants to live in SB too, however I can't afford any of the nice rooms here so I have chosen riverside instead. Do you think this will harm my social life?
Lily Williams hey there, not at all. You will find your crowd and your kind of people wherever you live. I know a lot of people who did not live in SB and had the best time. The perks of living in a city centre residence like riverside is your in the heart of the city and so close to everything so it definitely wonât harm your social life as your so local! Hope this helps
@@nicoleveronica4641 Thank you so much!
I'm heading to Bristol uni in Septemeber and I am so nervous, I am ALSO going to study psychology in education so I would be really interested in your experience of that specific course! I live in Exeter and am not sure if I should stay in Bristol in halls or commute in. Could you give an idea of how much time you spent at uni with contact hours?
Hey Olivia, for Psychology in education thereâs minimal contact hours and as the years went on the hours decreased for me but that depends on which modules you pick! This year I had as low as 6 contact hours a week. I think it depends if your happy to commute or not but we have definitely on the lower end when it comes to contact hours! X
Nicole Veronica Thatâs amazing, thank you! So helpful! Itâs a hard decision especially with what is going on right now but thank you so much! X
Olivia Fowler no worries at all! With everything going on right now itâs definitely al a lot harder to decide. Anymore questions or anything donât hesitate to comment/ get in contact x
Bristol is my first choice university for next year and I want to study psychology in education too I havenât studied psychology at a level do you think I would struggle doing the degree?
No not at all, the course is taught for people who havenât done it before so you are taught a lot of the foundations in first year! Donât worry at all!
Iâm still deciding between Aberystwyth and Bristol. Theyâre just so different and Iâm incredibly indecisive
Is there anything, in particular, you would like to know about Bristol? Later this week I will be uploading a video on advice about picking the right university which you might find helpful x
Nicole Veronica thanks! Iâm mainly worried that I just wonât like it there. Iâve never lived in a big city before, would you say that itâs a safe place?
Lauren Jade definitely, I can honestly say I feel super safe in Bristol, more than I actually do at home! As itâs a student city thereâs uni security around most of the time, as well as students and staff so I never really feel unsafe. Bristol was also recently awarded something which is known as a purple flag for being super safe which is nice to knowâșïž!
hey, i loved your personal experience! i was wondering if you had any international friends who have scholarships and such id love to hear it from their perspective too!
Thank you! I will speak to some of my friends who have had scholarships and make a video soon with information about the whole experience. Make sure your subscribed for when that comes out
@@nicoleveronica4641 thank you tons, for sure
hi i wanted to ask how diverse Bristol is? x

Hey there! Thank you so much, in this video czcams.com/video/IU9UwqGx4BU/video.html I discuss diversity in bristol! xx
Hey, Iam joining into bristol 2021 for Ms in Data Science.. Would you recommend me for that course in this uni ?
Hello, I donât know anything about that course so I canât really give an opinion Iâm sorry. However I do recommend checking online at the university website, they have a lot of info on there!
Hey Abhinav, lets connect over LinkedIn sometime. I have similar interests. Would you mind giving your LinkedIn id?
