- I really really really enjoyed my time at Bristol and would not change my University experience for the world 😍 HOWEVER, there were around 4 things about my Uni experience which I was not a fan of 🥲 Here I talk about the things I disliked about the University of Bristol and also about studying Law in general. Hopefully you find this video useful ✨

I'm in my final year of Law atm and I feel like there are so many different career paths available to me that don't get discussed! I am so pleased with the uni I picked because there isn't really this kind of elitism that you mentioned, I feel like I'm more of a big fish in a small pond if that makes sense! Your videos are so helpful and I feel like you give such amazing advice on transitioning into the working world... lifesaver! xxx
Ahhh you're so sweet! So glad to hear your experience has been different - you got this!! xx
Where did you study law?
What career paths did you discover that weren't often discussed? Just curious :)
Thanks very much Simranjeet - this was extremely helpful!
this video will help so many prospective students out there - thank you for your honesty with both the pros AND cons 🙏
I need to fly to Edinburgh, i'm getting dev withdrawals :((((
I want to know what is trainee solicitor, is this when we are in college or when we complete our college
Loved this video. It was a great watch. When did you start uploading on youtube???
Thank you!! Oooo I think it was around 2020??
*university of Bristol wants to know your location*
LOOOOOL - funniest comment award goes to you
😂😂😂😂😂
thanks for this vid I have an unconditional offer from nottingham for law (did my a-levels last year) and waiting for a reply from Bristol to start 2022, thanks for your honesty. If I get accepted into Bristol aswell it will be a hard to choose between the two :/
Congrats on the offer! You've done so well! Both Notts and Bristol are great law schools - as a former Bristol student, I am of course going to be a bit biased ;)
Hey mam
i just want to ask that I am lawyer in india and i have 3 year experience of district court so i want to ask that if i come on spouse visa than can i be able to do job in uk with my experience or my BALLB degree of India will not support me in uk?
Interesting. I studied Law, as an int'l student (from Pakistan) 2008-11, and I agree with quite a lot of what you've said. Some of the lecturers were indeed boring and I always ended up with the worst tutors, just my luck lol. If I could have a do over, I would go somewhere else and come to think of it, study something else, Sociology or Psychology. Ah to be 17 again and get it right!
Studying psychology or sociology would have gained you a useless degree and debt. You’d be working in Starbucks.
@@LevelUP84 No debt, I was fortunate enough to have my parents fund my degree. And I have friends working as psychologists, mega successful and love their jobs.
How was the diversity at uni of Bristol, as i am wanting to go but not sure as there isn't alot of videos with poc at the uni i dont want to feel out of place.
First month here at bristol and can confirm it’s quite diverse here (specifically in the law course). It could be just my seminar groups but you’ll definitely find someone you can click with easily
I personally felt like it could have been more diverse (but I did graduate years ago, so Chantel's opinion is more accurate and recent)! However even though I felt it could be more diverse, I still found my crowd and didn't feel out of place with them :) you'll be okay!!
I’m a foreign qualified lawyer from the Caribbean. I was wondering if GPA at the LLB matters when competing for legal jobs? Or is your grades at the LPC or SQE more important when competing for legal jobs?
In the UK there is no GPA for the LLB, however you will usually need a 1st class or a 2:1 grade to get most legal jobs or training contracts
You made the right choice, no point studying something you are interested in if it leads to nothing. The real world is a competitive tough place. Starbucks has plenty of History and English graduates.
“Another one.” - DJ Khaled
LMAO I'm on a roll!
Please advise me should I go to bristol or Durham for law I'm so confused
Durham, definitely Durham. Magic circle and top US firms prefer it.
