Years ago I had a female coworker that complained that someone like me and other men made more than her (I was 10+ years in and higher up position and she was only at a month) only to turn around and say she would only date those that made twice as much as she did. When called out for this by another female coworker she got mad and eventually moved to another shift due to a "hostile work environment. Women that think like this are just weird.

I remember around 12 years ago my female boss let me know that the employer I was with have raises to all the women in secret, regardless of their quality as an employee. This was in addition to their regular raise AND regardless of whether they were already making more than the males. She was angry about this because we had some slugs working for is that werent worth anything work wise...
And this is where the call for equality becomes favoritism towards women... You cannot change discrimination by discriminating against someone else instead... equality goes both ways. I sincerely hope that one day society will be ready to judge on merit and not gender.

But who knows, maybe in a few hundred years society will be able to let go of the social constructs in regard to gender and simply accept it as the biological thing it actually is, that cannot be used to measure the worth of any individual person, much less the whole collective. But to achieve that, we do not actually need to achieve equality so much as equity. Because equal rights would mean everyone gets the same treatment, without regard of individual circumstances. But individual circumstances matter, because treatment in regard to gender is only one aspect that needs to be considered. See the original post for example. A person should be given a raise in regard to their merit, irrelevant of their gender. But they should get the opportunity to achieve as much as possible. If they don't use said opportunity, that is entirely on them.

An uncle of mine who is very close to me was married for 10 years, he met his ex wife and dated her for a few years before marrying her. Along the way he helped her literally get out of rock bottom financially, paid for her university, bought her a car, and even an apartment in her name. She treated my uncle super well at first, but after she started earning more than him, everything changed, even her personality, she acted like a completely different person. In the end she divorced my uncle and some time later it was discovered that she was engaged to a superior of the company where she worked. Maybe she was even cheating on my uncle for a long time before the divorce. It could even be that this guy in the video is wrong, but as far as I've lived and heard about this subject, what he said is proven in reality. Women who earn more than men start to see them as not worthy of their time.

I mean… there could be a myriad of reasons why that is the case. For example, if a woman makes more money she’s probably not dependent on her husband. Which also means that she doesn’t need to put up with things she doesn’t like, so if she doesn’t like the way the relationship goes she’s free to leave. Many women stay in unhealthy relationships simply because they are dependent on their partner.

My girl easily earns more than me, and I told her, that probably is not gonna change. We've been doing great tho. But I've told my standards, as long as each of us earns more than average person at our age (which should be goal) I don't care who makes more or less, I will work towards what I want to do.

There's also data available from dating apps that showed that male users rated the attractiveness of women on the app in a bell curve as you'd expect, with the average rating on a scale of 1 to 10 actually being slightly higher than 5 if I remember correctly. Essentially a pretty even distribution with the average woman being a "5" in looks. Women who used the app, on the other hand, had the average rating for male attractiveness skewed super low - under 3 IIRC - meaning that statistically speaking they thought that over 7 in 10 men had below average looks.
It's easy to think that men are more shallow when it comes to judging attractiveness - and in some respects that might be true - but the data we've got actually suggests that men are actually way more realistic about it than women. This also has an effect on dating in addition to women's expectations about a man's income, with a woman's income being something that men essentially never give any serious consideration to.

So you would see a bunch of guys that dont use all their potential as 2 points below where they should be.
Similarly women use make up to boost their looks as well as simply spend more time thinking about how to market their looks.
So reality probably hits exactly the bell curve average but due to the above factors it appears as you described.

It is a myth of modern feminism that that is the case (that men/extended family of men expect women to be contributing financial parity). The expectation would be that the women quits because they are taken care of to raise kids, care for house, husband, etc. I've never in my life spoken to a man who was a high earner (I work with a ton) that said they felt their wife wasn't contributing because she didn't earn enough. It's almost always about how they provide in emotional stability, caring for the home, etc. In fact if their wife was working all of the time, they would actually be annoyed that their wife was working when they didn't need to be.

I once dated a Hispanic girl for almost 3 years. Exactly what's happening here in Australia. The salaries for "social services" which are female dominated are sky rocketing under government intervention. Occupations that used to be "on the job training" now require university degrees. Child minding / baby sitting services used to be low cost, low wage jobs in the private sector. Now the whole sector is government subsidised, workers are now "Early Childhood Educators" requiring 3 year uni degrees, 4th year honours plus refresher courses with salaries in the $+70K range. The whole industry is just a slush fund to pass tax payer money to a relatively low skilled job by making it seem it's a really high skilled job with high education requirements. When I went to Kindergarten I would bet none of the employees were fully qualified teachers and they did not need to be, and they still don't.
Also back in 2017 they literally made it so in the military, specifically the airforce, only women could be allowed to join to increase gender equality.

What you don't realize is that it actually isn't the "values and goals that society has instilled in women" that are the problem here. This is the sociologists view; that all human behavior stems from nurtured values via society, and that therefore we can change anything about people if only we give them the correct propaganda. This would be a nice, utopian view where we could create the perfect, peaceful society in life if only we educated people 'correctly', unfortunately it is totally at odds with reality. The truth is society is an offshoot of nature - of biology, and all of its survival instincts. People are afraid of the dark because of a millions of years old instinct. They're scared of height because of the same. And women want to bang guys who are in the top 99% height percentile for the same reason. What society _can_ do - and had done for millennia prior to feminism eradicating it - was restrain these instincts through social constraints. IE, women not allowed to work, not allowed to vote, not allowed to get divorced for BS reasons, etc. Feminism told us that everything would be better if you took the cage off of the beast of nature and let women run free and become 'strong and independent', and what society is - with dismal slowness - beginning to realize, is that nature is an ugly thing, capricious, mean and uncaring. It is the snake that swallows a terrified baby mouse alive. The only thing nature rewards is survival of ones genes, and usually that is accomplished by being the most nasty, cruel, greedy, gluttonous son of a B. in the land. In essence; brutality and evil. If a society has any value at all it is in the ability to restrain that underlying evil, not to unleash it. We have ignored and derided the wisdom of our ancestors and are now reaping what we have sown.

Before I decided to get a degree (not finishing until age 30), I worked so many different places over the course of years, all these jobs like $20/hr, in trash conditions, near homeless coworkers, or just straight up slaves. These people take these horrible jobs and it eats at their f'ing souls, commuting either way too early in the morning, or way too late at night, single, lonely, depressed, health deteriorating, over and over, how low class can you be... I guess I was somehow "too humble" to see how bad it was, I went to rehab while working in a warehouse... I liked this job, like $22/hr (horrible!), I worked super hard, it's what I always did at every job, and I brought these dumps up a little bit, really, I had strength and energy where no one else had any left... I developed a drinking problem, because outside of work there's nothing, just directionlessness, don't really have energy to do anything productive, and all my friends were losers... In rehab, I told this like 19-year-old what I did, "I work in a warehouse..." and this 19-year-old drug addict, probably dead now, looks at me and he's like "you can do better than a warehouse." I'm like wtf is wrong with working at a warehouse, it never even occurred to me that it was so low class that even a kid knows to stay tf away from it. It is slavery I realized, it's obvious too... Now I'm even a slave, but not as so full-fledged. Like $22/hr ya it's exactly enough to live paycheck to paycheck in a crappy one bedroom apt 45minutes away for a reason. I'm not a conspiracy theorist either, like idk wtf is going on at the top, I think people are just really bad at managing large societies, problem with everyone voting is that everyone is voting, etc. It's just what capitalism is, it worked at first because of slavery and it still works because of it now. I think that this dynamic is slowly changing. My gf makes more money than me and is further along in her career, and it made me really insecure for a while. Eventually when I expressed some insecurity about it, she made it kind of clear that she was only really annoyed by the fact that it bothered me. Eventually things'll get better, but it's gonna be a long time before people reconcile with the internal inconsistencies of their world views.

I think people need to realize they don't have a basic human right to get a partner. If it doesnt work out and you're alone for most of your life, it's not anyone's fault.
