In Rajasthan's Dolphur region, once plagued by banditry due to water scarcity, a remarkable transformation has occurred. Dr. Rajendra Singh, known as the "Water Man of India," spearheaded this change with indigenous water management techniques. His team collaborated with local communities to rebuild traditional water structures, replenishing underground aquifers and restoring wells. This community-driven initiative, independent of government aid, relied on trust and collective effort. The local bandits turn in their guns for shovels and become guardians of water. This short film tells the story of water as a healer and unifying force.
This film is a beautiful account of the remarkable journey of a region that once grappled with violence induced by water stress, and has now embraced peace through decentralized water retention and natural agriculture. The community's commitment to harmonizing with nature has led to extraordinary changes, primarily by harnessing the seasonal monsoons to rehydrate the earth. Community efforts throughout this region have brought water back to more than 250,000 wells, rejuvenated 9 rivers, and even reduced temperatures by 2 degrees.
From Violence to Peace: Experience the peaceful and prosperous results of a region that used to be destitute and violent. Due to water stress and scarcity people had no way to provide for their families. Some migrated, others resorted to violence to survive. Years later these same people turned over their arms and asked for forgiveness, as they were now peaceful farmers.

In a previous incarnation, (hundreds of years ago), I was also a bandit, not for a lack of water, but for a lack of money. In that life, I was shot and killed during a robbery. I have a birthmark on my back that looks like a gunshot wound, and I have scars on my liver. In this life, I am a Christian, God sent me back to be a Christian and to pay for some karma. I live on my farm and when I moved here, there was no running water in the valley. I have been working on the catchment and now, for many months of the year, there is a flowing creek in the valley! There is also a deep dam that I put in, at the bottom of my land, and I planted a garden at the foot of it.
God is helping me to do good and not evil on this Earth, and it makes me happy that I have been given the wisdom to do this work!
    God Bless!
