  • This might be basic knowledge for a lot, but there are players who weren't able to play around the character select UI so they don't know how to import their character's design automatically in the benchmark. Well, here you go :)

funfact: it also automatically imports 1.0 characters if you still have 1.0 on your computer, for some reason

Best easter egg is if you set your time to April 1st there's a chance you'll be hildy in the benchmark

I backed up my character data, but it isn't appearing in the benchmark. I followed this video exactly. Does anyone know a solution?

For anyone else having the same problem: you have to copy the save character data files to the benchmark folder and slightly rename them. I watched another tutorial video that helped me figure it out: "How to put YOUR CHARACTER in the Dawntrail Benchmark! [FFXIV 7.0 Dawntrail]"

I wonder/doubt if the benchmark has the 'upgraded graphics' files for options that are not available through the default character creation. I imported my character like this but the hairstyle I'm using is a store haircut, and it does not look improved at all. For whatever clothes will be updated, I'm almost certain the benchmark does not have those files, but for character hairstyles I wonder why they wouldn't be included already. Then again I don't know why they don't allow us to use paid hairstyles in an offline benchmark tool either, so who knows.
Right now best I can do is cope and tell myself it's just not in the benchmark files.

It’s an app you can download on PC to gauge how well your PC can handle the new Dawntrail graphics, you can make a character and watch a trailer with them in it

That's what all the casuals and the hornies from Balmung are looking for so of course Square will be pandering to the bigger portion of the "player"base, even though they're the ones who aren't playing half of it to begin with... There's a reason they're called $quare €nix
