I find this very interesting and wonder if this can be implemented using a P15V330 multiplexer driving two IF preamps which is driven via a Johnson counter at f0+10.7mhz*4 which then drives a phasing combiner at 10.7mhz which can be demodulated using an AM detector or a FM demodulator and if it works as promised should get rid of all sproggies and image frequencies and their sproggies and makes me think that this is the perfect down-converting mixer.
