      Leave elections to the States? There are states that are currently writing and passing legislation that allows them to replace the officials who run the elections with partisan representatives. You want to corrupt elections, allow what's happening RIGHT NOW to continue. There are states, who are right now appointing people (partisan) and giving them the power to overturn election results with NO PROOF of fraud or a breach of election integrity required. Basically indicating that if someone doesn't like the election results, they can toss them out. You really think that's not being done ON PURPOSE!!! When States aren't looking out for ALL of their voters, the federal government has a DUTY to step in and make elections fair for EVERYONE.

      An overall comment...
      The Democrats feel that the way things are currently going with the changes to state laws in Republican-controlled states, it leans voting heavily in favor of Republicans (who are not the majority, btw), and it's being done unfairly (based on color, socioeconomic status, educational status, etc.). I believe that the party supported by the majority of the people should comprise the leadership of the country. IF the majority of the voters support the democratic philosophies of government, they should lead (and more importantly, be allowed to lead). If the majority of the voters support the republican philosophies, they should lead (and be allowed to lead). If a democratic government is elected over and over, so be it. If a republican government is elected over and over, so be it. The only reason that there is an effort to provide VERY basic guidelines for voting is so that every state has a baseline of requirements that are "alike", so elections will have a basic level of consistency, which makes them fairer, particularly in federal elections. The reason that this is a high priority for Democrats is that they believe that everyone should have the ability to vote (across politics, economic status, educational status, etc.). The high level of prioritization comes from the fact that the Trump Republicans (note that I DO NOT include all "republicans") in effect, tried to overthrow a fair election. Also, note that the leadership (of both the democratic and republican parties) in this country are very much aware of the truth, and those unwilling to support what they KNOW to be true are pathetic. THAT is why this is such a high priority.
      Providing minimum, very basic, and across-the-board guidelines for elections is NOT "running" elections. It is simply making sure that every person, no matter where they live, their economic status, their educational status, etc.) has fair and equal access to voting and that the basic standards for voting hold equal footing everywhere. This wouldn't be a necessary action if those simple expectations were being met by all states within the U.S., on their own. What makes it okay for any state (seriously, Democratic or Republican) to overthrow an election just because they don't like it? Please explain why is it that states identified as Democratic aren't updating their election laws to give permission to officials to overthrow election results? What would Republicans be doing right now if they had won the presidential election and the Democratic states began changing their laws, removed Republican officials from office, and made it possible for their newly appointed partisan officials to overthrow election results - without proof of fraud or a breach in election integrity? I'm sincerely not looking for an argument. I'm looking for someone to provide me with a rational response. A REAL response.

      I know. It's a shame. Most of mankind will end up in Hell. And it's their own fault. People refuse to believe in the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
      2Cor_4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
      2Co_11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
      Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
      Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
      Getting saved is simple. So simple a child can do it, and many do. Jesus said:
      Mat 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
      Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
      Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
      Just humble yourself and acknowledge to God that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior. Ask him for eternal Life. Then put ALL your trust and Faith into Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.
      Most people are trusting in themselves to get to Heaven. Problem is you, me, are sinners. If you are trusting in a sinner for salvation, well, then you are going to get what a sinner deserves. And it ain't Heaven.
      Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
      Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
      Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
      Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
      Salvation is by grace through Faith, not works.
      Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
      Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
      Who pays for a Gift? the giver or the receiver?
      You get saved ONE time. and you cannot lose it. If God gives unto you eternal life today how long does that last? And if he comes back later when you mess up and takes it back FOR ANY REASON, was it ever eternal life?
      Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began
      Once you are saved, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit, God cannot go back on his word, he cannot go against himself. He is an Holy God. Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundations of the world were even laid. You know why? because Jesus saying that he would die for mankind's sin's even before the world was created was just as good as him doing it at a later date. He cannot lie. Salvation is the reason for everything, it is the reason for creation itself. Straight from the very heart of God himself.
      Eph_1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
      Salvation is a love story from Genesis to Revelation. Genesis opens up with Adam and Eve. A husband and a wife. A love scene. And it ends in Revelation with the words, "And the Spirit and Bride say come."

      If you are a saved child of God, you MUST preach the Gospel unto every creature. Please. People are dying and going to Hell every day. Persuade them to be saved!
      Pro_11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
      Jud 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
      Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
      Tell them there is a HELL! put the fear of God in them!

We could easily reach 8-10% before the year is over.

I don’t know what country it is but when you vote in that country there’s a die put on your thumb showing that you already voted once and that sounds like a great idea now for the USA to have Diet on their farm but to be able to run the last four of your Social Security number into a system then it should bring up names with the last 4 numbers and show a photo.

The System has been working great for over two centuries. We the People just need to recognize the power the Constitution gives us. We the People are the ones that grant power to our Democracy and our Government.
      WE are flawed if we don't do our job as responsible voters. THAT is the problem. Look at New York. The State and City are being destroyed by politicians that were voted into positions of power. THAT is the flaw. Not the system. Cuaomo and de Blasio are abusing the trust and power that was given to them.

So, the official asked to see my I.D. and I showed it to him. Then I went to the machine and voted.
    It's so easy. And to get a voter I.D. is easy if you don't have a drivers license. Our republican politicians have even stated that the government will pay for the I.D.
