    //
    Dear Michael,
    I am from Germany and I am a mechanical engineer as well as a master vehicle technology engineer. I love your channel!!! Actually I am not a CZcams person at all :) but I look forward to every new broadcast from you. I always find your positive nature, your determination as well as your excellent expertise motivating and fascinating. I have rarely seen such professional work from a garage! Some of your videos I have watched umpteen times :) Here's an idea: I work a lot myself on quads, motorcycles and the like, preferably on two-stroke engines. Now I have started a new project some time ago: a YAMAHA RAIDER jet ski. Super exciting technology. Very similar to quads but so different and also a two-stroke engine. Maybe this would be a future project. Many greetings from Düsseldorf, Germany :)

Trail tech are awesome spedos and tachs. I used to use them with midbike racing. Everyone knows when you get as thorough as a rebuild as you that you will never seen your money back. It's all about the smiles per thumb rip. Solid video keep up the good work sir!

    We are a family of having the most personal quads owned between my wife, 3 daughters, and myself. First, the posse of blasters in the mix is what makes up most of our collection mind blowing!! The next step and one that I would recommend to ANYONE with a blaster is to get a PWK 39mm carb and convert it to ALKY!! It’s the CHEAPEST 15-20% increase in power across the chart and alcohol is way cheaper than race gas!! U will be amazed and it feels like riding a stk banshee and almost 1/2 the weight!! Good LUCK and ENJOY ALL!
    NOTE: If my 3 daughters (12yrs,18yrs old, 21yrs,) can tame a 240 BB on ALKY and from a lot of seat time, the two oldest are on no bar, full LSR chassis, 300ft sand draggers!

    I have to agree with your assessment at the end regarding how long it takes to do certain things. I took Auto Body class in my last years of high school in the late 90's early 2000's. I can say that even though I never got to work in a body shop professionally like I hoped for that the average customer wanting their car paint freshened up or redone completely have absolutely no clue what goes in to doing paint CORRECTLY. Especially if they're wanting paint that glistens like a show car and expecting to get it for nothing.
    My Auto instructor was awesome. He was old school and believed the books the state tried making us learn from were useless. For him it was hands-on or nothing. Because there's only so much you can read in a book and get the idea of what to do. In order to get good you had to actually do it. Before we even got to touch a spray gun we had to learn panel prep which involved sanding, pounding out small dents, using body filler scarcely and using your eyes to examine things closely. He gave us old fenders and hoods to practice on.
    It would take us hours just sanding the panels to bare metal, pounding out dents, doing body filler if needed and sanding it uniform before we could even think about spraying on a primer coat. For me the way the instructor taught was great because I'm not fast and will never make myself fast for anyone. I want the job done properly the first time. But it also has its' drawbacks as there's a lot of things I want to do that I never get around to doing. Because for me if I can't do the job correctly I would rather not do it at all than do it half assed. Sadly in order to do things correctly it requires a lot of money and a place to do it which I have neither of. :P
    But I've been slowly gathering tools here and there as I'd really like to get back into painting. A good enough air compressor that can run a spray gun is the most expensive thing to get IMO. Plus it needs a safe place to go as well and I don't have a garage. A cheap enclosed car port should work for starters. :)

    I bought a 2000 Blaster when my son decided to race 50s and 65s so I could ride with him. Even being over 200lbs I raced this quad and had a great at time doing it!.With the 250 kit and suspension upgrades I can't wait to see what you can do with it

    I miss the old 90s blaster days back when I was 14,15...and even if you're an adult under 200 and put an extended swingarm, wheel spacers, and pipe/silencer combo you can have fun all day long and keep up with practically anything in the woods.

      I agree; suspension is a must for keeping up though - learned this yesterday on a rocky trail ride; thing beats you up big time!

    I really love the breakdown list of the parts on the builds. You have to build a 1988-1992 Suzuki lt250r. Some of us guys needs parts that can't be sourced anymore. I really believe if you would build one some of these guys may start making parts again. Please do a quadracer build. You have already built a quadzilla, a honda 250r, and a banshee. Wish you would finish out the 2 stroke quads. I'm sure people would love to see a tecate built and I know I want to see you build a quadracer. Thanks for the videos man.

    I'm doing a complete rebuild on my 06 blaster for my 5 year old son def not gna be done in the time u did but a few months hopefully, just gna be on a budget for the build. The Chinese to end won't bother me cause kids aren't gna be rippin to hard at 5yr old, I will a lil bit but gna be for him. Let us no the money u had to put into it to get to this point. U did an amazing job, love the blasters, just a fun lil quad

  • @jmaxim80
    @jmaxim80 Před rokem +1

    Mike, she sounded good, my friend, I have a blaster myself, and they rip also they are a blast to ride. As far as the total cost, if you exclude your labor, you basically have a brand new quad for 6 grand or so. I dont know what they cost brand new nowadays, but that doesn't sound too bad to me because you have performance parts, plus it has a unique design, which is sweet. So all in all I think you're doing alright. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait for the competition and to see what's in store for the next project.

    • @MichaelSabo

      Thank you man! The new TRX250X from Honda is probably the closest thing available anymore - they're $5300 MSRP. Probably close to 6k after taxes and fees. This Blaster is definitely a faster unit though, I can guarantee!

    Micheal, I built a 04 Blaster all stock but.... VForce 4 reeds and total night and day difference. So damn snappy and the power is a world of difference even with my stock pipe. I watched and listened to the quad you rode and yup, have to get the VForce 4. It will totally wake that thing up like a mini banshee. Trust me on this. I did all the deltes like you did too btw.

    • @MichaelSabo

      Really cool to hear this feedback! I wanted to do VForce so badly this first time around. I plan to upgrade the reeds with the 240 kit!

    To answer the question at the end of the video about the cost of labor, I would say around 14-15 thousand to replicate what you did. I worked at a Honda powerhouse and when jobs like this came up they charged a very pretty penny. But sometimes you take a loss because we can’t factor in somethings that get in the away such as a stripped bolt or a bearing that’s stuck, love the video I’ll be back for more

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  Před rokem

    I’m loving this build I have a 04 blaster and can’t say enough about how fun it is to rip. Mine does make the same knocking slapping noise wasn’t sure if it was the rod bearing going bad or is that a normal sound you can hear it at 6:45 in this video.
    Anyway your videos are top notch!!!🔥🔥🤘🤘

      That specific spot of the video, the zinging sound I'm assuming you're referring to after I come off of full throttle? When coming off of a high RPM run, and coming almost completely off the gas but not pulling in the clutch, you are back loading the engine as its still spinning at high RPMs from the wheels pushing it over but it is only receiving a small amount of fuel causing a lean spot which causes those zing sounds on the come down; it is not detonation.
