Think about it: a merry band of plucky female space Marines sent out to destroy Xenomorph hives, but once this elite multiracial band of experts (they're REALLY smart) find the queen, they realize that through their combined knowledge and skills that they can learn the real story. Queen Xenomorph is a strong willed woman that didn't need a yajuta predator in their life anymore and so she ended their relationship and has been destroying everything to prove just how capable she really is. It's a good thing that these space marines know what a girl really needs, so they bust out their mimosa canteens and gather round Queenie to have some serious girl talk. Turns out Queenie doesn't have to commit genocide to show her skills and power because the real strength comes from within, although acid blood does seem to help. Queenie was made an honorary member of the ladies squad and now they travel through space helping women take back the power regardless of species. Sorry guys, this is a female only operation. It's a shame you couldn't see that. Perhaps you don't remember the episodes that dealt with Teela being the next Sorceress, or Orko's backstory?
All Netflix had to do was learn from Terminator: Dark Fate.
You don't get to kill off the person that has been the main character for the franchise for 30+ years in the first 20 minutes and expect fans NOT to be angry about you "subverting expectations".
There are many many examples of what not to do. The problem is it's the only trick they have. You realize at a certain point that the woke Netflix adaptation scripts are just how they see the world. They consume woke content, and produce it. They live in a safely curated bubble so it's all they understand. In their minds literally the only reason someone wouldn't like their show is because they're an evil (name your buzzword). It's sad really to see their cancer spread.

He man got "killed off" in the fist episode (yeah he returns in episode 5) and the story is more about Teela and the rest of the master of the universe trying to unfuck the universe by retrieving two halves of the power sword that got split up in episode 1 and thereby unfucking the universe.
As a guy who only grew up with He man reruns and doesn't have a real atachment for it, my feelings about this new series is pretty meh.
It has verry good voice talent, music, decent script, it's fine.
But i get that people are pissed because they were promissed a He man show with the netflix trailer and got a story about the side kicks.
And oh yeah the "cardinal sin".........teela got some basic arm muscles, she got an edgy side cut and she's got a female friend, just a friend.

@@MacAndCheeseXD nah it's alright He-man is in every episode but just in flash backs. If you don't need He-man in every second of the show don't watch it. Teela can be a little annoying and there's some dodgey writing but nothing terrible. The new character gets a weird exposition dump and she does nothing for the rest of the show besides ask "what's that" for new people to the series. Overall it's ok, nothing special.

It's kinda weird having no attachment to He-Man as a child, and seeing the internet blow up over it until a Flashgitz animation is made for me to enjoy as an adult.
i think a lot of the He-man reverence is mostly there as a sort of appreciation of the character as a culture icon, because i cant for the life of me see why any one enjoyed the actual tv show.
Same. The slightest attachment I have to He-Man is due to the 2001 remake, but even then I don’t remember all that much. Although I can somewhat understand why the fans got upset.
Honestly I don't think the Netflix show is awful, it's rather ok. Nothing fantastic, but harmless for what it is so far.

Notice the second silent bob stepped into frame when Skeletor had the sword, the magic left.
That was so much better than Netflix
He-Man protected Castle Greyskull for 200 episodes and it never once fell on his watch, Teela takes over for less than 5 episodes and Skeletor becomes the master of the universe, nuff said lol.

Rowan is a OG legend of tv comedy. Blackadder which was pre Bean is hilarious . Mr Bean is his homage to the silent cinema stars Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin . IT is so good. Then years later some guy is like , lets copy that into a cartoon. The animation was ..awful . everything good is lost in translation and who asked for thar. MAKE NEW THINGS

The dumbest thing about that is that on the cartoon they say "with Rowan Atkinson" when he's mostly silent, and you can't see him since he's been replaced by a cartoon *snorts* so you basically have 0.1 percent of his performing the character... it's a complete joke man, I feel your pain.
This is way funnier and awesome than it should be. Theres a million times more entertainment value, art, and joy in this, than anything Kevin Smith has ever touched.

Star Trek's "The City on the Edge of Forever" vs Star Wars' "A New Hope" - both involve struggles against evil empires, but I hardly see them as the same story.

The best thing about the new show by far was Mark Hamill voicing Skeletor. It’s a crime how little screen time he has.
That’s part of the reason I stopped watching it. I was hoping for a jojo type reboot of the franchise

IDW was good until around the mid 2010s, Devastation was 6 years ago and was fun, Bumblebee from almost 3 years ago was good, Cyberverse Season 2 had a few good moments 2 years ago, the first arc of season 3 was good, and the rest of the season could have been good if it wasn't for the episodes being short, the ongoing IDW comics has some good moments (If going by the vain of Bludgeon and Airachnid, the character design would be borderline great, than instead of using the toy designs), the new Beast Wars IDW comics are good (style is debatable) Kingdom was better than it had any right to be (it helps if you don't look at the beast formers as the ones from Mainframe, but as what had become of the Autobot-Decepticon War.)
