This is an amazing insight. Especially the Psalms 78 analogy.

Tithe is holy to the Lord and it should be returned because it belongs to Christ.

Wait, are we to tithe 10% or 15%?

There's no such thing as a biblical monetary tithe. We are free to give as we are able but not bound to pay as many would have us believe.

disagree......tithing according to the OT Mosaic law was 23.5% and only farmers and herdsman tithed and NO others were required to...…..then we have that there were three tithes and 5 offerings......also tithing was on a 7 year cycle and the 6th yr you had to double up and the 7th yr there was NO tithe period so that land could rest....which means tithing was always FOOD produce and NEVER money based on weekly paychecks...tithing in the OT to Malachi was the PRIESTS who were in trouble nd NOT the people...…….

how can we say we want to be like abraham or be a part of the blessings of abraham, yet do not do what abraham did. abram tithed before the law. abram gave tithes to Melchizedek, and we are told in hebrews that Christ is our Melchizedek. the only reason that Christ would be our Melchizedek would be to receive tithes. as for the substance that abram tithed, it was the spoils of war, which Melchizedek made clear was given to him by God. the spoils of war would be many things, including gold and silver. do you think abram would go to battle and defeat four kings and their men and then only bring back some goats and vegetables? we are also told in proverbs 3:9 "Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase."

@@healthyamerican my point is that theres not ONE preacher who teaches tithing correctly according to the bible and the way moses described.....and its NOT 10% its 23.5 and then what about offerings ????….preachers never include them and what they should be...
