I liked Doogal when I saw it. I thought the all star cast of comedians were fun. Not sure how it stands up, it's been years since I've seen it though. Too bad it was such a negative experience for all involved. If only we had a new Danny Phantom feature film. If the Teen Titans can do it... Butch can too!

Ok here's an idea Has anyone heard of the anime ghost stories? It was a boring and unremarkable anime in Japan, so when an American dubbing company got it, they decided too completely, throw out the Japanese dialogue and they rewrote it as a hard r comedy. As a result it has become a cult classic in the anime community. It's a shame that they didn't do that to Doogal.
Funnily enough the French TV series this was based on was redubbed for the UK in English, but they completely rewrote the script and it became a cult classic.

Was literally just talking about Doogal earlier today!! I had the ending scene stuck in my head where they play "Mr. Blue Sky" and couldn't think of the name of the movie. I LOVED this movie growing up. It was on repeat every night. I had to fall asleep watching this movie.
I watched the original Magic Roundabout movie on DVD during my childhood and didn’t find it boring. I saw clips from Doogal and really didn’t like them.
It was definitely Weinstein's idea to swap out the voice actors apart from Kylie and Ian Mckellen. And i'm willing to bet that Chevy Chase (the train's voice actor) hated it.
Hope another future oppurtunity rolls around for you soon. The entertainment industry really needs more people like you. Mature, reasonable, and brutally honest. And one question: If you were to make a full length feature animated film, would you do it hand drawn, or CGI?
That's really bizarre to imagine, them slapping your name onto a final product you almost had nothing to do with, and the product being nothing like you rewrote. Could potentially be dangerous to one's career.
I remember that movie it was about a dog traveling around to get some crystals. Had no clue about the merry-go-round aspect though like yeah there was a merry-go-round but I never thought much of it specifically.
Always have an idea so you can have one of the most unpleasant experiences in your life and make a movie that makes everyone watching it feel that experience as well.
To me Doogal is one of those movies that I forget about and then it will randomly cross my mind and I'm like "....oh yeah, that movie exists". I never saw it but it holds in my memory as, ironically, one of the most obscure and forgettable movies, Call Of The Wild from 05 or 06 is there too.
