    Materials list (with my affiliate links):
    - Glass or plastic ornaments -- I used 2.5" (70mm) size, but you could definitely go larger
    - Fine or extra fine glitter
    - One of these adhesives: Polycrylic ( get it here: amzn.to/2QBXylw ), Glitter-It! (get it here amzn.to/2DX9SWW ) , or Mop and Glo (get it here: amzn.to/2rjuUHS) -- I recommend Polycrylic for the best coverage
    - Adhesive vinyl (get it here amzn.to/2KSFGOg )
    - Transfer tape (get it here: amzn.to/2EaaTf8 )
    - A way to cut and score your vinyl (I used the amazing Cricut)
    - My free SVG/DXF/PDF cut files/patterns (Design #115) (available in my free resource library at jennifermaker.com/resource-li... )

    Hi Jennifer, I have had my Cricut for almost 5 years (Expression before the Air 2) with a part-time business. I think we are always learning when it comes to these machines. Just when we think we have it all figured out something new comes out! That's what makes it fun!
    I do want to thank you because all this time later and I've learned things from your last 2 or 3 videos that I didn't know. Thank you and keep up the awesome work!

    Thanks for a video with all 3 methods together.
    I like putting my polycrylic into the condiment ( ketchup and mustard) squeeze bottles from the dollar store. I also let the polycrylic dry just until it turns clear, and I find I get a more even coat with less glitter.

    After a few years of doing the glitter ornaments I found the polycrylic holds the test of time without the ornaments loosing their look. I also just found a trick for pouring it. I put it into a new dollar store condiment bottle to store. It has that ketchup too so it’s SUPER EASY to use and store. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS

      Thank you for the tips! I've also heard (since I made my video) that polycrylic will hold up the best over time. I'll take a look at these ornaments in a year to see how they are doing, too!

    Firstly, I want to say your videos are very interesting and I appreciate seeing the comparisons that you make. I do have a tip (as someone who has been working with vinyl since 1995). It's easier to just change the colors of everything to black (or white or whatever) on your page before you press make it. This way you don't have to move everything to the same mat (which takes three times the amount of time). You can still place your colors how you want to your mat so moving them after the fact is just more work. You can also just click select all and then attach. When doing it this way you can't make further adjustments on the mat so make sure that the spacing is already how you want it if you decide to go that route.

    • @gentryluz
      @gentryluz Před 3 lety

      What does Maria mean, change all the colors to black or white before you press do you dont have to move everything to the same mat

    • @ashleyrozalowsky9171
      @ashleyrozalowsky9171 Před rokem

      @@gentryluz if you have different colours the machine wants you to use different mats. Keeping it all "one colour" just means you use one mat, but you have to put the colour vinyl in the proper place if you want a different colour than that "one" colour

      I started with a silhouette, I just got my cricut maker. And I may get voted off the island for saying this, but I do not Like cricut vinyl. I have always purchased Oracle 651 and the only time I have had an issue with it is when I am cutting something very, very little. Or if my blade is dull. Cricut vinyl is so hard to work with or at least it was in my Sil. Cameo. Plus I purchase my vinyl in larger quantities and the cricut is just too expensive. I had to buy some cricut HTV over the Christmas break out of desperation and it seemed to do ok. But I had to pay way more than I’m used to.

    I think I'll make each of my six grandchildren an ornament for their Christmas trees this year. I'm relatively new to many things on Cricut BUT your tutorials are very helpful. I'll be saving this video to reference while making all twelve ornaments. What?! YES TWELVE! Memaw has to have each kid's name on her tree too! 😉 Thanks 🎄

    I really like these glitter ornaments, I'm going to do the same for Easter with clear plastic eggs.

    I like to use polycrylic. I use a syringe to put it in the ornament. Thank you for these videos. I’ve learned a lot from them.

    If I had not watched your videos before even using my explore air 2, I would have not even dreamed you could cut out designs like this. I have been stuck in my house for the whole of the pandemic and the Cricut and your videos saved my sanity. I love to create and I thank you so much for your tutorial videos!! Happy Holidays to you and yours 💞

    These are adorable! I love the Santa Cam; the personalized Snowflakes but I must say the Grinch cam is my favorite because of course I am the original classic Cindy Lou!

    Pledge revive it works best! No discoloration with lighter glitters.
