  • It's that time of year again here in the UK ... midge season is upon us. If your horse suffers from sweet itch you will probably be noticing issues already. In today's video I will be sharing how we go about managing the condition.
I've put a few links below in case anyone is looking for a starting point for products to try (absolutely not an exclusive list). Some products I've linked are ready to use, some will require a little work (I like to mix my own shampoos and fly sprays) ... if you're unsure, I'd always advise purchasing something that's ready to use.

My friend started giving aloe Vera juice in feed last year and helped lots and I no other friends who have given antihistamines which also made big difference.
Red horse sweet oil good for itchy areas and promoting hair re growth. Hope your horses don't suffer to much this summer with it.

Thank you for sharing ... I would never have thought of giving aloe vera in feed. I'm going to have to research this 💕

Finally got round to watching your sweetitch video! Laughed so much when i saw the state of his rug at the start 😂Unfortunately the injection didn't help Angel at all to be honest but we are winning big time with the new combination of the snuggy hoods bug body and the nettex summer freedom salve which has literally saved her skin and my sanity. Killed my bank balance but happy horse happy owner and all that 😂😂

That rug has lasted a whole year to be fair! I'm going for real life and honesty over here 🤣
