Oh yea Tatoy's is amazing indeed! Iloilo is the best, my wife is Ilonggo was lucky enough to have our wedding in Iloilo city a few years ago. We were just there October 2019, my wife took me to another restaurant called "Breakthrough" like Tatoy's its on the beach, live seafood fresher than fresh, the service was way better than Tatoy's food is also insanely good, if you guys are still in iloilo we highly recommend "Breakthrough", oh yea, if you go save some room for Halo Halo, best Halo Halo ever there! Enjoy, have fun stay safe!
WHOLEY SHEET..did mike just use the spoon as a knife..dude your officially part filipino!!good job so flawlessly executed..👍👍👍
Yes missing my home town . That's good you tried the best of ilonggo dishes .Explore more of iloilo .The city has a great achievement and one of the clearest city. Try to go to isla higantes or try to visit Andana resort in guimaras island. You will also see some of old Spanish churches in iloilo explore more and enjoy
9:43 that is young tamarind leaves.Used for cooking to make your food taste sour.
thank you for letting us know :)
In tagalog (local language) dahon ng sampalok (tamarind leaves)
I've been to Tatoy's place in Iloilo. The food there is so good. Oysters are one of my favorites there. I'm glad to see your reactions at that place.
As soon as I arrive in Iloilo from the airport we go straight to Tatoys to eat because it’s a routine and tradition , NAMIT GID KAAYO Basta ilonggo food the best gid ya .
Tatoy's is a tradition for any Ilonggo homecoming. Families like mine head straight to Tatoy's from the airport and again, right before leaving the city. Every single time. Lol
Tatoys is a rip off -15,000 php for family of 5 - you can eat more and better at Milas for 2,000
@@Renaissanceman86 What did y'all order and how much of each? There are usually 10-15 of us and we never spend more than 6,000. And we still have enough left for takeaway. Yes, it's one of the more pricey restaurants, but it never gets that expensive. We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday there and the package good for 50 people cost us 32,000. And that includes a 2-tiered theme cake, giveaways/mementos, and the entire setup- decorations, sound system, lights, and the whole kaboodle.
Iloilo has delicious food!
Welcome to the culinary center of the south. Iloilo.
I want to go back to the Philippines... You give me a reason Mike and nilly always to love my country.... I love you both of you
awww so happy to hear :)
Thanks for featuring my hometown with its unique flavors. Every time I visit, the classic Tatoy’s restaurant is my go to place. I miss it. My next visit will be with my wife who has never been to my hometown.

So yummy food! I would agree on the chicken taste and its native chicken they use not the once we see in the grocery. I love all the food you ordered and making me hungry again after dinner here. Just keep up the good work, always stay awesome and be positive all the time.
I love Tatoys.. Been there last September. The foods were amazingly good 😊😊.. Been watching your vlog since 2019..
Try also the Iloilo batchoy. Sarap.
Oh my.... So envy... Anyways they also use some estiwitis (hope i spell it right hahaha) which makes it yellow in the chicken It's a small circle and has a color of an orange.
I’m on a 30-day diet. So far, I’ve lost 15 days. That's so yummy!!

Guys, I'm so hungry at this moment and it's almost midnight. I'm craving for the shrimp 😭 and you guys using some tagalog words was very adorable ❤
It makes me happy and proud whenever you guys try to say some Tagalog words. Haha so cute! Stay safe guys ✨✨✨✨
learning step by step :)
How I wish you ordered their grilled fish and kinilaw (ceviche)!!! I'm really happy that you enjoyed Iloilo!
i feel hungry just watching you enjoying the savory foods of iloilo.love your vlogs.take care and GOD bless
You’re correct there.. ilonggo flavor is usually mild and we love it like that. Just original chicken flavor enhanced with salt, pepper, tamarind.. minus the heavy seasonings..
try also another local fave.. KBL ( kadios, baboy, langka)
Enjoy!
Also We use “batwan “ to make our soups sour... usually not used in Luzon dishes
Thank you for loving Iloilo, Proud to be ilongga🥰
U made me hungry guys😬😬🤤🤤
Usually the seafoods are mostly from roxas. Breakthrough is known for best seafoods in Iloilo as well. Don’t forget to try molo soup the best. Enjoy guys
I love watching your vlogs guys
Iloilo is awarded as ASEAN Clean Tourist City award and also known as, Where the past is always present because of the old churches and houses that was preserved til now.
You can discover more of here in Iloilo.
You can taste good and delicious food only here in Philippines.
Nice seeing you both Mike and Nelly eating "Manok" of Tatoys.
Enjoy and have fun!
My fave seafood resto in Iloilo. Everytime I visit my family we always come here. :)
we had no idea they have so many branches :D
they have 2 more branches, the main one is near a beach then the other one just outside the airport. :) hope to meet you guys soon there so I could tour you around my city. Or I might bump in with you guys here in Manila. :) if you need more great places to visit in Philippines I’m happy to help.
Tatoy's is my family's favorite restaurant too. The original is the one near the beach. We used to go there as college students. The one at the Atria is fairly new. When it first opened, I've been trying for 2 days to book for a table with no success. I haven't been to the airport location.
Yummy. the oyster comes with Nido milk as what the waiter said. Nido is a milk brand. I'm hungry now. 😁
Love you guys, hope meeting you soonnn 😊
I am craving now while watching your vids .that is tamarind leaves.
Tatoy's kinilaw is also amazing... its very amazing

Tatoys is very popular here in Iloilo city, same with Breakthrough restaurant, you should try eating there next time guys

Mmm looks so good n im so hungry right now 👍
You guys are making me hungry LOL. The oyster must’ve been mixed with cheese and some cream like mayonnaise, looks like something you’ll find in a Chinese buffet? ❤️❤️❤️
Yes it's a nice place to eat & the foods are cheap. I have been there many times. Thanks enjoy your stay . I'm from that place, Love from Manila.
Very salivating. Missed baked talaba and the native chicken 😋
I love you two......thank you for visiting my beloved hometown.....iloilo trip is food Trip...hmmmmmm 😋...about the oyster...I Think this creamy milk flavor come from milkpowder..if I'm not wrong, the waiter mentioned Nido Milk and Cheese in Oyster...."watching from Germany.."😍...Enjoy Iloilo..❤
Still here in iloilo huh... 😁👍
Hi Nelly, the small leaf you're talking about, is it Tamarind leaves? If it is, we use that to make the sinigang soup sour. It's what makes the sinigang sour. In the Tagalog language, it is called, Sampalok. The best and delicious for any Filipino sour soup.
The garlic rice is orange because of turmeric, it’scalled java rice.
Annato seeds or atsuete(most commonly used in Visayan Cookings) . Turmeric powder will make the rice taste gingerly which is not.
JUST TRAVELLING java rice have both annato and turmeric actually. Depending on the amount of turmeric, it can just have a neutral taste.
I miss Iloilo more, watching you guys!
I ate before watching to prepare myself
haha good idea :p
One of the reason why for Filipino are following you it’s because of your food vlog ...
MIKE AND NELLY ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE FILIPINO :p even the way they pronounce the words :)
I feel so hungry right now. Good thing have plenty of stuffs in the fridge right now. Pero iba paron ang lutong pinoy.
I hope i can see you herenin Iloilo. I want to take a pic with you.
💛
native chicken is best for tinola.,...

I tried the siopao there in iloilo. Its so good!
Wow this is my hometown and I miss this all food
I hope you should try just steamed oysters. They're really great in Tatoy's
btw, I eat shrimp with skins
and Guimaras mangioes and Iloilo mangoes are relatives. But because Iloilo is on the mainland, there are many species of mangoes came in and mixed with the iloilo mangoes
You're always welcome to our city mike & nelly.....
thank you :)
Ilonggo dishes to try are KBL (kadyos, baboy, langka), Valenciana, Chicken Binakol, Tinuom, laswa, pinamalhan.

my favorite ilonggo dish, tatoys litson manok
I used to travel a lot in the Philippines because of my work. I have been away for around 20 years now but your Vlog reminds me of Breakthrough Restaurant which I frequent to whenever I was in Iloilo. Must try!!
Please try this place and you won't regret it.....
Located at:Villa Arevalo District, Iloilo City, Iloilo, Philippines
*_shrimp she'll has the most chitin(calcium). If you want some extra calcium, you can eat shrimp shells_*
Yass TATOYS IS BEST RESTAURANT...LOVE THE LECHON MANOK 😋 ....ENJOY WHILE YOU'RE IN THERE...
I like Nelly using her hands while eating. Hahaha you will really appreciate the taste compare using spoon and fork. 😊😁
Shoutout from Iloilo.. See you guys next years Dinagyang.. 😊🤙
Next time try some lapaz batchoy❤️✨
we did! Video is on the channel :)
YES Tatoy's is the best place to eat when in Iloilo ❤️
Tatoys is the best NATIVE CHICKEN INASAL! ALSO KUDOS TO! DINAGYANG COMMITTEE THIS YEAR!!! Performances of each tribe looks BEST and STUNNING when it is located at Iloilo River! but the sad part is on other stages it looks very crowded, especially the stages that is near capitol, making the warriors movement become a little bit stiff and limited. Spotlights or Flood lights must be provided also on the Iloilo River stage because every performer that is casted by the shadow of the roof becomes too dark when filmed. #iloiloDinagyang #Dinagyang #Dinagyang2020
Ohhh its a native chicken🤩🤩🤩🤩so yummy😘give me sum please Mike and nelly....im Hungry guys😢😢
Wow... tatoys has renovated big time. The last time i was there, the floor was sand no tiles... it now looks upscale...
The one in the video is in Tatoy's Atria. The original Tatoy's still has sandy floor in some parts.
If you have the chance to visit again to Cebu try the SUTUKIL in Mactan Cebu.
Sarap🖐️
Miss my hometown ❤
Baguio pinagbenga festval coming soon!
have you tried the molo soup? one of the best in iloilo
I am hungry, and much more salivating, now.

Iloilo is food heaven. Suggest the best location and experience of Tatoy's Manokan is at their original location at Villa Beach. Sumptuous food at the beach side. Also try Breakthrough Villa for your next visit. They also serve delicious seafood dishes for your gastronomical experience. Namit gid (yummy)! You can't beat the location too.
