    Brilliant video.
    Just fitted this and the univalve because I'm always having the leaks with the rectus fittings which i only get about 3 weeks out of before the female connectors play-up.
    Got the parts for the motorised hose reel as that is my next project.
    Good work that man👍

      Peter Williams the Slick Connect can get a little stiff at times. If this happens put a little bit of grease or washing up liquid on the o ring and it will ease it

    I had a car drive over mine and it was fine and you don't need the balls to protect it like the rectus fittings. Only thing I find is they can at times be hard to connect, I don't know why but sometimes I just struggle with it

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 6 lety

      Steve Hughes I’ve noticed that. I think it’s when it’s under pressure

      I had a car run over mine and it was fine. I can't connect it when it's under pressure but the others I have are fine. They are a bit hit and miss but better than rectus fittings.

    ive been using on for about 2 months no along with a uni-valve. i agree with dave it does get stuck on a few things wheelie bins always do my head in if it was a bit smaller id would pull between the bin wheels fine. and brick work is a small problem but overall the best option out there right now and is very durable. The uni-valve i use is pretty good sits nicely in the pole and keeps it protected. but eve when I've got the water off it still lets water through. my flow is pretty high at 49 but even when i turn it down i still have the same problem. does anyone else have the same problem?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 5 lety

      Ronan Dyke it’s not a problem I have had. I will give Steve from Exceed Innovations a shout and see what he says

    Thanks as always Dave. Thinking of getting the tubeless kit. If I had enough pole hose so the slick connect didn't have to go up the pole as its too big, would you recommend connecting to the reel hose with a slick connector or a straight barb?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 3 lety +1

      If you already have a slick connector then use it but I wouldn’t buy one especially for it 👍

    hi mate. I undid my pump from the hose and it was dry? so no water getting into the pump. what does that mean?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 3 lety

      It could means there is a blockage. Are you using hose lock fittings. Some have water stops in them and if they are the wrong way round they can stop the flow

    Hi Dave . I bought two of these overpriced gadgets and have now binned them! Personally thought they were rubbish! Easily gets caught on corners, too bulky and at 20 quid a pop, its daylight robbery! 👎

      JD something’s work for some and don’t for others. Personally I like them but some like yourself don’t. It all about working out what works best for you. Sorry they didn’t work out for you😔
