    can i ask is the rubber O ring a standard size like you would have on your hoze reel fitting ?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 6 lety

      Jason Owen the O ring inside the green part is 10mm as best as I can tell without removing it.
      The O clip 11-13mm on 6mm hose and 13-15mm on 8mm hose. Hope this helps

    Hi dave how do you find the slick connector compared to the rectus?

      I think that they seem to last longer. Some people love them some hate them. I’ve always got on well with them

    Personal update! Horrible bulky things , prone to leaking , easily catches on corners & 20 quid for a bit of moulded plastic, is really taking the P ! It's back to the drawing board , as far as im concerned!

      JD you are right about back to the drawing board. Exceed are bringing out a Slick Connect mark 2. Which has been completely redesigned. 👍

    Hi Dave Ive got a hole in my hose could i cut that bit off then join it with this connector

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 5 lety

      Duncan Emery you probably could but I’m not sure how well it would work. From memory I think the one barb is thinner than the other so I don’t know if you would be able to get a tight enough seal on it but I will try and find out for you.

      Duncan Emery I’ve just asked Steve from Exceed Innovations and he says yes you can use the for Connecting you hose if it’s 6mm

    looks like brittle plastic, would it survive if a car ran over it?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 5 lety

      MyRandall10 I’ve been using it for 8 months now and had no problems. It’s fairly robust but there is some give in it. I wouldn’t want to let a car run over any of my kit so it’s just a matter of looking after your kit and not leaving it in the road.

      @@squeakycleandave1 fair enough thanks for reply, some of my work is in terraced streets where I clean like 10 terraced houses in one go, and sometimes streets are narrow and when parked cars pulls out to drive away they sometimes run over it no matter how carefull I am, why they don't make these in good strong steel up the price with some guarantee I don't know. ps you havnt got a video on these tubeless things have you?

      @squeakycleandave1  Před 5 lety

      MyRandall10 i know what you mean. I live in a terrace street and someone parked on the pipe I use to fill my tank on the path a couple of weeks back and now it leaks. I’ve got a video coming up On the tubeless system. I will probably film it while I’m off work over Christmas. I’ve had it for 3weeks but haven’t had chance to do it with trying to get everything done before I break up

      @@squeakycleandave1 tidy look forward to an honest review, I wonder with a tubeless what's it like pulling a 8mm hose through your pole etc, I like the fact that when you take your pole in at night etc that there's no hose with it. But what's it like at work, that's the main thing

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Před 5 lety

      MyRandall10 I’ve using it for over 2 years now and love it. It keeps the van tidy and I haven’t had to change the rectus connector since I fitted it. You still use a length of pole hose but it winds up onto your hose reel
