This is the main reason. 2) Li Meis loyalty is to her specific Outworld village, one that was enslaved by the Deadly Alliance, and suffered under the rule of Shao Khan and later briefly Mileena, she has never in her life known the rulership of Onaga and for all she (or we) knows it genuinely might have been better, Onaga seemed to rely more on sorcery than traditional means of conquest, his army was resurrected not recruited, his conquests done via blood sorcery and ritual rather than invasions. Certainly at the least Onaga is going to put the will of his queen way over the value of one small village worth of labour when he has cosmic aspirations. 3) If the whole problem is Onaga unifying everything and awaking the One Being, it's possible him having a Dragon Queen actually ends up in some cosmic dualism instead, if you were certain they were going to lose it's possible this actually would save the universe. That is very speculative, but keep in mind this is her ending, so it's assumed in this set up that she is strong enough to win against top tier (in lore terms) characters, and then is empowered further by a godlike Onaga in the ending itself, I could believe she's holding up half of heaven after that. 4) Bad Dragon didn't exist yet a girls got to do what a girls got to do.
You notice all the best endings are from MK4-6 that’s because they had the best storylines. Dark atmosphere, had you linking the endings together, couldn’t wait for the next game. Such a shame they scrapped them in MKX I would’ve loved to see these played out.
No. Mortal Kombat 4 was dog shit. While I still enjoy Deadly Alliance and Deception the games don't hold up well anymore. Still play them from time to time and the overall gameplay is pretty clunky and the majority of the new characters from that time were just God awful.
The endings all got wiped in mk9 tho when they practically reset the timeline by retelling the story of mk 1 through 3 and mkx amd mk11 are the continuation so technically mkx and mk11 are mk4 and mk5 now

Ermac's Mortal Kombat Deception ending was the best, in all of my years playing Mortal Kombat, I would have never thought Ermac would become a good guy and save Liu kang's friends and easily defeated Johnny Cage, Sonya, Jax, Kintana, and Kung Lao before Liu kang purified there souls.

Ermac's story makes more sense in the older timeline as that would explain how Kenshi got his telekinesis powers whereas the newer timeline didn't explain much of that not to mention it makes no sense for Kenshi to know telekinesis as Ermac and Kenshi never cross path in the newer timeline.
I like all of Jade's endings she's a underrated character Tanya MK4 ending I put as one of my favorites but Onaga I feel has the greatest ending in Mortal Kombat and I like Shujinko's ending as well.

Another best ending in MK is Noob's ending in both MK9 & MK11. One ending he became Ruler of The NetherRealm. One ending he became The Destroyer of Worlds.
One of my favs was Kung Lao's death in MK3. It made sense for the character he was (a peaceful man goes to war) to die heroically. Then they resurrected him and turned him into a whiny, egotistical "little brother" character for Liu.

Mk 1 Sub Zero ( Bi Han) wins the tournament and gains a large amount of money. He then proceeds to drive off into the sunset with his millions of dollars.
Quan chi is one of my all time favorites. Because the man knows he's not the strongest so he uses deception and picks his allies according to what they can do for him. He straight doesn't give a fuck who's shoulders he has to stand on. They did a very faithful adaptation in mk9 when he shows up to the tournament with scorpion to fulfill his promise of revenge, then just leaves because he doesn't care about the tournament. He helps shao kahn from near death in exchange for the souls of the warriors who die in Kombat (except motaro, he's too difficult to render) and then just leaves before the end of the fight. Then they fuck him over in mkx and say his powers are fueled by shinnok. This man has the best complex in my opinion.
If you realized in MKDA , there are some kontent when kenshi has the red sento , such as some of his loading screens and his ending , by the way in mortal kombat X kenshi has a variation called "possessed" which enables him to gain demonic powers but most importantly it transforms the sento's colour to red , so as it seems kenshi already had these demonic powers besides telekinesis , psychosis, and telepathy along time again , therefore it's not just a power in gameplay but also in the story mode , the only time he used these powers were in mortal kombat x when he fought takeda
My favorite is Deceptions ending for Liu Kang where his Zombified Body fought his Spirit. Then Raiden merging them together so he could be whole and alive once again. But I do love Ermacs ending!

I know you said no Armageddon endings but Noob Saibot's Armageddon ending was fucking great because Bi-han's divided souls (Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot) fusion danced and made a new warrior. I would love to see Bi-han with Ice and dark powers combined. Sounds like a great character to debut in Mk11 since Noob saibot was swallowed in the soulnado in mk9 i'm thinking they can incorporate Noob Saibot's armageddon ending with that but that is just wishful thinking.

Tremor in MKX - Great to see a character gaining new potential, as well ad introducing a new world - the dream realm. Reptile in MKX - good to see him finally getting some reward after jobbing and getting screwed through the entire series. But the best one of all time must be Raiden's ending in MK1 - destroying Earthrealm in MK tournament for the gods. Simply savage.

Kronika is obviously the succubus from Jade's MK9 ending the succubus in Jade ending was watching the entire series events happening and said they must be relived this is exactly Kronika same purpose and plus when possessing Jade her eyes glow blue which is Kronika and Geras aura.
a lot of mk characters have glowing blue eyes,how does that count as evidence? it doesn't you're just going off a non canon ending.
So in Mk 11 Jade is free from Quanchi's control how did she get free?Did somone kill Quanchi in Mk X? I have both games but have not completed X yet.

Prior Tanya's mk 4 ending; there was nothing in the game or the like to indicate Tanya was on the side of evil. Not just a great ending but an underrated plot twist at the time

Tremor in MKX - Great to see a character gaining new potential, as well ad introducing a new world - the dream realm. Reptile in MKX - good to see him finally getting some reward after jobbing and getting screwed through the entire series. But the best one of all time must be Raiden's ending in MK1 - destroying Earthrealm in MK tournament for the gods. Simply savage.
