    Got a 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo recently. Was sitting in a field. No title, traded for and 86 Dodge truck I had. Giving me the motivation to get her running. Great video. Suscribed

    Just amazing. I was impressed with your vacuum system troubleshooting skills on the thunderbird. Now I am impressed with your ability to tackle anything. the fuel injector system and then also taking the exhaust apart to find the rattle. and then rewarding it back. Lol. I only recently found your videos but I am enjoying them a lot.

    Hey! love the Porsche thinking of getting one myself. You said you needed a better mic but if you're using a GoPro try a stick on fo fur type of material to put over it instead should reduce the wind disturbance. Love the content, keep it up.

    do you remember what Inside diameter Vacuum hoses you used? and what gauge wires you used to rebuild the starter wires? The 924 turbo i bought, only had power on the dash once then it didnt anymore, it doesn't crank when i turn the key, but if I jump the starter directly it cranks. Do you think it could be the wiring?

    • @AutoAnatomy
      @AutoAnatomy  Před 4 lety

      Lots of questions there...
      1. Most of the smaller vacuum lines were 3/32”, but some are 5/32”
      2. I used 10g wire
      3. Lots of things could be wrong, but I would start at the starter wiring. Power goes from the battery to the starter, up to the alternator. There’s also two large red wires that come directly from the battery that power the fuse box. Have you checked the fuses?

      So glad your car is up and running, and thank you! Modern VIN have 17 digits but older cars don’t. I’ve never had an issue with any of my older cars getting a title. Sounds like you may need to speak with someone else at the DMV.

    Hi greats from Germany , well done job .
    But you know that is only a normal 924 with an motor change ?
    The real turbo has 5 hole rims , yours only 4 hole .
    Find a 924s or an 944 who is crashed for change it , than you have a real turbo.
    With changing u will uprade the breaks , they ar better .
    Manny replacement for your car u will find by VW (RABBIT) and so on , they ar cheeper :)
    Hope it will help you , Ralph
    PS fuc. change the speedometer this car will drive more then 220km/h , the normal reach 205km/h and not 140km/h like yours :)

    • @AutoAnatomy
      @AutoAnatomy  Před 3 lety

      Actually, it is a genuine 924 turbo. The early cars (79-80) were four lug and didn’t change to 5 lug until late 1980. Most of the 1980 cars had the 5-lug option but this one does not, which actually makes it more unusual (I won't say rare). All 1981-up 924 turbos were 5-lug.
