That Metal Jesus reference made me burst out laughing.
Joe has the best hair. #Jealous
I love it when channels like these reference one another. Vita for LIFE! I recently received my imported physical copy of Dragon Quest Builders for the system...and i'm hooked!
Good one Metal Jesus! Love your show too! You have given me some awesome advice on hidden gems.
MetalJesus probably has the best hair among gamer gents though.
I love that "rise, from your grave" in Altered Beast. I have that as my morning alarm.
Metal Jesus unnexpected "appearance" made me laugh my ass off.
No Metal Jesus come back. I want to know if Ninja Gaiden is a hidden gem.
Ask Bob Cornhole, he's an expert in that subject.
There's this really cool game on the original Xbox that you might not have heard of. It's called Halo: Combat Evolved. Total hidden gem.
theres this real hidden gem on the nes called duck hunt. total steal. proper unkowen
Halo? Okay, im gonna google that.
Yeah man, nobody ever seems to talk about it... in the old people's home around the corner.
"Everybody knows about the Ninja Gaiden series. That´s unless you´ve never heard of it."
It´s lines like these why I love Game Sack, they just crack me up.
someone should reboot Greendog
Please no.
The Beached Surfer DUDE!
if I wasn't on mobile I'd upvote that comment. GREENDOG
Meh. I'm hoping for that gritty, realistic reboot of Sunday Funday.
Greendog: Beached once more.
Please don't do that.
Prince of Persia has a 60 minute time limit, only the Super Nintendo version got a 120 minute limit because the levels aren't the same as the original.
Still waiting for a Little Nemo: The Dream Master reboot, though it'll never happen. Great video, as always. Love the mock-MJR pop-up.
No just no
isnt it getting remade? i swear i saw a trailer for it
They need to reboot Act Raiser
I loved that game. I guess if it gets the Duck Tales remake polish then I would play it again.
agree, little nemo is a very underrated game. I would be all over a little Nemo reboot/remake whatever.
Dear gamesack i really like your videos, i can really tell the effort and passion you guys put in every single video hope you get millions of subs and tons of sucess in whatever you do in the future, that is all cheers!!
Thank You!
Laughed SO hard at the Metal Jesus gag. I love the work you guys do, and the enthusiasm with which you cover games that, like the Altered Beast reboot, really don't seem worth getting that excited about. But you love telling us about them anyway, and that's what keeps me coming back every other week. :)
Nice, good call on the into music going back to normal. Much better, thanks for the episode Joe, and thank you David, for being the down right fantastic person that you are
My pleasure. Thanks!
Hooray! The original music's back! The original guitar track sounds sooo much better than that newer replacement track.
+Game Sack Dave Thanks for recommending TR2013, I just bought it and it's amazing!
MrSlashStudios
Awesome! I'm glad you like it.
+Game Sack Dave Sheesh Dave... Even going out of your way to get back to him... You know how lucky your friends probably feel to have a guy like you in their life? Hopefully everyone expresses their appreciation to you for being such a genuinely great guy, and friend. Have a great week buddy! Don't work to hard, I can only imagine how much you bust your ass every day for FedEx. Excited for the next episode! And for the next episode of BeerSack for that matter, you rocked that Black&Tan!
You guys make every other week worth it. Thank you for cracking a smile on my face.
Sweet. Thanks for watching!
I always love when my phone buzzes and it's a new Game Sack!
Definitely my favorite show on youtube. Keep it up guys you rule!
The humor was spot-on in this episode. Would love to see you guys cover this subject again.
I thought DMC was a nice reboot. I've been playing the series since Devil May Cry 2 and although it doesn't have the charm or mythology of the originals, it still has the spirit.
Oh god no. You said you like DMC better then Devil May Cry. On the internet.
God have mercy on you. They're coming now.
This is one of the few quality gaming shows around. Game Sack is the kind of show you can spend a whole night watching.
I don't know why you guys (and maybe Console Wars) don't have as many subscribers right now as the avgn, but I'm sure that this quality won't go unnoticed for much more longer.
Greetings from argentina.
The farther into the future we go, the more of these episodes we need
Doom 2016, Killer Instinct 2013, and Wolfenstein The New Order, also maybe Wolfenstein 2009 would be interesting picks for a part 2.
I love the original Killer Instinct :)
Indeed. I'll be looking forward to their next visit to reboots
To me none of these is a real reboot.
Wolfenstein 2009 is highly underrated.
Hell, I skipped it back in 2009 since I heard it was "too generic". I was highly surprised when I bought it for cheap and it ended up being one of my favorite shooter from the previous generation (along with Singularity)é
I'm a nerd who likes consistency when it comes to game naming.
One thing that bothers the shit out of me is when reboots and sequels use the same name as the original game, like what just happened with Doom and apparently what's going to happen with God of War. Subtitles motherfuckers. Use them.
Also hate when game series switch from numbered entries to all of a sudden no more numbers. Call of Duty World at War? Shouldn't that be Call of Duty 5: World at War? Ugh.
At least there's, as far as I know, no game equivalent to the mess that is the Rambo naming system. The sequel to Rambo 3 is just Rambo? The original movie is First Blood, with no mention of the name Rambo in the title at all?
I present to you the mess that is the Seiken Densetsu series.
Not counting spin offs, we've got:
Final Fantasy Adventure
Secret of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3
Dawn of Mana
...Not to mention the namings of just the first game alone: Final Fantsy Adventure, Sword of Mana and now Adventures of Mana. All of which are actually Seiken Densetsu 1.
Of course, in the western world in the early 90s, RPGs were a niche genre, so naming RPGs "Final Fantasy" was a marketing ploy to associate one game with another in the genre, even if it was totally unrelated, as was the case with all of the SaGa games. Later when Seiken Densetsu 2 was localized as Secret of Mana, I guess that localization term stuck, for the most part anyway.
Still just wish the series was called Seiken Densetsu in the west though. Would have solved a lot of confusion.
Yeah, Capcom's notorious for that.
The new God of War isn't a reboot though.
Satoshi Matrix The new god of war is a sequel not a reboot
Doom (2016) has been one of my favorite recent reboots. They did an amazing job with that game.
I'm definitely going to have to try all of those! I own most of them but never played them (sometimes I get games at pawn shops for $1-3 a piece, so I save them for a rainy day) One of my favorite reboots is Sid Meier's Pirates when it was released in the mid 2000's for PC/Xbox/Wii. It refined a lot of the gameplay aspects as well as the visuals. I definitely recommend checking it out!
Prince of Persia: the sands of time is not even the first 3D Prince of Persia game!
Exactly, remember Arabian Nights?
Prince of Persia 3D, around '97 perhaps?
Yeah yeah yeah. Call me when Bob Cornhole reviews something. He's the only one I trust.
I love watching your show as I get ready to go to church on Sundays! It's a nice treat.
Nice. Nothing like a new episode of gamesack to end the day.
Anyone else think these guys should have 10 min subs?
10 minute subs? Like, people subscribing for 10 minutes and then leaving?
nah.
I'm sure that's mean tot be 10 million subs and.. yes. I do.
I don't wan't them to suffer the amount of cancerous comment it would imply
riv4lm4n A godawful comment section would be a small price to pay for these guys getting exposure, supported by CZcams, etc.
an awful comment section was the reason they took a break in the first place, making it even worse would probably just cause them to quit all together.
You should really check out DMC4. In terms of gameplay it's the best in the series. DmC overall removes way too many features and mechanics and has far lower difficulty than 1, 3 and 4, but I can understand if that doesn't matter if you haven't gone that deep into 3 and 4.
Higher difficulty doesn't necessarily mean better gameplay.
They way a lot of fans look at it, it removed difficulty and gameplay features, such as Styles, Style Switching, Switch Canceling, and just a lot of the advanced techinques DMC had. DMC has a very large fanbase that gets incredibly techincal with the games, that DmC sadly doesnt have, since its a very simple game.
+Game Sack Valid point, but I would agree that DMC4 is better than DmC.
RemixerUltimate
I'll definitely have to get DMC4.
Game Sack I would highly recommend the special edition
Man, been subscribed to you guys since you had 64,000 subscribers. Kinda missed the old days with the humors and the rivalry between you guys. Glad to see Joe back as Metal Jeusus thought.
Good video! I liked Maximo on Playstation 2 a reboot/re-imagination of Ghouls n' Ghosts/Ghosts n' Goblins. It is a fun game with hat tips to the 2D games, such as music and losing your armor down to your boxers.
in my opinion tomb raider has been rebooted twice. Legends was somehwat of a reboot with new controls/gameplay which then was rebootes in the new games.
How much MEGA POWER does a ps4 or xbox one have?
About 200,000 - 800,000 Mega power.
none !
Mega Power is the amount of megabits a game is in terms of storage, has nothing to do with processing power. But a double layered Blu-ray disc would be 409600 Mega Power.
all of them
+Nukleon Welcome to internet
Sunday morning, breakfast with coffee, and Game Sack. Love it!
One of the best CZcams intros there are, not to even mention the transition scenes
One think i don't understand. People hate DmC, because Dante is different. Game itself is Hack'n'slash just like original and overall it resambles original, but people still hate it.
On the other hand there is Tomb Raider. Game is NOTHING like original, only main character kinda look alike, and people are fine with it... WTF?...
Opinions, that's it really... Dante in the reboot isn't as likeable as the original. However, the new Lara came as a vulnerable woman, which is what they were aiming for. The new Dante isn't how he became the original Dante, they just scraped his personality and gave him a new one... that didn't fit well with fans.
+MrJechgo Does new Lara personality have anything to do with original? Besides i like new Dante as much as classic Dante. And if someone play games for 'personality of main character', they should double check the medium they are after.
Nehes No, Lara doesn't have the same personality of the headstrong and rather "pompous" classic Lara. The thing is that the devs went for an origin story where Lara started as a very fragile woman and THEN became strong in the end. We technically never saw classic Lara in her debuts as an explorer; she was already experienced. However, making an origin story makes total sense since, well, it is how Lara became an explorer, but the twist is that she didn't plan on that in the first place. Beside, maning Lara vulnerable doesn't come out as alientating as making the new Dante a total jerk, where his personality and look completely clash with the classic one. While it might not be a 100% legit point to ditch a game, players can toss a game aside if they just don't like who they are playing as.
I haven't played Rise of the Tomb Raider, but from what I've heard, Lara whines a lot LESS in the sequel :P
+MrJechgo Actualy we saw young Lara in TR The Last Revelation.
You said that we were supouse to see fragile Lara changing and getting stronger, that is why she is so much different at the begginnig, but the same thing is with Dante. He is selfish jerk at the begginnig, but later he lern. I dont know, but for me difference betwean Laras are much bigger and alienating than Dantes.
Anyway i dont play games for personalities but for gameplay. Thats the core of a game. Now compare Tomb Raider gameplay to reboot and DMC. Compare fighting mechanics, level construction, weapons, etc. You see my point? If i want story and character development i watch a movie, read book, comic etc.
Nehes Totally see your point. However, the lore itself can be considered by players as important as the gameplay itself.
Strider 2014?
only played that one a bit, but it seems awesome.
I need to get around to buying it, but I got a fat stack of a back catalog.....and Star Ocean 5 comes out next week XD
SO FUCKIN GOOD
Yes it counts. Very Metriodvania inspired which suits the franchise well honestly. Great game! Japanese version even has a physical copy on PS3 too.
I love how they remixed the music from the NES Strider game
Strider and bionic commando rearmed
I always look forward to a new video from you guys. Game sack is one of the best channels on CZcams.
Hey Joe! I'm the Guy from Doc's Video Games where you bought the Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It's cool to see a game you bought from us in the show :). I really liked this episode since it covered a few of my favorite series of games like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry. I personally really like Ninja Gaiden Black in the rebooted series. I know there are tons of people who bash on DMC Devil May Cry but man that game is fantastic. My favorite is DMC3 for it's combat but DMC Devil May Cry has some of the best environments I've ever seen and experienced in any game. People who don't like it are still stuck on Dante's look. Oh well I enjoyed it :)
'Laura, yes that is how us Americans pronounce her name, Laura.'
No, that is how you pronounce a completely different name.
I never understood why so many people (not just Americans) don't seem to grasp they are two different names. Lara, Laura. Different names.
May as well call her John.
I wish Game Sack would discover the existence of PC gaming. It would make a really good show almost perfect.
They've reviewed the X68000 and a coupla PC titles, so don't think they're completely ignorant of PC gaming.
*I don't think they're....
***** well, they never ever mention PC versions of the titles they feature. Even more, praising the graphics of some of the reboots and showing the inferior console versions doesn't make much sense (as in Tomb Raider and Devil May Cry). And buying an Xbox One to play Rise of the Tomb Raider because it's exclusive? Guess what? It's not, there is a PC version. By the way, Prince of Persia Sands of Time happens to be a free download right now from Ubisoft, on PC. Worth mentioning...
+Federico Guzmán Cool. But we both know they're console guys. I am too, I never was too into PC gaming. Wolfenstein, Prince of Persia, Doom that's about all I got into back in the late 80s early 90s.
+Federico Guzmán and Carmageddon 2.
I remember playing the original Ninja Gaiden when I was 5 years old. The cutscenes amazed me. I was amazed by the rich color and detail. I doubt I was much good at the game, but I remember having a good time with it too!
Nice to see you guys showing love for the new Tomb Raider series!
Does Metroid Prime count as a reboot? It's completely different and the story doesn't seem to follow. If so, then those are great reboots.
Splatterhouse is a great reboot of the series too. It's pretty buggy and not perfect, but it's just enjoyable ultra violence. Like the originals.
The Prime trilogy actually happens between the original Metroid and Super Metroid.
I'd say technically for Metroid Prime. There wasn't a Metroid game for a long time, so it basically brought back the series.
its more of a spin-off considering they were still releasing 2d metroid games for the gba at the time
+Grd Mstr75 If the 360 version has them I don't see why they would be omitted for the PS3 version.
few things going against that:
1. it really hadn't been that long since Super Metroid - that came out near the end of the SNES life cycle and Metroid just skipped the N64
2. Prime couldn't be a lone reboot no matter what since Fusion was co-released with it - and technically, Fusion is the real reboot, if you can even call it that, since it's 2d and even calls itself 'Metroid 4' as the sequel to Super Metroid
3. Prime is basically Super Metroid done in 3d - just compare the basic stories - it doesn't help that a whole section of Prime uses the same music as Super either
Her name's Lara, not Laura. I don't know why so many Americans can't unserstand that Lara is a name. It's like they read the word Lara and think "Laura? it looks like Laura, only without the U. I'm gonna call her Laura."
They're two different names.
Harperlarp STFU
10:56 That mop wig makes a return! LOL
I'm loving the Metal Jesus Rocks impression, I know Joe has done other impersonations of other CZcamsrs, I'd love to see more of those hopefully in the future!
Bayonetta was also released on PS3. Not only X360.
I pity the people who played it on PS3 though. Vastly inferior to the 360 version for some reason. That always baffled me.
MekanikKommandoh88 yeah, i played it on X360 too.
Oh god, now that's a terrible port... long loading times after every restart or death (higher rankings require "some" restarts), the FPS fluctuates like a yo-yo going up and down and tearing everywhere. That single 1.01 update did not fix anything, just added an HDD install option which only improved the loading times by a marginal amount. PlatinumGames has admitted that they made a mistake when they let Sega handle the PS3 port (which was not even planned until the very end of development).
And the Wii U through Bayonetta 2.
True, but everyone wants to ignore its existence, even Platinum Games.
Tomb Raider reboot, talking about bow: "And it's quiet" - shoots explosive arrow at rabbit.
Best!
LoL. It's mainly quiet except when you put an explosive tip on it.
Lara not only look like Rambo, she also behaves like that.
>plays rayman with his daughter.
that's the most heartwarming thing I've heard this month
I'm pretty sure I am a big fan of this show now. thank u guys!
Dave, have you played Rayman Legends yet? You mentioned wanting another Rayman game...that one is AWESOME on the Xbox One...
I have played it and it's great. I'm always hoping for a new Rayman.
+Game Sack Dave will you's do another 2d 32bit games? Like most folk back then all I bought was 3D games but after playing Castlevania sotn and blood omen I know I've missed out on some great games
DMC is not even close to have an better gameplay than Devil May Cry 3. Its more like an "Devil May Cry for dummies". And of course, it's hard to get over that douchebag murica Donte that the producer made based on himself. One of the worst and more anoying charaters ever. The original one was so cool...and they have to destroy everything with this brodude Donte.
Your endings always crack me up 25:58, keep up the good work one of the best gaming channels on YT.
another excellent episode of Game Sack. Favorite CZcamsrs hands down!
1. You didn't mention that Prince of Persia was actually rebooted again in 2008.
2. It's a bit misleading to say that Devil May Cry "inspired" Bayonetta, when they were both directed by the same person: Hideki Kamiya.
3. Bayonetta was also released on the PS3 and (later) the Wii U. 4. American pronunciation of the name Lara (and even Laura) varies by region. 5. You mean to say "polygonal", not "polygon".
No one speaks of that garbage
I speak of it. Quite enjoyed that version. The platforming became more like a rhythm action game which feels great to nail during some of the longer segments. Wish they would release more like it.
+sera .phic pop 08 was pretty fun except for the combat. would have loved to see a sequel for it.
You must be a ton of fun at parties...
There was a lot to love about PoP'08. The world, atmosphere, and characterizations were enjoyable to me. Combat was annoying but had some depth. I think what got me, was the lack of consequence. The idea that I couldn't die and the princess would always rescue me was cute, but made it feel like I was perpetual easy mode :( As for everything else in the original post, seems a bit nit-picky. GameSack are known for not doing a lot of research, and I wouldn't expect them to. They're informative and entertaining, but they're not doing a documentary on their subjects
DMC doesn't compare to devil may cry 1 and 3, especially for the time they came out. That is why they became classics. Plus old dante is best dante lol and I liked Nero....... but dont tell anybody
Wow thanks for bringing back the old intro! Great vids guys I see how fast you've grown, I subbed at 70/75/80k subs!
Yay! The original theme song is back. Another great episode.
"Oobisoft" Dave?
What do you say?
+Game Sack Youbee, but I may be dumb and wrong.
Douglas Estep
Listen again to the entire Rayman segment. We made sure to say it both ways so everyone would get pissed off. People love it.
+Douglas Estep Hey, Joe gave us back the old intro music. Power to the people. heh
*****
Already did.
No that is not how americans pronounce her name
I appreciate this video. I'll need to keep an eye on if I can get either the original Prince of Persia or The Sands of Time. I think that's the first time I've seen either one front-and-center. That's what I love about how you guys cover multiple games, it's practically a guarantee I'll have at least a few interesting ones brought to my undivided attention.
You forget to mention in the description that Metal Jesus is a guest in this episode :) Love the show guys keep up the good work.
Grretings from Brazil!
As a fan Devil May Cry I fucking Hate DmC everything is awful(the story is a guy version of Twilight) am so happy it Bombed so there will never be a sequel & Ninja Theory (who real dicks 2 the fans btw) are 1 game away from going broke :D sorry Joe but that game brings the worst out of me every time I see it :P.
I think perhaps you're getting a little too emotional there. I don't think it bombed otherwise they wouldn't have bothered with a PS4 version. It's a well-playing game and I think people only really hate because of fanboy reasons. I can understand that (it's not true to devil May Cry, etc). But as a game it's good, especially for someone like me who has no real attachment to the originals since I never really played them (yet). Getting the HD versions, though.
dmcs story is They Live look it up they share the same plot
The 360/PS3 versions of the game had some other bad issues like running at 30 fps and having quite unresponsible controls due that and the game media and developers themselves acting like complete assholes, at a point the developer made this keynote thing where they compared the original dante to Brokeback Mountain.
I would say the PS4 version is most likely tweaked the hell and back after the audience slapped the shit out of the developer.
Dr_Kachu san Yeah Ninja Theory did a great job making sure it failed the same thing is going on with the female Ghostbuster reboot they never learn do they :P
Fraudulent Frequency Yeah but it does have a very Twilight feel about it right down 2 the sexism :P
DMC is watered down absolute trash compared to the originals. I expected better from you Game Sack. Ninja Theory were assholes to original fans all through development, the new Dante is a twat bait douche canoe (the mop scene is openly insulting to the old guard), the story is pretentious "lolsodeep" tripe that shits all over the classic memorable characters, the music is a trendy wub fest, the gameplay is watered down and completely lacking in depth, the legendary difficulty that the series is known for is nowhere to be found, Gods Must Die doesn't hold a candle to the true Devil May Cry on its MEDIUM settings. They had to release a definitive edition to even come anywhere to close to the level of depth offered by DMC 3 and 4. Did I mention that the original release didn't even have a lock on? You know, a very basic mechanic in most all 3D games that was essential for certain inputs in the true Devil May Cry. Truly disgusting.
Its just a video game. Calm the fuck down.
Kudos, no one's ever noticed before.
mag1011 Yes, of all the disgusting things in the world, DmC is the one that's TRULY disgusting.
Another Sunday morning working made better by the Sack, thanks dudes
Oh man, the reboot Ninja Gaiden was fun, but I love the originals on NES. So much memories as a kid renting those games.
It makes me happy that the old Prince of Persia game (especially the snes version) got some love. Played both the snes- and Amiga versions all the time back in the days. I never gave the reboot games a fair chance, except for the reboot reboot on X360/Ps3.
haha love the little crackn at metal jesys. you even got the hand movements right haha. love it
I actually end up liking a lot more reboots than the originals. It seems like the devs know what to keep and what not to keep most of the time, and they just really click with you. DuckTales, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance (does that count as a reboot? I think it does), Tomb Raider... They just seem to always know how to improve already stellar series. Oh yeah, great video as always! Looked like a bunch of effort and care went into this one, and it really shows!
My favorite reboot has to be Stryder. A superb game all around, and very fun, if short.
I'm glad somebody else really likes DMC5 more than the others! It feels SO MUCH NICER and the fixed camera is completely gone which is really nice. There's also a bunch more features and more stylish combos you can do!
ALSO I'm American and I say "Lara" not "Laura" get with the program. You know because, that's how her name is spelled.
Some reboots (maybe more-often considered sequels) came to mind like Donkey Kong Country Returns and Punch-Out on the Wii, Splatterhouse from 2010, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Twisted Metal for PS3, Carmageddon Reincarnation/Max Damage, Gauntlet from 2014, Shadow of the Beast for PS4 and the newest DOOM.
I only recently discovered you guys but I really dig your content. I immediately subscribed once I noticed how awesome your channel is. I've been doing mini marathons of all your episodes and I'm hoping you two will do a full fledged PS Vita episode at some point. It's a truly underappreciated piece of hardware and I'd love to hear your input on the console. Thanks for the awesome content!
Great episode! Just wanted to let you know that I finally figured out how to whitelist channels on my Adblock and made sure to whitelist your channel. Keep up the great work, guys!
Great episode would love to see a an episode on modern games with great sprite work
Man, I loved, loved, loved the original Tomb Raider. My uncle watched me play through because he hadn't seen a game with such realistic graphics(lol) The new reboot is damn good too!
I'm so happy Joe likes the reboot of Devil May Cry - this game is seriously underappreciated.
This was a great video and I enjoyed it. For Reboots episode 2 I suggest
comparing: Shining Froce on Gensis to Shining Force EXA on PS2, Phantasy Star
games on Gensis to Phantasy Star Zero, and Phantasy Star Portable, Classic Dos
X-com, to the new X-com, NES Metorid to Metroid Prime, Shadow Warrior, Rise of
the Triad, Strider, Donkey Kong Country to Donkey Kong Country Returns,
Wolfenstine to Wolfenstine the New Order, Doom, StarFox to Starfox 64 and Star
Fox Zero.
I remember playing the reboot of altered beast when it came out. I lend it from a local videostore.. I didn't knew that it was a reboot of the original series at that time. But thanks for showing it in this video, i always wondered, what the name of this game was because i enjoyed it back in the day.
A joy, as always! Loved Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox. I remember they added those challenge mode levels that you could download through Xbox Live. They were pretty tough.
love the Metal Jesus parody, got me cracking up 😂
22:48 "I dunno, I don't think this is something that anyone would like happening to them."
Well, if your internet friends and acquaintances are as varied and multi-faceted like mine are, you'd find out that many, many people are into painful transformations like these. Really opens your eyes into the human psyche, listening to their reasoning as to why such a painful experience would be exciting for them. I don't mind them most of the time, because I have my own idiosyncrasies that they have to deal with as well, so it's a mutual understanding xD
The keys to beating Ninja Gaiden on XBOX or PS3: Always keep your guard up and NEVER STOP MOVING.
The jolt of joy i feel when i see a new vid in my sub box
hey guys great job! I love your videos! as other viewers mention it, you deserve way more subscribers! I just wish you could do more parodies or comedy videos you guys sure have talent making them
LOL @ the 'hidden gems' callback. You guys are the best.
Lots of action game reboots in this episode. Reminds me of the Shinobi reboot for the PS2. I liked that game a lot just as I liked Devil May Cry. The original Shinobi were cool but I really enjoy the challenge of the Tate mechanic. Killing boss in one or two well timed hits was intensely satisfying to pull off.
I loved the NES Max gag!
XCOM: Enemy Unknown was one of the best reboots in recent memory
Good list, you guys covered a decent amount of examples. Funny you mention Prince of Persia, it is free this month from Ubisoft on the PC. Loved that game when it released but I even loved when they had the remake of the old original one on the 360 as well. Where they overhauled the graphics of the one from '89.
I love the new Tomb Raider. Rise of the Tomb Raider is so great too! Glad you played both of them.
When these guys find a good topic, the episode usually shows. as it does here.
Hah, dat Metal Jesus shot was great
Great episode again, guys, Tomb Raider really got an outstanding reboot.
Also own Ninja Gaiden Sigma myself but still haven't played it because there's so much to play before.
Also yay for _MetalJesusRocks_.
Strider, Splatterhouse, and Metroid Prime were all solid reboots.
I haven't played the new DOOM but people seem to really like it.
People complain of dmc Dante reboot look. My opinion. I don’t care about his look, the gameplay is what matters
You really opened a can of worms when you said that you prefer DMC over the originals, Joe... statements like that can really get you lynched on some places of the net. Anyway, fun episode just like always and the perfect cure for a sunday hangover.
I beat NG 1 and 2 on hard. I remember that being a challenge between me and a couple of friends who got me into the series. I sort of regretted it at first, but then it becomes addicting to conquer the games.
