Karl is responsible for sending out all the prizes on their show, so listen very carefully to what he does at 41:55 - 42:00 after hearing the winner is in Switzerland.
That sigh. Haha.
He's not gonna know what to do at the post office. And he'll be moaning about the shipping costs coming out of his pocket.
Great spot!
Haaaa! listened to these so many times n never noticed that
Haha that’s class- you know he’d be well pissed off with that, bless him
Karl bought one or two prizes but I doubt he paid for shipping.
That was really subtle but ye he’s pissed
This must be one of the best XFM episodes, with Karl slagging off Suzanne's arse, the beginning of the 'bong' headlines, his 'get me in the book' line, and his best 'Karl in a film' with Ricky's laugh killing me.
And G-A-Y club, man woman man.
And the man woman 😂
"cluuuue changes everrytiiime baaabyy, the clue changes eveeerrrryyytiiime"
unlike the Times crossword the clue changes everytime.

love how you can hear ricky's faint laugh during the film bit
oscar strokosz Faint? x
I Drink Therefore I Dram like quiet
Faint lol. It was so clear.
Jay Neale wqx
"I've been ill."
"...Nothing serious?"
I really thought after all these years that wouldn't still make me laugh, but it does.
Likewise. Steve was/is so quick with hit wit.
Karl in Kes is not only the best Karl in a Film but probably the greatest thing he has ever done. It's so hilariously clever.
Ricky's laughter makes it so. x
Yeah, it's easily the best one, and Ricky's laughter makes it even better.
Followed closely by the Scrooge “garlic bread” moment which is legitimately funny even without Ricky’s laugh
No brilliant as they all are- the One Flew Over is def the best, and not cos its one of my fave films too but either the acting or editing he does when hes reacting to his head being squozed (using the scene where Macs lifting the basin thing) is actually genius
@@ilcorvo9559 you're absolutely right haha
"I've been ill" is the most criminally underrated statement in the whole show
This episode should totally be called "Well, get me in the book!"
Oh my god! Totally! Go seahawks!
love Ricky and Steve's little monologues when acting out a scene that they are discussing.
Alan Dodd They are called sketches
Or improv!
Dialogues
Ooooooohhhhhh
@alandodd3184 haha 7 years after the initial comment, respect brother, do you still listen to these regularly like the rest of us?
Listen to this on public transport for the maniac look.
Going to sleep listening to this in 2022! (Australia). I don’t think I’ll ever stop listening to these 3.
its crazy right? I'm from Manchester not far from where Karl grew up so i can understand why i like it so much but when i hear people so far away still listen and love it makes me really happy karl is a gift to the world lol
Karl isn't a fan of Australia. Firstly, it's too far away, secondly, it's full of animals that can kill you.
When Steve’s trying to pass as gay and says “I’ve been ill” then Ricky chuckles and says “nothing serious”….I’m just now getting what he’s getting at haha
What is he getting at
@@GhostDrops1 if you were deaf you would have hearing?…
@@GhostDrops1 is it AIDS?
Love jokes being explained
@@Dilkingt0nneCan you say AIDS on youtube?
No matter how many times I hear these I still can’t get the rockbuster answers 😂
October 2023. Still listening, still laughing. Wonderful stuff
Love them slagging off Sky One 🤣 couple years later Idiot Abroad is its feature show
probably recycled some of their sucking up to the Telegraph material to make up for it during their pitch 😅
'It's a man... well...' Cracks me up every time
"First one was easy- we gave them the answer. That's the easiest one we've ever had."
'Po-leece'
Ricky: I’m already not holding out much hope for this working out.
Karl: I just messed that first one up.
Rickys laugh in the background of the Movie scene killed me xD
DigitalDylanToddNI How many times a day does he squoze it 😂
Every rockbusters "karl: it's where I sort of give a cryptic clue"
"Ricky: well..."
Rockbusters, or what am I thinking?
Crap-tic
"Some of which might be wrong .."
Clue changes every time!
The paolo sketch is one of the most underrated bits they ever did on xfm
I've... been ill....
pop ya shirt off.
@@willsuttie3683 Nothing serious?

Knobs babyyyyyy
"You are, right, you are one of the most stupid humans I've ever met."
"Well, get me in the book."
Brilliant!
Lol. I was laughing for a good solid minute after that.
"Sort of man woman..." "...a fella who's a woman..." "...this woman..." "...it's a woman, well it's a man..." "...it's, it's...it is a man...well..." "...it's a man who is now sorta half a woman."
Jesus Christ Karl 😆
Arran Bradstock MAN WOMAN MAN WOMAN MAN TV TV MAN WOMAN MAN TV WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT KARL
Beautifully done!
Enjoy it while you can... The SJWs of the future will censor Karl's "transphobic" comments
@@IAmRedherrings Is it transphobic? I don't think not understanding something or not knowing what sex to classify someone as is in any way transphobic, the only reason sjw's "know" is because that's what they've been told to think in order to avoid hurting feelings because apparently that's the worst thing in the world. At best he's just ignorant since there's obviously no malice behind it.
I remember watching the TV show as well at the time 😅
"Anyway, rather than reading out the A-Z..."
R: "Ooooooh!"
S: "Ooooooh!"
This got Chris Moyles the Breakfast Show on Radio 1!
Steve was raised on Gay's Road, Bristol in case anybody's wondering.
He'll be knocking them in and you'll be.....knocking.....one.....
Right, let's uh....
20 bender points!!! Every sentence in these shows are gold.
it tents towards infinity.
Whats the point of being foreign if you cant speak english?
I love their nervous laughter when they're talking about Paolo's illness...
I've heard Ricky laugh like that before. He's trying so hard not to laugh out loud
And instead of saying let's get married they're saying how swollen and red is your arse?
No that was me.
Gets me every time. Absolutely brilliant
34:15 - "You are...right? You are...one of the...most stupid humans I have ever met." "Well get me in the book." xD
Didn't even delay. Quick wit!
You can't teach people that sort of comedic sensibility. Karl has it in fucking bags.
LEGENDARY MOMENT
46:34 hearing Ricky laughing in the background is the best moment
Karl in Kes is the best thing he ever did. The original dialogue fits perfectly with his inserts and the XFM references. "How do you spell that??" - perfect.
He was really good at stat stuff. It's very clear that he was an editor by trade.
Rickys laughing in the background of ‘Karl’s film thing’ gets me every single time
it's funny because it's unexpectedly good.
I’ve been listening to these three fools for 11 years and 26:50 still makes me laugh like it was my first time.
It's called Mirrium.
My dad took me to the Garfunkels they refer to here, near Piccadilly Circus, when I was little - around the time this was taped actually. Great burger and chips. Unfortunately gone now, think it moved. Rest in peace old man!
This is one of the best episodes
Episode title should be "Well, get me in the book"
Haha! Consider it done ;-)
"He squoze me head"
"How do you spell that?"
Every time 😂😂😂
I would love to see Karl play a game of Rockbusters with Gollum in his dark cave. Both of them hunched over by the water's edge in the dark, their voices echoing. If only the Hobbit films had been released earlier. Karl could've done that for the Film Thing and made the Riddles scene into a game of Rockbusters. Karl would be like "A'ight, you're quite the cheeky little freak."
What a brilliant idea! We need to tell Manmoth to get on the AI train and make it happen!!
"What is a manc twatses?"
Rickys laugh in the background when Karls dubbing over kez 😂😂
I like how Karl talks about the watch eating bloke again (which I think Ricky mentioned originally), and then Ricky uses the two jokes that Karl came up with the first time!
"Well, get me in the book" is the quickest, most brilliant response the K-man ever uttered. Genius.
And he fires it off basically to dismiss Ricky so he can keep prattling, rather than as the golden punchline for the entire segment. It makes it even funnier.
Ricky loves the darkness! love these and must be on 50 timed around
46:31 "How do you spell that? "Aha-HA-HA-HA..."
Karl's come a long way in his thinking considering he was actually a crossdresser for a day on the Moaning of Life haha
"yh yh yh, darkness" Best intro to any of their podcasts,
More good work from Man Moth! Hello from Busselton, Australia
"I was doing that thing- wa'n't I?- with Richard Bacon."
"You talk in riddles."
7:31 when Ricky nearly says "that's what normal people go out at"
Listening to this during the Covid19 Lockdown. Never fails to make life feel a bit more positive, these shows.
7 months and I’ve come back around again! Slowly closing in on 2021.
June 2021. Another six months. Another rotation ✌️
A year on from my last update - March 2022 - and Russia has invaded Ukraine. Makes these shows all the more important as a welcome distraction.
37:12 Karl adopts the ‘acting out a funny sketch’ with Ricky instead of Steve!
Ricky saying "does it whistle?" reminds me of Chris Rock on Talking Funny going "does he do the whistle?" So funny
Sitting on a cock cause I'm gay. Probably the best song parody that no one ever heard
Watching the tide roll away?
The merchants of gay's street
ha just round the corning memorial street
“Never mind Robin Hood, let’s rob Barclays!”
thanks for uploading these👍
He's called Miriam.
This could be the title...
man woman man woman man woman tv programme
Karl plays himself very well in the Karl In Movie bits. Just sounds like he's meant to be in it.
That suzanne is a lucky lucky lady 😂😂
I can't believe Karl struggled so badly to describe Miriam. 😂
It's almost as if Karl is a bit stupid!
One of my favs
Man hey ya by OutKast really brings me back to a simpler time
14:20 Steve slagging off sky1 not knowing that he’d produce one of the best shows ever on the channel years later
I love how they spend so long cussing Sky one and that’s the station an idiot abroad was on hahaha
Definitely my fav episode along with the episode with the Antartic scientists LOOL
This should be called "Upstairs, he's got a lovely pair of dumplings"
the image of Steve cruising down to G.A.Y. with "the lads" to see Britney Spears is still so funny to me all these years later
Paolo*
20 bender points?
I wonder do any of them know that people still listen to these radio broadcasts
They must, when Stephen Merchant posts anything on Instagram, the comments tends to be relating to these.
Karl and Steve have referred to it in recent podcasts.
And Ricky must do too, he gets XFM related replies to his tweets from time to time.
"Is there ANYTHING worth watching on Sky ONE?" The boys did cash their sweet sweet cheques after putting An Idiot Abroad on there XD
They should call Ricky the man of a thousand laughs. lol.
Legendary episode
11:22 - Ricky's impersonation of a seagull
empleh777 That's the fakest laugh I've ever heard!
Legitimately the only Songs of Phrase I can stand. Not only can I put up with it, I think it's a masterpiece.
songs of phrase? do you mean the film thing. if so this and the scrooge christmas one are best if you get the reference in it and ricky loses it laughing
the man who's sort of half a woman
Karl in Kes
Paolo
This teletubby has got lice
classic episode
“The upper half is but is the bottom” 😂😂😂 Not arsed, Steve’s funny a fuck
“I haven’t read up about this”
*room erupted into chaos*
22:47 I'm sure Steve presses that button . You hear a chair and his voice moves likes he's gone round the desk
The bongs are my favourite when they pop up
Thanks for all these moth man and thanks for not advertising on then also!
"you're ill." LOL!!!
Be good if they come together for more podcasts.
Ricky has said that Karl has grown up and learned the error of his ways, so they're not going to make more podcasts because it wouldn't work today. Karl isn't as much of a fool any more as he was so it wouldn't be as funny or work as a concept.
@@AutomaticDuck300 that's sad
Think they've done enough tbh. 4 series of XFM, all the podcasts and Idiot Abroad.
Can't have the same sort of shtick forever as great as they were.
Great this one is
never mind robin rood, lets rob barcleys. too long for a title?
lcfckid Haha, it's a good un... It might be a bit too long though.
Man Moth Here's a title. I'll buy you a new hair-cut and that.
+Man Moth what about "let's have a talk about her fat arse"
+lcfckid +man moth "get me in the book" or "bong!"
+- FreeFlow - yeh i like her fat arse :p or MAN WOMAN, WOMAN MAN, TV.
"This isn't that good but: some fella pulls a train with his teeth"
Sounds pretty impressive to me
FYI: the street Steve was referring to was probably "King Dick's Lane"
nope, it was Gay's Road
The headlines are classic - "bong"
I always bust out laughing at 'give us another bong"
“ it’s nice how you can talk about transsexuals and gays without offending “
21 years later ......
You can tell Steve’s intellect changes. He’s gone from reading “white van man” in the Sun to reading the Evening Standard and the Telegraph
11:20 probably among the top 5 Ricky Gervais laughs of all time!
Hahaha HAAAA. hahaha HAAAA.
Cheers mate...
46:58 "Swivels, write that on the board."
I the way we love Carl is the way he loves monkeys, utter fascination for the creature just below us
"Family sick of living on Butthole Road"
*BONG!!!*
"Cow hit by train lands on farmer's wife!" :o
The2011Collector as eelpout
.
The place name “Cliterhouse drive” sets you up for the easiest most boring predictable joke ever, I’m genuinely proud of these three for resisting the urge to make it
“It’s nice that you can talk about transgenders on the radio without complaints” my how that aged badly 😂😂
Still watching this you CZcams so dont get rid of it please
Imagine if this episode came up in 2020 their careers would be over and they would have been lynched by the left lolol
@not me Yeah. Ricky's still the same.
lol I think you can just hear Karl laughing at "can you hear it whistle"
The name of the street Steve's parents lived on in Bristol is Gay's Road.
My suburb in Perth, Western Australia is called Cockburn
The G.A.Y quiz was gold😂😂😂😂
Ricky stole that "how did they time him" comment from Karl in a previous episode.
Gary stretch-turner up to his old tricks.
