    Nice Video.
    BTW: I just use a small Pie Tin (aluminum) under the Oil Filter.
    Keeps it clean.
    Also as a back up a Rag under the Pie Tin.

    Thanks so far i got 1.9 hours on mine 2022-23 75750. You can add a hour meter already factory plug & cut out is there on panel for installed. I did it cheap after market Amazon for $27 toro wanted $89. You can add OEM led light kit for about $105 ish with a military discount. Also factory plug.

    That's been the oil level check procedure for the majority of Japanese engines for decades........ just place the diptick back in the hole without screwing it in and then remove to check the oil on the dipstick.

    Just adding 2 cents...when removing the oil filter, notice there is a scooped shelf right underneath. It guides the oil. You have to place a container there to capture the oil.

    What diameter hose did you use for the oil to drain

    Informative video, I just got a mower identical to yours about a month and a half ago and the oil change is coming up. Quick question, after you got your oil to the full mark and ran the engine, did you check it again? Or have to add anymore? I'm going to have to change mine very soon and just wanted to ask. Thanks for your time.

    • @poyganoutdoors6406
      @poyganoutdoors6406  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Bobby, yes I do check the oil after I get it to the full mark initially. I usually let the engine run for 5 minutes or so after the oil change, let it sit for a bit (15 to 20 mins), and then check it again. I usually do have to add some after I check it again, but most of the time it is a minor amount. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    I just picked up my 50" yesterday. This will help when I have to do the same (two thumbs up). The oil filters are always in bad spots in pretty much all vehicles. Doesn't that Kawasaki sound good idling?

    I’m confused… I bought an oil change kit specifically for this mower and they sent Kawasaki 10 W 40 oil. Do you think there would be an issue using it?

    • @poyganoutdoors6406
      @poyganoutdoors6406  Před rokem

      Sorry Jonathon, just saw this comment. What engine do you have on the mower? The book says 10w30 on mine, but maybe yours is the Toro or the Briggs engine? I'd recommend looking at the book and putting the one that it says in there. Take care!

      Interesting. I'm not mechanically inclined enough to tell you if that will be okay for your mower. I just do what the book says. I've had my mower for three years now and it has ran great on 10w-30. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

    • @poyganoutdoors6406
      @poyganoutdoors6406  Před rokem

      On second thought, I checked the book and 10w-40 is okay to use in that engine. It is used for warmer temperatures, so you should be good. Hope that helps!

    how often should you change the oil ?...

    • @poyganoutdoors6406
      @poyganoutdoors6406  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Lee, you have to change the oil after the first 8 hours of use and then every 100 hours for the oil and 200 hours for the oil filter. However with that being said, I change both the engine oil and filter every year or 100 hours (which ever occurs first). I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

      Mine is seviceable with cutouts in frame for both sides left & right hydraulic trans to access the screws. I heard from others that you don't have worry untill about 500 hours!
