    The reason that mower discharges so well is because of that exposed blade. I’ve never had a zero turn spread out grass so well. And I’ve used lots of commercial grade mowers.

      I'd recommend getting the preferred oil in the user manual. From my experience, small engines can be touchy, and I don't stray from what is recommended too often. Yes the Polaris oil is more expensive, but four wheelers don't need oil changes as often as your car for instance (because you usually use them way less). I'd recommend staying with the Polaris recommend oil. Thanks!

    Great review and super helpful! You think this mower would work on a ditch with an 18 degree slope? I'm leaning towards a tractor only because of the slope on the ditch I have.

    • @poyganoutdoors6406
      @poyganoutdoors6406 Před rokem

      Thanks for watching! I'm not sure what degree my ditch is, but it has a slightly lessor slope compared to "normal" ditches around me. You can mow perpendicular to slight slopes fine. You just have to obviously stear the mower into the slope a bit. To be safe, I'd go the tractor route if you are worried about it. I mow some lawns where I have to bring another tractor or a push mower to do the ditches separately which is kind of a pain. But it is still faster than the 1992 John deere I use to mow with. Another thing, if your ditch isn't too long, you could always mow it parallel with the slope. Hope that helps!

    I just bought a 2022 Timecutter 50" from a big box store, winter right now so it will be several months before I start it and use it but I am not finding anything on servicing the transmissions, I do see fill plugs but no drain plugs. I am thinking this mower has non-serviceable transmission but maybe I can somehow siphon out the oil and replace with new oil after some use. Any experience with that yourself? I pull the spark plug and feed a 1/4" thick nylon rope into the cylinder with the piston down, Once the cylinder is full ,pull on the cord lightly . This holds the clutch without damage to the piston. Remove the clutch, grease bearing. screw the clutch back on and give it a tap or two , the engine will tighten it..Done
